FINALLY part 2 is here!! thank you for watching! 🍵 COMMENT BELOW, are you a
(a) frontend engineer (b) backend engineer (c) fullstack engineer (d) ux designer
(e) artist (f) other! share below
feel free to link any personal projects you'd love to share.
Probably E, I do a lot of digital art nowadays!
e and f! :)
E & F
I enjoy doing travel photography on the side. I’m currently looking to switch up careers to become a engineer/designer. Love your content as well as others on CZcams that help inspire me. It won’t be an easy task learning a brand new field but that’s all part of the journey. Thank you for all the content that you make!
E and F!!!! Hehehe 🥰💗
I work in the law field full time and do art on the side! A personal project I am working in is opening my own Etsy store!
artist, i'm famililar with the frontend and ux design
I have no idea what's going on but I still enjoy watching!
i love how you teach us and not just the aesthetics
I have no idea what any of the coding meant in this video but I think if I had known what you meant this would be a great video to follow. You showed and explained everything so well and i think it was really nice that you added the actual code on screen so everyone could follow along and see what you were talking about.
This was actually so helpful and cleared up a lot of things for me on how to organize my design and code workflow! I like how you broke the design down into components from a developer perspective and showed how the order you code your components and how you check the spacing. I used to always get lost in the multitude of ways of converting a design into code so thank you for sharing your method.
I'm a product designer and I always enjoy seeing different processes / approaches to this field. And everything is super cozy of course. Love it!
Maisy!!! This was so fascinating to watch!!! Watching you code is so interesting to me. Like art- using tools like pens and paint you use coding as a tool to create such beautiful digital work!!! 🥺💗 I absolutely love how your website is coming together! Everything- including how this was filmed was so aesthetic which is such a welcome change! A lot of the content like this I’ve seen is bland and not visually appealing at all. You’re making such big changes in this field in the best ways! Keep going girl!!!! 💗💗💗
I love that you are a designer who also shows artsy parts. I don't know many designers who do vlogs like that
This was such as great video! I really loved how you managed to integrate the code snippets into the walkthrough of your design! It's not an easy thing to talk about the code and design side of things, but you smashed it. Love the new site, looks great. Really want to try out 3D modelling now too! You are an inspiration, thanks so much.
Okay I am literally in love with your voice and aesthetics! What a unique human you are. It’s like a real life animal crossing. Cozy, nostalgic, soft but with touches of warmth and edgy. What a beautiful life you have curated. You have a new fan and subscriber from me! ☺️❤️
hi maisy! i recently graduated hs and been exploring a lot of different careers, especially creative work. ever since i found your channel ive become interested in what you do! thx for sharing what you, it gives me a lot of insight into this career. i also love your setup :)
Maisy, I just recently discovered your channel and have binge watched your videos since! I am in love with your effortlessly cozy style and how inviting your channel is. Thank you for being a youtuber.
I am a UX/UI student and would love more videos on how you like to use figma, maybe even some basic coding or website tutorials for designers like me who don't have any coding background. I must have watched your video on how you made your sister's website at least 5 times lol.
Am a big fan! 🤍🤎
I’m blown away by your editing here. Love the code snippets as you are doing your walkthroughs. Subbed.
Really love the content. I love seeing how you break down components before starting your coding.
Thank you so much 🥰😍! This video is super helpful~ I’ve started coding and was stuck on the workflow/process/steps of how to go about the structure for web development 🥲😆but this gave me the general idea I needed- thank you again, do keep adding to your design and code playlist! I’m here for every episode!🤗
i love thisssss! the way you show us your approaches and details are what i needed almost exactly. thank you so muchh💛
Yayyy!! I watch your videos as part of my 30 minutes a day to calm myself and wind down and I love it!
You make developing seem really fun and relaxing. I've been a frontend dev for a little over a year now and i've still yet to fall in love with it. However your videos inspire me to get creative with it and really learn to enjoy the process.
Hello what he mean to learn how rows and columns works how to code them in react 😆
I'm loving this so much! I am a graphic designer and I recently just started to learn HTML coding and I'm soooo excited and inspired watching your videos❤
Thank you so much for going into your code! Sweet mix of a cute vlog and practical coding tips 😊
I thoroughly enjoyed watching this second part of the setup series. I'm a mega beginner at coding but watching these is making me want to continue the grind of re-learning now. I'm more of an artist but I took a Javascript class at school a few years back. But just a few months go trying my hands-on learning python which I have surprisingly gotten a basic grasp of. I hope to learn enough python that I can make my own website to open up my dream website where I can share stuff with friends or potential clients for whenever I make games or create any art I can have easy access to it all. thanks for being one of many motivators.
Your videeo was so smoth, i love it also i learn something new, the things with the grids was so good. Ty for made this videos !!
Thank you for breaking down the components! It's a good practice to follow
Hey Maisy, this was a great video. I loved your breakdown of the website set-up and how that translates to the different code components.
Echoing someone else's request to get an overview of how you set up your grid system in react!
It’s so good to see the beautiful aesthetics of your vlogs! Really love it 😍
Keeps inspiring me to vlog more and more 🥰🙇🏻♀️🤩🙏🏻🤩👌🏻
I'm a front end developer and I absolutely loved this video. Very nice to see your workflow :)
I really love your videos. It keeps me motivated in finishing my course. Hope to ee more videos like this
The dining table gives cafe vibes. Love it!
I'm so glad I found this channel, I started graphic designing back in 2019 and branching out to software engineering and the thought of choosing one above the other has been killing me. Pls do you think you could do a video on how you handle design and code jobs
I currently do more frontend work, but I'm starting to learn a little bit of backend stuff, and I'm loving it! Do you have any backend knowledge, Maisy? Just wondering...
i have some backend knowledge - but im predominantly frontend & designer
@@maisyleigh Great, I love this type of video. I have a question: I studied js, but I don't know how to do 3D. Is there a course you would recommend me to watch so that I can work on 3D, Greetings from Syria 🌹
hey Maisy your videos are great and your work is out of this world, you have a very special unique process and order of doing your work and projcts
soo cool! i like that you designed your website with columns...i think thats pretty smart. really cool to see your vision come to life! :)
I'm a frontend engineer! This looks amazing, Maisy! Good joob
Watching your videos since the beginning of your channel, this is my favorite so far// , lately i have been more interested in front end dev
More code with me videos please 🥺 It's very inspiring ❤️❤️❤️
Another great video from you, thank you for sharing with us your positive energy. 💻
You don’t even know how much I am in love with your channel 🥰
so happy you enjoy my content! thank you for being here
wow u are very studious the fact that u linked so many items is nice :)
her voice is so soothing just melting the tension while listening
aesthetic, simple, and helpful 🌱
you and your videos are so inspiring to me!
OH wow keep doing videos like this ✨️
great video maisy, thank you!
I'm more in PM slash data science field so looking at the colourful/aesthetic frontend like your design and house feels pleasing to the eye. I like your cute frying pans.
I just can't believe it, this girl is super talented and hardworking. How can someone be so flawless in every stuff they. Do you have any mantra or something to stay productive all the time. I developed an app for my college project and it took me like forever. I company will be so lucky to have such talent like you. The best part of your journey is that you motivate us to get off our lazy life and do something creative and productive through out the day. PS- how many coding lang. do you know.
I enjoy watching your content its so amusing and sophisticated..
I love your relaxing vlog!!
Thank you!! 😊
I have no idea how to code, but the way you explained it, I really felt like I understood :)
Another fun and cozy video! I ate just before I watched this video and got a little hungry for a snack after seeing you cook. Hahaha.
Software engineering n designer
Ohhhh appreciate your life
always love the aesthetic vibes!!😍
b
can't wait for the vid of how you have both mac and pc in one desk setup
i have a few desk setup videos on my channel that show this!
@@maisyleigh ohk thnks
little genius, go girl!
hi maisy! i really enjoy the cozy vibe videos but as a student studying this, I have to ask, could you make a more technical video? I have experience using CSS but no clue what CSS grid is! hahaha
Love the clean code popping up as you are explaining your design! Thanks so much for sharing. Question, with the way you've organised your CSS, how would the website look on a mobile phone? Is it responsive?
It's not responsive at all. On mobile, all you see is a black screen. You can try it yourself by just visiting the website and scaling down the window
interesting video, the truth amazes me how the page turned out, the truth motivates me to reach that point, since I am just starting in the world of programming, and I would like to reach that level of code...
Greetings from Colombia and excellent video
Nice to see that you’re starting with primitive components like Text!
great colors
I love your setup😊can you put everything in the description of what you bought? And how you did your keyboard? Thx happy COZY Halloween!🎃
new subscriber here. i love everything about this channel😊
I am an artist and hope soon to publish my webtoon and my own painting website. Thank you for this video. Always so motivating and relaxing
Just a suggestion, you can make those icons (right hand side) interactive like for an example if we move our cursor on it the icon pops up and then when we move away the cursor from it , it goes back the way it was just like iOS.
Or what I would also love seeing with the 3D model: Based on the moving of the cursor all objects kinda float. Maybe this effect can be made with a gradient background. The carousel also only works when you can actually slide the 2 pages. But for now one has to click on the ovals.
Overall the spacing needs some work. Something to help the hirachy.
Sorry when I give too much feedback. I an not a programmer myself and only know how to do these things with Adobe XD or Principle. I am sure those kind of changes are hard to do, especially when she does this all in her free time and it is not worth more energy for a navigation website.
@@MaryArts well don't feel bad to give feedback, you never know who might find it helpful 😊
Hey just wanted to ask how did you set-up the grid system in React.. never used it before and would really like to try..
I LOVE when you do WIP vlogs! Wonder if you’ll ever do an ASMR (no talking) video one day where you’re just designing and working? I love working alongside you as a visual designer, but sometimes I get distracted by talking, so I’ll just mute the video.
Great video
Omg, i love it
I am actually going to start doing coding lessons at my school tomorrow
kinda unrelated but I saw the Logitech combo touch featured in some of your videos. I’m considering getting it but I’ve heard the kickstand is wobbly and that’s kinda a dealbreaker for me cuz I need it to be stable for digital art and whatnot. Any experience with this? Love ur work btw xx.
edit : also does the trackpad lag 😬
Hey Maisyleigh! i was wondering ,because i'm pretty new to frontend coding, which coding language do you use?
I'm just curious which programming do you use most and which was easiest to learn for you?
Hi Maisy! I am looking into learning frontend work do you have any advice where to learn/start? Would really value your insight!
o.m.g your aesthetic is literally so calming. What's the name of this aesthetic??
Maisy hi what did you studied to get both backgrounds (programming and designing)?
I want you to teach me coding. Omg.. I don't understand it as i am a designer, but these made me interested
Do you have a video on how you got into the profession?
The Bass in the beginning of the video scared me. I have my subwoofer close to my couch 😂
Nice!!! Although I couldn’t see the 3D model (I’m on Safari)
I like your vieo so much it help me to make my own store to sell my thing . what website you used to make our put in your stores at ?
Can you make a video how did you learned code (programming )
I love your site design and enjoyed watching your design and implementation process.
Unfortunately, I can't get your site to render in my mobile browsers.
Having same issue. Colors are the only thing I see there but text and scrolling is not working.
hi @maisyleigh your work is so fine ! What's the name of the 3d software please ?
Many thanks for your greatest video !
Hi! Ethical hacker here, but I love your aesthetic! What kind of espresso machine was that? 👀
Could you please do a Q&A sometime?
Que vídeo maravilhoso 🥰 Estou estudando para ser uma desenvolvedora Front-End :)
Te desejo muito sucesso no aprendizado 😊.
Hi, I love your videos so much. Would you mind if I ask which skills to learn to become a software engineer and designer? or should I pursue a formal education at university like a software engineer program at university? Thank you so much and I hope you will reply
have you tried dual monitors because it would be much better for your coding if so I take it that you didn't like it since you have a single ultra wide.
i really want to redo my setup now. i just finished the animal crossing main story today
Hi from México!
It's official! You're my new favourite CZcamsr 🥺🫂
hey ! what is the model of your screen please thank you !! ❤️
what app do you use for the wireframe?
Hi, I'm learning frontend development, tell me how to learn how to create layouts like you, how did you learn development? What can you advise to learn effectively?
I'm curious who are your clients in making application designs?
fit is 🔥 🙂
appreciate it! :) 🤎
Can you make a video on how do you became a software engineer and designer please?
I recently just finished my internship as a web designer; hoping to learn more about front-end development! Do you Maisy (or anyone reading this comment) have any favorite resources to get started? I have been feeling quite intimidated about it.
@Jordan Wright oh okay I will give that a look!
hello, what kind of chair you have?
What model is computer chair?
I would love to see how this would translate to mobile view.
You can spike arpic??
HI. How can you put your name in desktop?. I tried to put my name in photographies and i dont know how. Please, explain me. Thanks.
You are so lucky. I have been looking for work-from-home jobs for months and I haven’t found a single one. I have never done one before and so I have no experience but would want one since I am injured and cannot get an in-person job at the moment. Do you know any good websites that I can apply to that don’t require experience? I try Indeed already but they turn out to be scams. I had 2 interviews and in one of them said I had to pay $75 monthly and in the other one left me hanging in the interview process. The rest of them got back to me saying they move on with someone else because I don’t have experience. at this point, I don’t know where to look. Any help would be great and appreciated 😊
