- Miniscrew sliding mechanics eliminates anchorage problems and easily achieves retraction of the anterior teeth. The direction of the force and a good torque control have a great influence on the movement pattern of the teeth. In this video, we share some clinical tips for extraction space closure using self-ligating brackets.

What is that gauage called that you are using for measuring force?
Tq .
Why use a continuous arch? If the line of force goes through the anterior center of resistance, segmented mechanics could have been used as well (less friction to overcome, possibly beneficial for miniscrew stability).
You´re right Dr Maciej, especially regarding the miniscrew stability. However, the anterior torque control is more complex using segmented mechanics. You can not have this control by torquing the wire and sometimes it´s difficult to apply a force in the appropriate line of action. Therefore, this video is a clinical tip for those that prefer to work with sliding mechanics.
Thank Your for Your answer and video, doctor :) One way I can think of to better control anterior torque during segmented technique retraction is the use of anteriorly tied intrusion arch (provided some overbite reduction is indicated or tolerable).
Hi doc whats the name of the force measuring device?
Tensiometer of dynamometer. The brand I indicate is CORREX
এক্সসেলেন্ট
retraction= shit. stop doing that
