Have you heard the Sonos Fives in binaural stereo?

- I thought long and hard about it and I finally choose the Sonos Fives as my reference speaker. Every other speaker that I will come across in the foreseeable future will use the Sonos Fives as the benchmark.
Let me explain why I chose it as such, with a frequency response chart. And I have recorded a song (copyright free) with the highest level of fidelity, in binaural audio, so that you can hear it for yourself.
The Fives are still the king of music speaker, ousting even the Era 300, which are great for Atmos music on Apple Music. But if you are not on Apple Music, trust me, the Fives are your friend when it comes to music.

Hi Peter, love your videos. Hey I was wondering have you had any issues with your arc not wanting to Connect through airplay. I haven’t been able to airplay to my arc in over two weeks, I have tried everything online and still haven’t found a solution. Have you ever had this issue?
Hi Peter I need your help. So I have a beam gen 2 connects to 4k projector via earc . The beam works fine as a stand alone but when I pair the ceiling speakers as surrounds through sonos amp the audio is distorted in the surrounds. But when use them as stand alone stereo pair they work fine. Please help

I left everything stock. No change from factory default. Zero to bass, treble, loudness on. No subs.

Wonderful video. I have a question that I think only u might be able to answer :)
I have sonos 5s as surrounds with arc and Sub. When I turf off the Sub , I notice that the bass in the Arc and Fives increases after a minute or so. And when I turn the sub back on, the bass in the speakers go away. I know this is by design. What If I want the same bass in Fives even when the Sub is turned on?
You can turn up the bass on the EQ and turn down the Sub levels, this will increase the bass on all speakers, but you can manage the sub from overpowering the Arc and Fives. Though, this is not ideal, if the Arc and Fives are working hard to produce bass, they aren't playing mids and highs as clearly! This is what the Sub is meant for, and it makes everything else sound clearer.
Thanks for the video! Do you have the tweeters inwards or outwards for the fives? I prefer to have them inwards.
He's got them on the outside. I also prefer the inside, however.
Hi Peter and thanks for yet another brilliant and informative video - th amount of effort you put into them is very clear. I have a question if I may? I recently bought a pair of ERA 300's + Sub Gen 3 for music listening. So far so good. In your experience are the Play 5's better for music than the ERA 300's? I haven't yet heard the 5's. Also, can a 2nd subwoofer be added to ERA 300's or Play 5's? In previous non Sonos set ups at home, I've usually heard benefit from having dual subs for music so wondering if the same would apply to Sonos?
@Denis You cannot add dual sub to pair of Era or Fives, You need an Arc sound bar to go dual Sub.
Era 300 got upper hand as surround speakers and when playing spatial Audio. For stereo Music Fives edges Era slightly as per most of the reviews.

I just bought the Sonos Arc on sale for $850 CAD plus 12% taxes here and two Sonos Five for $1060 CAD plus 12% taxes (awesome deals) but trying to justify if I need the Sub ?, please advise.
It is not the money but trying to think if it would really add to the experience?

Word on the street is that the Nakamichi Dragon 11.4.6 is here to dethroned our full Sonos system with the Arc, two era 300 and two subs system. Are you by chance going to be doing a full comparison between the two systems? Please do I really want to hear your honest opinion before I go spend over $3,500 to replace my current Sonos set up. I hope you can answer.
