    Excellent presentation sir...however I had two doubts of you could answer them
    1.Is it necessary to use TPA?
    2. Why no power chain was used as conventional three piece?

      @essentialbiomechanics9381  Před 2 lety +1

      Good questions Dr! 1- If the patient has a reduced periodontium (as usual in these cases), a TPA is highly recommended - to keep the transversal dimensions of the arch. 2- with the cantilever you have a better control of the forces, you can have both vertical and horizontal vectors at the same time. The powerchain is normalyy used when you need to add some horizontal forces.

    What if we want to close 1st premolar space too..?

      You can control the application of a distal force using this mechanics, so anterior retraction is possible.

      the models are called TYPODONT models. In Brazil, they are easily found in any dental store. I'm sorry, but I don't know any international store that sell them online. Good luck!

    I had deepbite problem because I had a bracelet treatment from a dentist not orthodentids that I didn't know. Now I looking for orthodentids who can fix that deep bite. The other doctor says it is easy like piece of cake by just appling your bracelets down your teeth close to the end of my front teeth. Should I be worried that it will be wrong treatment again? I spent 2 years waiting for better look and all I had is new problems. Please I need professional opinion. Thank you.

    Why power chains are not incorporated to avoid proclination of incisors?Forces won’t pass from CR but labial to CR

    Can we use this mechanics for en masse retraction and intrusion or you would suggest something else ?

    • @essentialbiomechanics9381
      @essentialbiomechanics9381  Před 6 lety +1

      andrija grujic for en masse movements I would suggest the same mechanics but supported by miniscrews. Take care to choose the bracket head ones, taking care with the senses of the applied moments. They should increase the firmness of the screws. So, in the example of the video, a left-handed thread type should be used on the left side; and a right-handed one on the right side.

      @andrijagrujic7667 Před 6 lety +1

      Can we use indirect connect the palatal miniscrews to the molars and then use cantilevers from buccal side? How much force we need for en masse retraction and intrusion?

    • @essentialbiomechanics9381
      @essentialbiomechanics9381  Před 6 lety

      andrija grujic yes you can. About the forces, the values will depend of some factors. Its difficult tô generalize. For a normal bone support, for example, 200g and 80g for retraction and intrusion, respectively should be OK. However, for bone loss conditions, in which this mechanics is indicated, these values must be reduced accordingly.
