Having tried to use my M1 iPad Pro with magic keyboard as a MacBook Pro replacement and failed, my vote goes with Surface Pro 11. I've been using a Windows 11 arm PC daily for the past 15 months. I am aware of its limitations, but offers many benefits when running arm optimised apps, and is completely silent compared with Intel and AMD variants. I have also found solutions to all that effect my workflow, plus seen many improvements with the OS, especially with regards x64 emulation, and the new Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite with more performance will further enhance that experience.
honest review and I share the same
I’ve tried the same with iPad with magic keyboard to replace laptop and just gave me headaches trying to some work with excel. Is terrible how limited is an crazy expensive stuff like the iPad 😢.
Thanks for sharing your experience with it.
Thank you for sharing, I need to replace both my MacBook and my IPad because they’re not working anymore and I was thinking about buying only 1 device but I know from experience that iPad doesn’t work as a laptop at all so maybe I’ll try the surface tablet
iPad Pro is a tablet that thinks it's a laptop. Surface Pro is a laptop that thinks it's a tablet.
iPads still have the archaic "iOS but bigger" even if they gave it a fancy name, it's just customized iOS for big screens.
The Surface runs FULL WINDOWS. That's the key difference. It's literally the thing people have been asking Apple for YEARS.
U may use MSP11 for at least 5 years.
Ive used and experienced MSP6 for 6 years and stil good and relevant. This is the good benchmark from my side.
Nice.
You can choose a good folio for the iPad, which will give you the same experience as a kickstand.
I haven't tried either of them, but I'm currently using macbook for work, that is so old it doesn't receive the upgrade to Sonoma. I'm willing to try MSP, but my concern is how long the OS is supported and whether it will be compatible with future OS upgrades
Surface Pro = Portable Laptop with tablet capabilities. iPad Pro = Oversized iPhone / Tablet.
TU on the video ... Decided on Surface Pro. It easy to to upgrade from 256 to 512 and 1TB SSD. Does not appear your able to do that with the iPad. The one thing that I only like with the iPad was able to get it in a 11" screen. Anyway ... getting up an age and my eyes are going bad anyway don't rightly care about 1600 nits vs 900 nits. Apple accessories vs Microsoft accessories are usually more expensive. And not sure how good Apple Magic Keyboard is, cost is $100 more than Microsoft and it appears to be a lot of complaints.
Surface Pro is 40% cheaper than iPad with about the same size RAM and SSD...
no. the lowest is 16gb, no more 8gb in 2024, only apple doing it shamelessly for that price.
@Bizmops 3,5 years ago Apple sold phones with 4GB RAM, meanwhile S20 Ultra sold with 16GB RAM, now check which device still have the newest OS update.. and Apple will be able to support those 4GB phones for a 3-4 years, meanwhile Android state the 16GB device is not strong enough to get the upgrade.. and Windows is stepped on the same direction, killing their Windows support after a few years.. (by the way it's not Apple mistake, if the competition are incompetens, Apple can even run the demanding benchmarks on that 8GB RAM, which proof that the lighter tasks also can run on it, when other devices just throw an not enough memory error under 16GB...)
Look which from both (S20 ultra vs ANY iPhone even with latest buggy iOS) has desktop mode, which can work with two apps at a time, which has a good zoom, which has a multiple entry copy/paste memory, which can be fully customized. So.. having more years of non important updates from iOS is far relevant.
With a real PC OS unlike the JOKE that is iPad OS.
@@TamasKiss-yk4stthats software update comparing you said is the thing in the past now and not relevant anymore to offer, my oldass a32 from samsung in 2021 still receiving new update as per today.. everybrand already lead to that direction
I prefer Surface Pro.
It does have some perk.
No matter how cool the iPad is you are comparing Windows, a full productivity OS with iPadOS, a toy OS. Surface Pro all the way. Unless of course you are using it exclusively for browsing and email, then go for iPad.
MSP, no doubt. My only concern is that ARM Windows . It can't run regular games and some apps. ...
I'm looking also Asus Flip PCs, since some of them also have dedicated GPU.
Agreed.
Telephone i choose iphone…
Tablet i prefer MSP…
Good decision.
To me personally, it’s the seamless integration between my laptop, phone and tablet, which currently Apple has an advantage.
I have used Both Windows and Apple devices, and find that for Windows, the integration is still lacking. However I do run Windows on my MBP, as there are still things (though less so now) that I can only run on Windows.
Looking forward to MS closing this integration gap soon to have even more healthy competition in this space.
Note: I have also used Android devices but I’m limited to my Windows and Apple experience to fully take advantage of the Android infrastructure which I think is also great in its own way.
Thanks for sharing your opinion.
Apple has you trapped in their ecosystem. Escape the matrix

M4 is not a computer, so don't waste your money.
It isn't?
@@Techfluencerjust a big iPhone
You are right
The M4 iPad Pro 11" aspect ratio is now 10:7
Bigger screen does matter.
What about Heat? My Surface Pro 8 gets so damn hot even in only browsing, I cant put the pad on my knees because they burn. And batterylife is way less than approached, after 3 hours browsing the surface is complete empty. And if I work with Lightroom editing, the Surface is complete empty in 1,5 hours. My Samsung Tab S9 is always very cool with 9h displaytime.
The heat problem still exists (just check their own provided diagrams, Surface runs 5-10°C hotter and 7dBm louder, so still hotter even with a cooler..) also 12 power cores can eat more battery like just 4 power cores in the M4, don't forget Windows is a multitasking operation system, even if most app only use one core, 6-8 app together will use 6-8 cores..
@@TamasKiss-yk4st yes an absolut mess.... I use the Surface only for certain tasks mostly on my relax seat with power supply and it stays the complete time on reduced 50% battery. for everything else I use my Samsung Tab s9 ultra because I raised up with android. I think that Windows will never be as optimized as Android or iOs.
my i5 SP8 doesn't get hot with that, and never that hot unless I'm playing for .ong at max brightness
Don't compare like that 'man Why yards perfer this dumb thin' 'cause it may only 5G and my house cannot buy 5G Sim because I am poor enough to buy 5G SIM of time
Bro say SP8 not SP11
