This is what Independent Film is all about!
FRESH KILLS is the BEST film I have seen on the festival circuit in the last 15 years. A gritty, gut wrenching story about two sisters that are stuck in a life they didn't choose... Their father's mob world. BUT, It's NOT a Mob film.
The depth of character these two young actors (Emily Bader & Odessa A'zion) share in their performances, explodes from the script on to the screen, via the expert direction of Esposito. Like all classic Independent Films, FRESH KILLS is intimate and raw, while bursting at the seams with story, content and style. It should be on everyone's must see list for 2024 and beyond!
The dad had a good part and played it well in Reacher, season two.
He was a cop in The Wire also!
Nice to see chef Tom Kerridge slip into acting so effortlessly
omg, this looks brilliant! I had to stop watching the trailer, in case it was one of those trailers that tell you the whole film in 2 minutes.......
Need to know very soon when and how I can watch this movie......
For a long time I always thought that the “women of the mafia” were an extremely underutilized demographic when it came to mobster films.
It seems someone else realized this as well.
Probably for good reason?
They benefit from it and still whine about it. That isn't very interesting if that will be the main focus of the movie.
The good mothers is a amazing, very gritty and realistic show about this
Talk about being typecast 😂
He was in OZ on HBO. Contractor sent to OZ after a construction accident
He was in HBO show the wire also really good show
Always like watching things with that domenick in such a good actor
Dom Lombardozzi is one of my favorite actors. Can’t wait to see this!
Must see. Looks really good.
straight to DVD
Stil love it when "Herc" pops on the big screen or something. He's come a long way since The Wire.
Looks Good!
When you're married you'll understand the importance of fresh produce
Shouldn't be this funny lol
Looks like some quality acting there
Fire powerful film on EVERY LEVEL WELL SAID
This looks excellent!
That’s a lot of yelling there.
As an Italian thats actually how we all communicate 🤷🏼♂️
@@nylen.4715 Very true alot of yelling and a ton of hand movements 🤌
Love Jennifer Esposito! Stats and directs. She was married to Bradley Cooper …nice to see her making this movie! She was in many things Blue bloods for one…
When you stop and think about it, every mob and crime movie is from the mans perspective. That leaves a lot of story telling from the other side of the coin. Esposito has been a working actor for a long time, maybe she’s had other directing or producer credits and I missed it in the blitz of content from all of these streaming services. This looks amazing and a fresh angle on a story that’s been examined to death from the point of view of men. I’ve seen that too many times
@kermitwilson Its from the male perspective because men are the ones in the mob. What would be the point of a female perspective?

I was just about to comment this. These days people just type their intrusive thoughts and hit send.
That was a lot of yelling.
Holy shit
Looks epic
Dom will always be Dom from Entourage to me
Dramatic!
Good trailer 3 star vs good movie 3 star 😮😮😮
Esposito has been in movies for a while she's very familiar
Great actor
Herc finally went all the eay bad
🔥🔥🔥🔥
Does the title refer to Fresh Kills, Staten Island?
Good call.
Seeing as there doesn't appear to be (a lot anyway) of overt violence...this makes sense.
Ungrateful little brats ....thats what I got from this movie
Is it a movie about the mob? Or about a girl growing up in a mob family with VERY little actual mob scenes
It doesn’t matter, be prepared for the obligatory gay scene and the transgender FBi detective.
Looks decent......I guess.
He was on entourage
Could have done without the loud violin music drowning out the dialogue.
Mob bawwwssss
A REMAKE OF MY DINNER WITH ANDRE WITH BAD ACTORS BADLY PRETENDING.
Just what I want from a mob movie. A bunch of women crying about how hard they have it as their father provides everything they could ever want. SMH.
Exactly, the daughter and wife have no problem benefiting from the life.
The background music could have stayed in the background and maybe the preview could have explained what the situational nuances were? I won’t even watch it when/if it is free of charge
I would love to see him an an Army kickass movie fight aliens intruders invading nyc directed buy the dudes who gave us the matrix...is that to much too ask for.
Why are they showing so much women whining in a mob movie, this is probably gonna be annoying to watch 😂😂😂
Ugh ?
So he ate a lot and slept with his daughters as the twist ?
Don’t be Fooled Guys. This is a Feminist Movie, that paints The Females as Victims, and The Males( Father ), as The Devil.
Mafia movie from the female POV? Nahhhh
You don't want to hear chicks scream and whine for 2 hours?
Saw it. If you adore the mob flick then give it whirl but bottom line nothing new to the genre at all and kinda cliche.
I automatically assumed this was going to be a The Sopranos satire. 4th generation “Italian Americans” have got to move away from this stereotype.
This looks like crap .
Herc
Aww shit hulk from the wire
Look like alot of spoilt women shouting nothanks
A Story from the mobster's wife's perspective. Yawn!!
As a proud Italian I’ll pass, when are they going to make movies that depicts Italians in a positive light for once
It's very true the Italians are always depicted in the worst way.
Honestly there's been very few positive depictions of Italian Americans in film or TV. The Karate Kid and Everybody loves Raymond are all I can think of.
I'm a black man I understand your pain! I dont watch slave movies any more
They have ..they’re just not entertaining. Sorry 🤷♂️
They pretty much do this with every group, Irish Americans fight, get drunk and have the most annoying Boston accent in every movie or show. Jewish men are always wimpy, and the women are always loud/annoying.
Has this guy ever played anything but a mafia guy lol….I know of IMDB, please don’t recite his credits 🤦♂️
yes, i just saw him playing a cop. kind of the same guy, but he was wearing a badge.
The Wire...he played a cop...
@@theresetplayers3189lol
In Reacher he was a cop too...
Herc in the wire
A load of moaning women by the looks of it. No thanks.
Looks awful.
Same mafia nonsense
What Dana White doing in this movie?
Trash
