Kaleido chick makes this deck even better, Because when the chick is banished the opponent can't activate anything in the battle phase, it's the same as the bls legendary swordsman
Im so happy to see people testing and trying my Magikey Gearfried deck list! Ironically it directly counters Lunalights and im farming wins on ranked since Lunas are everywhere. Another great video Mekk! Love the content bro.
@@h870 I honestly think it's better than Pure Magikey. You should try it, it's pretty expensive but definitely worth it in my opinion. I love Gearfried everything so it's my favorite deck.
I put enough gems to almost make the deck, just missing 1 chick but currently kinda feeling mixed. Perhaps my decklist just Isn't good enough but i just haven't had as much fun and success with it as i was hoping. Only put in about 1.5k gems the first time, reset, put in almost 2.5k gems, reset and finished with 1k more gems. 5K gems overall isn't that bad especially since i just reset my account a couple months ago. But maybe i'll pick them back up if they become tiered
agree with what raindown6702 deck says, it's a combo deck that can moonlight (HAHAHAHA) as an OTK strat and your plays especially going 2nd are rarely linear imo. hope my trash tier gameplay helped you understand the deck somewhat!
@@mekklord admittedly I haven't used Lunalights before DL, so I'm most likely just inexperienced since this would be my first time really seeing what the deck can do. Looking at your list, it's much better optimized than mine, I'll try to work with them more and practice the deck much more too 👍
@@mekklord Yeah, it definitely takes some time to figure out the optimal lines, especially with the new skill. Before the skill the deck was more simple but also way weaker.
It brings back memories of how much I hated Lunalights back then, still do. Back when Metalfoes was meta, nearly every D-Draw Lunalight matchup meant autoloss even if all they had was Sabre Dancer. That said, I remember squeezing some wins by giving my opponent my normal monster with Monster Seizure/Shien's Spy as double piercing target 😅
Lunalight is good, but it has a huge issue vs certain decks. From my experience, yubel is an autoloss if they set spoly, live twin flips idp and you lose, magikey makes 2 spell negates which hurts like hell
Yubel can be a v tough matchup - Tiger King certainly helps a lot and I think Knightmare Phoenix is also p useful, and I think the deck is flexible enough to not autolose even in tougher matchups
@@mekklord Understandable but they got a really cool rank 4 that can shuffle 2 cards from grave to the deck. You can put the BLS ritual spell and thier Dark Magician back. The first time I did this they top decked the ritual spell tho.
In the second game you should have sent wolf with Chick because if you get it in the GY you can retrieve it with black sheep on turn 3 (you should play 3 black sheep, it's busted with the new skill)
