    Love you guys....very informative.
    I would like to add...don't get discouraged if you don't get significant relief right away. You MUST be consistent in doing the stretches every day for up to several weeks/months before total relief.
    Also make sure you sleep correctly (on your side) with a pillow between your knees and neck supported and in alignment with your back.
    It took me several months and I am proud to say I am healed without surgery....totally off meds.
    I am continuing my stretches and to make sure I stay well, I have built up my core muscles to help support my healing as well as worked on my posture (it's not perfect, but I'm getting there). I had forward head posture, arthritis, and thoracic nerve syndrome....all fixed. My doctor who suggested surgery which involved removing thumb bones is very impressed with my healing! I'm over the moon to dodge surgery and thankful for all your help.
    Hoping this encourages your readers to keep at it. Stretching, good posture, healthy eating healthy, drinking plenty of water....and staying positive are key to good health! Oh...and watching you guys 😜

      @@undrasmith1087 you need to know your insulin level. If your blood sugar is raised youve had poor blood sugar control from eating high carbohydrates. Its a matter of when not if. If youre worried theres a reason. I lost over 100 lbs doing a ketogenic diet which reverses type2 diabetes. Look up dr berry, dr boz, dr eckberg, dr berg. It will change your life! Its the best antiinflammatory diet. Shameless plug, I have a fb group called "keto for chronic disease management" to help people just like you. ✌

      & I hv discovered 2
      Of the cheapest ways
      To get it to(these tips will not take it away completely but every time my carpal tunnel acts up I do these things which are;
      1.)Soak yr hands in hot water with dawn dish liquid soap for
      (3)minutes&
      Then soak yr hands in very cold water&
      Use ice in the cold water for;
      (1)minute also
      I made a; small pillow& a small pillow case to go over the small pillow & I put my hand in the pillow case & I put my fingers over the pillow while I sleep during the night these tips always help me!!!!&So I hope my tips&

    I’m a 25 year old female with carpal tunnel on both wrists, worse on my dominant right hand. I’ve been a barista for 6 years, which is what caused it, and now am in massage therapy school. The pain has flared up majorly lately, but your videos have been so helpful.

      I'm a few months shy of 30 and I've had various intermittent tendonitis/CTS issues with my left arm/wrist for years (cause initially by RSI as a guitar player). Over the last 3y or so, my dominant right arm has far outstripped anything I ever felt in my left. Many days over the last 6-8 months were maddening, close to unbearable. I'm finally making some progress with treatment/specialist referrals but I can totally sympathize with the experience.

    Hi Bob & Brad, I went to the urgent care yesterday & they had a intern student come to check. He was more in a hurry & very unprofessional. He was not able to address my questions nor my concerns. I wanted to get a doctors note for two weeks off from work. I have two jobs as a realtor & as a Beauty consultant at Target … where the management makes you work insanely with no human consideration. Instead, he wrote me a note saying only 18 boxes a day is suitable for me. Sooo disappointed. I learned a lot from your video so thank you so much. I hope in the future ppl who join medicine must remember why they picked that career and show passion & honest dedication.

  • @ReallyRedPanda

    Working professionally in arts and writing. I just wanted to say thank you for this comprehensive video. That one exercise with the arm outstretched (palm facing the wall and neck bent) made a world of difference, it really did. It's great that you emphasised the importance of 'being a wimp' when it matters and that more pain =/= more gain so thank you for that.
    Using an arm brace, a strong balm for massaging, regular stretches, and lots of sleep and over the last couple days my grip is slowly returning, strength renewing. I'll be taking another week or so of rest just in case.
    To anyone else reading this, the worst thing you could do to yourself right now is to expect results quick. Give your body credit and trust that you will get better in good time. Try out the exercises gently (very very gently and slowly) and don't forget the importance of deep breathing as you do them. If you're emotionally overwrought and panicking you could hurt yourself further. Release the tension.
    Hydrate well, sleep deep (your body heals during deep sleep), and give yourself as much time as you can. You don't want to see incremental improvement and jump back into work as if you're all better, only to get injured again. You're going to be ok, medical procedure or no. Give yourself time.

    This was so helpful. I have carpel tunnel syndrome diagnosed. The position of my neck is the only thing that causes symptoms of numbness. The doctors want to skip directly to surgery. They didn't suggest any therapy, wearing a brace, or exercises. I kept telling them I believe my neck is the main cause. Without ever checking anything in my neck, they said you have carpel tunnel, you need surgery. I was left on my own to seek out these options. I'm so thankful for videos like this.

    As a musician (bass, Piano, guitar), I was pretty bummed when my wrists starting acting up despite paying attention to proper technique. This video has made me feel a little better and realize it's not the end of the world yet. My issues, most likely, are probably the result of my wrist position while I sleep as well as my job. I'm going to start stretching and just bought some braces to wear.

      in the same position. As soon as I felt pain beginning I went and got a brace and now I just hope with regular stretching and some lifestyle changes I will not have to worry about losing my career

      I'm a 74 year old guitar vocalist. In the past week, my wrist pain has increased, not fun. Luckily the pain is not constant. Funny the pain diminishes while playing a one hour gig. Is it mind over matter. THANKS for this video.

    Thank you so much! I was doing the glide excercise against the wall and wondering if pain is good or bad, I even asked my GP and she suggested that I tough out the pain! And the information regarding proper keyboard position online is so contradicotry!

    You guys give me so much hope. Thank you guys so much. I just heard about carpal tunnel syndrome a week ago when my doctor diagnosed me with it. He said I may need a cortisone shot in both wrists (yes, it’s on both sides) if not surgery. I told my physical therapist and he gave me a list of exercises to do to help it. Some of which you demonstrate. I hope I don’t need to have surgery with these exercises. Thank you guys so much.
