Title: Hills of Ireland
Jeff and Mychael Danna’s A Celtic Romance is the imaginary soundtrack for the poignant 9th century Irish legend of Liadain and Curithir. It combines the moods of Celtic folk instrumentation with monastic choral chants and the majesty of symphonic orchestration. Once Mychael & Jeff Danna set their "Celtic legend" wheels in motion, there was no turning back. Their luminous 1996 Hearts O'Space debut, A Celtic Tale, set a lofty standard for popular Celtic music. Their new collaboration, A Celtic Romance, raises the bar even higher, merging the melancholy strains of traditional Celtic folk instrumentation with the choral magic of early music chants and the majesty of symphonic orchestration.
The album also includes "The Blood of Cu Chulainn", which has gained international fame as the stirring theme from The Boondock Saints motion pictures.
Jeff Danna is an award-winning Canadian film composer. Born in Burlington, Ontario, to a musical family active in local theatre and church choir, Danna was a reluctant young piano student but found solace in an electric guitar left behind at his home by a friend. Unknowingly following in the path of three generations of Winnipeg mandolin players, progress came quickly. He began playing professionally at the age of 15 until a hand injury brought his performance career to a halt at 22. He has composed or co-composed scores for a wide range of films and television, including The Boondock Saints (1999), Resident Evil: Apocalypse (2004), Silent Hill (2006), The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus (2009), The Good Dinosaur (2015), Storks (2016), The Breadwinner (2017), The Addams Family (2019), Onward (2020), Guillermo Del Toro’s Tales of Arcadia (2020), Nora Twomey’s My Father’s Dragon (2022) and Julia (2022). His older brother, composer Mychael Danna, is a frequent collaborator, and the two have received Emmy nominations for their work on Camelot (2011), Tyrant (2014-2016), and Alias Grace (2017). Additionally, Danna has been nominated for six Annie Awards, won five BMI Film & TV Awards, a Gemini Award, a Genie award, two Hollywood Music in Media Awards, and 15 SOCAN Awards. - Hudba
One of the best melodies I’ve ever heard!
I'll always love this melody, thank you
Listened to this song back when I had Napster (Formerly known as Rhapsody). This song is so underrated and yet it brings in so much emotion.
Hey Hoppy Music thanks . You might like the other Celtic album we did ' A Celtic Tale' and my score to ' Closing the Ring ', which is also Celtic music. Thanks for checking out my channel.

Still listening Jeff Danna in 2022. We love you.
Love you folks too !
I love this song
Isn't this "Koukai" from Ragnarok Online 2?
Interesting observation , Mayu-kyon. RO2 was released in 2012/2013. This album was released in 1998. Thanks for the heads up and for checking out my channel.
@@JeffDannaMusic Aww, another case of Yoko Kanno's plagiarism it seems (she used to be RO2 composer.) The track I'm referring to was used as a BGM in the canceled project "Gate of The World", from back in 2007. The project was cancelled and from the looks of it they hired another composer for the 2012 version. She got popular on that instance for plagiarizing a track from Hevia, too... With all that aside, this is such a wonderful gem. Your work is awesome! I'm subscribed! ❤
Thank god i am not alone with this observation it's so strikingly simulare it's actually crazy. Now we know why Yoko Kanno allways droped such bangers
