Why was the single and album version so different? I love both but they're almost different songs.

Man, this song takes me back... this and the original track by Dune. This is actually a remix by DJ Liquid. People seem to switch the two a lot. I used to, too, though.
Interesting, tell me more about this "DJ Liquid Remix"! I own this album and there's no mention of it anywhere on the tracklisting. As far as I know, this version is the first version done for the album, whereas the "popular" version like in this video: czcams.com/video/5KJ__06kyxs/video.html is only on the single release and is named "Video Mix" (or "12 Inch Mix" for the longer version in that same style).
@@YokoInTheMix , I'll take your word for it. I don't know anything about DJ Liquid except that when I looked this track up years ago to figure out which one was from Dune, I found that this version was under DJ Liquid and the track that you have linked there was under Dune.

I think that DJ liquid may have downloaded this tune and claimed it as their own during the Napster/Kazaa era of free downloadable content. This happen a lot during those times.

This is a lot more late 90's than the original version. It's a lot more less danceable, unless your off your face on cheap speed or Ket. Or in a Gay Bar and trying to pull those girls that go to a Gay bar trying to get away from straight guys.
