Driving vehicles IS NOT CULTURAL. It depends on which white industry has an influence in your country. South Africa has British. You obviously have American influence.
Just to add on, driving style in Cameroon and most West African countries is French system, this covers all former French colonies. In South and east Africa it's british system.
Kahleni hawu😂😂😂😂 they are culture shocks for real... if you look at the word more in line with economics than with amasiko... the word culture in that context means a way in which things are done within an organisation or institution or region.
🗣️🎙️No, it's not what they want no is it culture. It's pro Caucasian feminism movement. Feminists also came up with woman's pants/trousers 👖 as a challenge to men.
I've been living here all my life, and as far as most of us are concerned there's Gauteng, North West, KZN, Mpumalanga, Limpopo, Western Cape, Eastern Cape and then Northern Cape/Free state (We don't care about those 2).😅😅😅😂
There's history behind our women's day. It's not just a public holiday. And we do commemorate. Maybe you just didn't see any celebrations where you were at.
You need to travel around the country to have a proper perspective. Each province is like a a different state. We have a different climate, culture, languages and people. We are so unique and diverse as a country.
Our women's day celebrated because there was a women's strike to the Union building on the 09 of August back during apartheid, they were striking for women's rights
Which country are you from ?? For US south africans it's a cultural SHOCK to see people in West African countries , especiall Nigera casually taking a SHIT on the side of a busy 'highway '
Nah not Zulu people only instead all black South Africans darling, we in the cities 🌆 for work but at home in the rurals we have cows 🐄, it’s a must have 💁🏽♂️,not all of us are Zulu’s loud and arrogant 🙄.
Just stumbled across your page.. have to say its beautiful see South Africa from the perspective of an African traveller.. just makes me feel proud to be South African... hope you enjoyed your stay in Durban my hometown... peace and love
The toilet thing haven't seen in it over a decade. I feel you learnt about only one Province, the Zulus. There are wealthier Provinces. We have 9 Provinces in total. Visit again ❤
Keeping cows is African tradition. You will also find them in huge numbers in zimbabwe, Zambia, Malawi, Mozambique, Tanzania, Kenya, ethiopia, to name a few. If you want to marry a girl, you pay 3 female cows or more to the family. Of course these days they convert that value into money.
You saw cows in rural towns and villages. You were clearly in the countryside of KwaZulu Natal province , you wouldn’t see a single cow in our cities and urbanised towns like Durban, Cape Town, Johannesburg etc
In SA we no longer use those toilets where you have to use a lever to flush. They are old fashioned and only in facilities you will find them. Most houses in cities use the ine with a press button. The buttons are usually two, one to flush urine and another to flush faeces.
Most countries that drive on the left side of the road have the driver on the right. This includes the UK and Ireland. It is because I is easier to see the oncoming traffic. Also, you went visiting the rural. You can not compare one part of rural SA to the developed parts. Unfortunately its becoming a typical African country.
But SA has always been a typical African country. I think it's developing to be honest. Social media is showcasing and exposing so much of SA that some people have not seen, especially the privileged who've lived in suburbs all their lives.
You need to research our country's vast cultural differences more and travel across the country to understand that where you are is very different to other parts of the country. Happy travels❤
It's interesting to see somethings that are just sooo normal, being a cultural shock to other people😂. Second person I saw who is shocked about potatoes being common😂😂
When I was a school girl our schools never allowed us to wear short skirts. They even used to send you back home if your skirt was above the knee. These days...😢
I think they are more expensive (to own and 'maintain'/farm`) in many parts of Africa. And goats are relatively more affordable and easier to find and farm. So I think the shock was more how everyone, and not just the super rich, farm cattle in SA
Cattle rearing in east and Southern African regions of Africa is a cultural practice but in other African regions like West and central it’s usually Muslims that keep cattle.
Your video is very different, you say that SA drives on the left side, many African countries drive on the left because of colonization, the UK drives on the left, and you never say where you are, Cape Town, South Africa, Durban, South Africa, Pretoria, South Africa, the Johannesburg, South, Africa, santon South Africa, East London, South Africa, Bloemfontein, South Africa, SA is a huge place where are you? I’ve seen hundreds of videos on South Africa and I’ve never seen a cow
Oh wow! I am happy to receive a subscription and comment from you.💃 I do follow most of your videos, especially the ones you did in Ghana.🥰 Your strides inspires me to keep on.
that flushing button is mostly found at old buildings however, old flashing system i think it's better than the new flushing system...its more durable and reliable for public spaces
We make our own cars, if you want to import a car you will have to pay tax equivalent the current value of that particular model, this is designed to discourage citizens from importing & support our economy by buying South African produced goods
@jabikaty2613 Definitely not what you associated with our customs, social behavior, and ideas. You need to investigate our culture more. Then you'll know what a Western influence is that's frowned upon or questioned by the natives vs their culture.
I did read before going to SA but I read mostly about the provinces and tourist attractions. I think that is why I had the driving shock. I think regardless of how one reads, one is bound to face some shock.
What strange about South African cows 🐄🐮 is that even during the night 🌃 times you will see them roaming the waste area or street chowing pickN pay plastics.
😅 ankr wena you always eat fish us here in south Africa we eat cow meat the whole South Africans stop saying zulus we are the same here in south Africa our cultural food almost the same
As a visitor to South Africa, surely someone must have informed you that almost all over the world every country has it's own unique ways of living, dining and travel. As much as you found it strange here, so too do we experience similar experiences in other countries we travel to. It's a case of adapt for your stay and revert to normal back home.
Short dressess are not part of our culture mam. The length of the dress is determined by the strictness of the school and or the circumstances of students. In areas where people don't have a lot of money you may find they can't afford a new dress every year as the girl grows. In other circumstances the students try be fashionable and make their dressess short and end up being sent home by the school for promoting nonsense. Other schools the teachers will undo the seams with scissors to make the dress long as punishment.
If you do say so, but I have seen some wearing short skirts even on TikTok videos, and they don't look poor. Regardless I wonder why the school authorities allow that length in school. Because there are other societies who also do not have enough money but their skirts are not this short. That is why I kind of thought it's something they are okay with and it is acceptable.
@@jabikaty2613 The schools don't allow it. It's against their rules. Even though each school sets their own rules they are usually very similar and strict. In fact the ever meddling South African Human Rights Commission are saying it's "too strict" and is infringing on student rights which in my opinion is just nonsense. As for the young girls that genuinely can't afford a new dress, you can't judge them until you actually understand that it's all they can afford especially in the current South African economy.
cow thing is for all tribes in south africa ,sothos, zulus, xhoza, tswana , pedi ,venda, xtsonga

wait what, short school dresses are part of their culture? Did you just say that? Its just what the student wants, it has nothing to do with culture
🗣️🎙️No, it's not what they want no is it culture. It's pro Caucasian feminism movement. Feminists also came up with woman's pants/trousers 👖 as a challenge to men.

The country has 9 provinces and each is quite unique, you must come back and experience them it will give you a more complete picture.
I've been living here all my life, and as far as most of us are concerned there's Gauteng, North West, KZN, Mpumalanga, Limpopo, Western Cape, Eastern Cape and then Northern Cape/Free state (We don't care about those 2).😅😅😅😂

Brilliant!

We drive on the left because we don't copy everything americans do. We are creative and independent in thinking.
Our cars(right hand drive) and roads system was adopted from the British .
You people really amazed me,botswana, eswatini, Mozambique, lesotho zimbabwe Namibia all do what you saying . You worship/ warship us 2 much.
