      i bought a ceo flipper not knowing much about these slim dress knives. i’m a spiderco para 2 guy. so bigger knives is my style. the minute i put the ceo in my hands i didn’t like it. lock sucks, knife isn’t sharp out of box, horrible gimping and thumb flicker. did a search for vids on youtube and saw the samior and bought it. mines titanium scales all blk. what a knife. literally razor sharp! scary sharp! amazing lock up and way smoother bearings. the flicker thumb stud is 100% better also. all around better product!

    I go through a lot of sealed bags working in ems, and this fits in the arm pocket along with some pens. Im keeping it purposefully not sharp so it'll only cut thru plastic and paper, and nothing else.

    I am seriously considering this knife M390 wow. I also recognize that full honors burial memorial U.S. military presentation flag. My dad too. North Korea, Vietnam twice, Bronze Star Cluster. RIP and I miss you pop! (sorry but that same wood encased flag kinda messed me up.)

    Hey bro. I'm you 120th sub.🎉 What's your opinion between this and the CRKT CEO❓(unfortunately, both made in China. Have a USA-made gentleman's slim/light better edc option?) May your effort here prosper. 👍🏼👍🏼

    • @nononsenseedc8662
      @nononsenseedc8662  Před 4 lety +2

      Thats awesome...thanks for the sub! I love the action on both, however I prefer the flipper on the GP vs thumb stud on CEO. While the GP does have solid construction the CEO may win that category by a hair. While the pocket clip is very nice on the GP I prefer the clip on the CEO. Closing the CEO with where the liner lock is can present challenges, its easier on the GP. Its a neck and neck race but if you can get m390 in the CEO for a reasonable price with the opening method you prefer then do it.

    The blade looks so thin, is this only a slicer or you could stab for self defense?

    • @nononsenseedc8662
      @nononsenseedc8662  Před 4 lety +4

      This is a thinner bladed knife designed to be a "gentleman carry" not self defense. Could you use it for self defense in a pinch?....sure you could stab someone witb it. Hell I can stab an assailant with a spoon in the eye if I needed to. If you are looking for self defense, this is not what you buy. A solid fixed blade or a tough folder is the way to go. Hope that helps. If you want some suggestions reach out to me directly, happy to help.

    The form is an ultralight pen knife. It really should be compared to other slim/pen knives, like the CRKT CEO and Flat Out, or the NEWOOTZ/Akatomo/Albatross/XHM Awesome knives on Amazon, maybe even the Deejo.

  • @daprophessor4201

    Im so skeptical this is m390 for 63 bucks. The cheapest m390 blade Ive ever seen. Kershaw Link in M390 was 100 and I was skeptical of that. 175 is m390 entry price. I really hope it is cause I love this knife.

      @Tiddibearr Před 2 lety

      The blade is extremely thin and 3'5 inch for that thin of a blade is not that much when compared to some other m390 blade steel knives because they use alot more of the blade material, I think it's most likely m390.

      @@Tiddibearr I bought it. It's fairly easy to sharpen, but there's no overtravel stop or steel lock bar insert. And there ends my complaints. It's a great little blade. I just wish an American company would make one with these materials. Actually, this folder, with the proper lock bar design, made with magnacut blade steel would be 100% perfect. I'd pay good money for that.
