some dogs are just tough as shit, i adopted a stray dog and she just basically roams around our property. Definitely not taking the best care of her but she still going strong at 15years old. She got our family confused and we were curious so we took her to the vet to have her checked out, and the vet told us that beside for worms she is healthy.
