As a Greek, that's not breakfast for us. Lunch, yes, but not breakfast. Breakfast is usually things like toast, tea/coffee, marmalade, honey, etc.
Φρυγανιές
Exactly
True, and of course tyropites, koulouri, bougatsa and so on

A real Greek breakfast is a cup of coffee and a cigarette 😂
Isn't it French?
Really???
@@rukhsananisar1142 Greeks generally don't have breakfast. Maybe children will have something, but adults typically will have a coffee or something.
Yes but in the summer we EAT
Exactly!
That lady's giggles and smiles would light up any room she is in. Love the choice of clothes she wore today, the colours look good on her.
Nah, looks terrifying 😂
Love her. She was great on the women's channel. She is hilarious. ❤
She's gorgeous! ❤
Salaamalaikum Tribal People Try channel! You need to do a video where you teach them English words/phrases and maybe a little quiz at the end. Love the videos!

So sweet and well-mannered people. Greetings from Greece ❤
We don’t eat potatoes for breakfast. Actually most Greeks don’t eat breakfast at all! Only coffee ☕️
Don't you find your energy diminishing and be starving by lunchtime if you eat no breakfast? What is the normal dinnertime in Greece? I would say most Americans (usually with families and young kids) are generally eating dinner between 5 and 6 pm.
I had a boss in Italy once, who's normal dinnertime was 10 pm. But then they take siestas there too. What time do most people in Greece go to bed then? 10 pm was generally bedtime for my folks when I was growing up, and about that same time too, when my late husband needed to crash. I know it varies greatly. After being alone for, over 5 years, I'm with someone new now, and he's so tired when he gets home from work, dinner is between 4:30-5:30 and he usually goes to bed between 6-7 pm (even earlier in winter when it gets dark so early), but he's up for work at 3:20 am. I'm having a very difficult time getting used to his schedule.
@@CuzKatieSaysSo In Greece dinner is like 8pm+ some times when we go out for dinner like 9:30-10pm. 5-6 is afternoon we can have like a fruit.
What are you talking about? Greeks don't do big & long breakfast but they do have a cheese pie, spinach pie or sausage pie for a quick breakfast.
Modern Greeks do not eat breakfast because they eat dinner late at night...
However, if we go back 1-2 generations when Greeks actually got up early in the morning and worked hard physical labor jobs, this is the kind of breakfast they ate. I still do eat this kind of breakfast, and it is the biggest meal of my day, my lunch is smaller, and my dinner is the smallest meal of the day that I eat around 6 in the evening. Of course, I live in rural Greece and work very hard with my hands, all day. City folks are different...
@@tomlee7956 Precisely, my grandfather who worked in the fields to care for our olive trees from 6 a.m would eat a huge breakfast every day. My granny would pack lunch for him too AND he would eat again at around 2 p.m and then at 8 p.m. I don't personally see the point in eating a big breakfast unless one is doing manual labour, or is going to travel. Something light is fine, like a cheese/spinach pie or something like that. Coffee is a must, though! 😂
We don’t usually cook all that for breakfast, but for lunch along with greek salad. A more common breakfast is tyropita (or spanakopita, kotopita, flogera etc. - phyllo-made pastries with any kind of filling) as well as bougatsa and koulouri (simit).
If they haven’t tried any of these, consider it for another episode
I agree with Raja. Here in Greece eat a slice of bread with jam or honey and butter. Drink a cup of coffee and orange juice.
As an Englishman, the phrase "why couldn't you serve with two breads and a cup of tea" really speak to me.
Greeks always eat with bread on the side.
Because we are Greek Dear, if we do as you say, it will be the same as your nationality
"These potatoes are naughty!" made me laugh so much!
Ditto me. ☺️
Ruqaiya is such a good addition to the guys. She seems so sweet and genuine, just like the fellows. If the villages have such people we need more of them in this world.
Your channel brings me so much joy. The gratutude you all have is contagious! Thank you.
Love these wonderful people! God bless them all.
Scrambled eggs with feta cheese is so good ❤
Have they tried Gyros yet? (Pronounced year-o's) That would be a good one. Or Greek.... Saganaki-Seared kasseri cheese, served with a lemon wedge and pita bread. is a good Greek dish. Also Mousaka-Eggplant, zucchini, potato and homemade ground beef sauce layered and topped with bechamel cream sauce and sprinkled with parmesan cheese and baked in the oven. Served with pita bread and choice of soup or tossed salad. Hummus - preferably the garlic Hummus served w/ Pita Bread. Grecian Chicken or Chicken Lemonato, also Greek Lemon Chicken Soup.
Saganaki is my favorite! I used to live only 2 blocks from a place that made it, and that was way too much temptation!
I want them to try thiiiiss
Yes, but not for breakfast......
Year-o's?? what the actual f
I'd also suggest Greek salad -- lettuce, cucumber, tomato, dill, feta, often with pickled pepperoncini pepper and occasionally black olives as garnish, Greek salad dressing -- and avogolemono soup -- Greek egg and lemon (and rice) soup, often also with small bits of chicken/carrot/onion from the making of ghe chicken broth used ad a base for this soup. One of the world's great soups, in my opinion.😋
i am greek and i've never had this as breakfast
That is understandable since whomever did the research for this dish is way off.
It appears that they are trying to re-create strapatsada - but that dish uses scrambled eggs

I'd adore more of these stars sharing their favorite foods with us, even consuming and showing how they consume.
"Even the double quantity can never be the substitute to our Punjabi breakfast" makes me curious!
Seeing your videos brings a smile to my depressed mind. It's like sunshine on the earth. Thank you.
Keep smiling and laughing it helps a little rather it helps a lot
I hope your depression soon disappears and is replaced with happiness and peace my friend ❤
Also se if you can get some omega 3 fatty acids into your system, it generally helps
Your gut may be lacking good bacteria which is necessary for mental health (for real, your gut has everything to do with your brain). Take fulvic/humic acid (full of trace minerals) and prebiotics with probiotics daily. Also take a good multivitamin especially B vitamins. God bless you.
I wish you happiness and joy. I truly understand how you feel and hope you feel that invigorating white light more and more. All the best 😔.
I'm Greek, and I can tell you that the typical Greek breakfast is coffee and cigarettes.
Great pick for these folks, well done. Adding Feta to it makes it really yummy. I am still surprised the size of bites that Chaudhary takes.
I've only recently stumbled upon this channel and it has become my daily source of joy and laughter. These ladies and gentlemen are so humble, grateful and humorous, I just love all of them. Please, keep the videos coming, you are doing a service to all of us Westerners who take too much for granted, you are a breath of fresh air in these times of adversity all over the world. Peace and love for all of you! Respect!!!!!❤❤❤
15 years in Greece and this is the first time I've seen this "Greek Breakfast".
I agree with Rana, needs toast and tea or coffee. It's similar to an American breakfast, eggs and hash browns, though I would be using cheddar and season with Tabasco sauce and ketchup for the potatoes.Oregano is one of my favorite herbs.
then it would not be a Greek dish. Yeah yeah, americans. yadi yah
Would you show us a Punjabi breakfast? We would love to see your foods as well!
These potatoes are Naughty! This is why I watch this show
Should be served with Greek pita bread like naan
And coffee. And honey.
I'd love the eggs and potatoes with feta in a pita, and a pot of tea.
Sir Tahir should write stories...I remember the one about the potaotes and tomatoes arresting each other. Hilarious!!
Some pita bread, coffee and honey would have been appropriate.
Namaste from a greek ❤️ this dish is more a brunch or lunch/dinner dish, not breakfast. But I love it and I would eat it any time. You guys are so cute, I enjoyed watching you appreciate a nice meal!
I love how much more warm and supportive the comments are here compared to Facebook.
Just give Chaudhary a container of chocolate frosting and a spoon. lol
🤣👍
Nutella and a spoon.
Try Egyptian food next please love your channel
I love your channel! I love seeing them progress and their palettes grow! I love how they eat so naturally with a fork and knife now! Its truly amazing to witness this. Them entering the western world for the first time. Its wonderful.
It makes me laugh everytime they try a different breakfast dish. Because one of them always says that its too light compared to the punjabi breakfasts. But then they also admire the western work ethic and how we have energy to work but its cute how they never put it together that the heavy punjabi breakfast with the 2 rotis and tea might slow them down and make them tired hahaha.
Its not that we dont love big breakfasts, we just reserve them for the weekends because it slows you down for sure :)
But hey, the slow paced life with a grand breakfast is def amazing in its own right.
I love watching them all so much! They must be as celebrities now at home! As always I pray you all are very blessed in every way ❤
I love these videos. Such lovely and well-spoken people, and always sweetly humble before God.
I enjoy this happy, smiling and laughing in this and every video! Such a beautiful spirit!thumbs up! Please keep the videos coming with many more women! I am subscribed to the Tribal Women Try channel as well!
This lady is always beautiful every time❤......
Now they need to try sausage and gravy pot pies!! ❤
Wow, that sounds delicious 😊
So do i lol! That sounds awesome! Hope you are having a lovely weekend 💖🙏🕊
Give them a bit of roti! I am begging you 😂🙏🏻
I had to laugh when he said about the ants 🐜 sprinkled on his potatoes 🥔 ... referring to the Italian spice, "Oregano". 😂😂😂
You just used a Greek word "Oregano" and then referred to it as "Italian spice"
Oregano is Greek
Oregano emerged in southern Europe's temperate regions and is a traditional Mediterranean herb. It boasts its Greek origins in its name; oros means “mountain” and ganos means “brightness” or “joy”.
Gulsher Khan has a glorious mustache!!
I love all of these folks. They're so appreciative and conscientious at reviewing foods foreign to them. These videos are tremendous.
I really missed my brother Tahir, where is he?
OMG! That opening with the zoom in is hilarious!! Thanks for another entertaining video

Hello TPT team! Huge thanks for all you do and all your hard work making these amazing videos for us to watch! You are appreciated more than you know! Peace and love! :) 💗🍳
Whenever you give eggs that can be runny you should always give some bread with it to pickvit up and eat it with. Roti, or pita, or naan, or toasted sandwich bread. It's not nice to give runny or soft eggs without bread.❤
That's why you had a potato
@@garyflythe1362 idk about you but I don't like runny egg on my fried potato. Not even on hashbrowns.

So happy to have this channel. I watch them during lunch and I feel like I am eating with my brothers and sisters.
I’m so glad you brought the beautiful smiling lady back. Thank you!!!
I love them all. My absolute favourite channel. Blessings ❤
Disappointed that you didn't give them a side of buttered toast with the dish. You served runny eggs - even they said that their breakfast is served with roti/naan...they would have found the breakfast more filling as well. As cup of tea is also a major part of breakfast - even in Greek culture. Should have given them some to wash down the starchiness of the potatoes.
But overall, glad that they ALL enjoyed the breakfast.
Greeks hardly ever use butter, and 'toast' is normally in the form of rusks. Tea is not commonly used with milk, as we Westerners expect. It can often be herbal.
@@2eleven48 A slice of bread slightly drizzled in olive oil and a little oregano is the most Greek thing ever. (although this is not "traditional Greek breakfast", but if you wanted to eat a meal in the morning, that could fit this description.)
I always enjoy this reaction channel! I agree with them. Please give them some tea to drink with what the are dining on. I always worry they're going to accidently choke. Please always give them something to drink from now on? Thanks and all my best to everyone there. :D
Peace.
lol most Greeks skip breakfast and replace it with a cup of coffee. Later on, during a break from work, they might have a sandwich or something like that, from a nearby fast food place. And except for the feta cheese, this supposed to be "Greek breakfast", is the kind you would find in hotels anywhere in Europe. Anyway breakfast in Greece, even when is not skipped altogether, is by no means standardized. For instance, my "Greek breakfast" is usually two poached eggs, a few olives, a tomato and a good slice of whole wheat bread but others might eat toast with butter and marmelade or honey etc. French fries for breakfast however, are very unlikely.
I love all of these guys! And that lady was just amazing! She seems so nice and sweet!
My mouth's watering 😍
Half fried. We call that Sunny side up :)
.....also - as a long time breakfast cook - I can safely tell you that "sunny side up" is prepared as RAW egg yolk.
Over easy egg is one that has been flipped over once - just long enough to set the membrane covering the yolk
( basically, the yolk is still RAW after the flip - only slightly warmed )
Something known as "half-fried" would be cooked more like over medium.....and over hard would be fully cooked with a broken yolk.
@@urbanurchin5930 Sounds like the Tribal People like their eggs to bounce off of the plate :)
I'm Greek!! This is not our breakfast. You are wrong. This is just a food we eat for lunch or dinner.
Greek here also. Yes this is a quick lunch for us,and a Greek will never eat this dish without bread!!!
@@lenaannis8787 exactly with bread and very often a greek salad. Our breakfast possible is a cold coffee and a cheese pie on the go.
@@lenaannis8787and xoriatiki salad😊
You can also eat it in the morning though. We eat eggs in the morning...
depends, because for some, this is it!
As a Greek I can confirm that this is not a Greek breakfast. We usually eat eggs and chips for lunch.
Actually, the original Greek breakfast, is a big cup of Greek coffee and three cigarettes.
Apart from that, scrambled eggs with feta cheese and tomatoes, is also an original late breakfast, not with potatoes. Of course, one can add anything he likes.
Very simple breakfast from my childhood was toast with butter and cinnamon sugar on it. I’m suggesting we try this with them only because I saw a video once where they used cinnamon in a dessert and the people in the video were shocked because they never thought to use cinnamon in a dessert before. Not that toast is a dessert, but it’s makes the toast, sweet. Kids love it and even adults.
All is looking so healthy and bright! Shiny, happy people ✨️
Adorable people. Sweet video, it made me smile
In Greece this is mostly a quick fast launch! And obviously we have bread with it, to soak in the runny egg yolk!
I know that lady... isn't she with another tribal group. I do like her.
So happy to see Ruqaiya on! She is a lovely lady!
Dear people of this lovely channel, who told you our breakfast in Greece consists of eggs with potatoes and feta cheese??!
This food is lunch time. Quick lunch time on a busy day.
No way we fry potatoes for breakfast 😂
Our breakfast is mostly a pie
with filo pastry ; cheese pie, spinach pie, sausage pie, ham&cheese pie or other variations of pies.
We love pies in Greece 😂
When one of the men said they cook tomatoes and egg, that sounded more like Greek breakfast than this😅 still a wholesome video, i hope you’re all doing well❤
Maybe at Greek hotels serve breakfast like this. We usually drink coffee and eat kouluri or some tyropita later. This is when wife didn't know what to cook
Love this channel. You all are amazing
No human on earth can resist the pure joy of fried eggs, chips and feta! It's not a very usual breakfast in Greece though, more like the ultimate comfort food.
...often served with a fresh salad, or (cooked in the same pan) stewed tomatoes and grilled olives, or both; bread of course is served with any Greek meal.
...poutine comes to mind, from Quebec, with a smoked meat sandwich or montreal steame and spruce beer (non-alcoholic); another awesome meal.
cheers!
Ok. Now we have a Tribal cookbook. Now, can we buy Tribal spices ? I’m too excited! Thumbs up!
Yes, toast (or bread of your choice) is necessary to dip into the egg yolk. To the caption translator: You gave me quite a chuckle when you discussed "black aunts" and how "these aunts have great taste". "Ants" (note the spelling) are the tiny black crawling insects. "Aunts" (again, spelling) are the sisters of your father or mother. Example: You would call your mothers sister "Aunt Sue". The aunts may be tasty, but most of us will never know LMAO.
In North America, aunts are pronounced as ants. Or anties.
Chaudary , the look he gave and the " The long name upset me" or how he said it. Priceless, lol!
Give them chicken fried steak with gravy, two fried eggs, hash browns and some sourdough toast on the side with butter. They will love this American breakfast. Don't forget a cup of coffee to go with it all.
Love the way knife and fork was presentedm but they just turned them around lol
much love from Greece!
I love this channel! How many of the dishes that they have tried will be incorporated into their diet?
Nice sample that was of a "Greek breakfast". Now let me tell you my own version of greek breakfast. A large plate of fried potatoes, 3 fried large eggs seasoned with S&P, 2 grilled country sausages and 5,6 pieces of fried kefalotyri cheese (saganaki). We accompany this with a salad of sliced Mediterranean tomatoes with sliced cucumbers, extra virgin olive oil, oregano and salt. And let's not forget a quarter of a kilo real crispy traditional bread. Heaven! Mind you, this is NOT for daily consumption.
Noone eats fried potatoes in the morning. I am Greek and I have never seen or heard anything like this.
Traditional Greeks' breakfast may be
1. cup of milk with salt+ some burley rusk
2. Soft boiled Egg with bread and milk
3. Anthotiros,Graviera,Kefalotiri cheese, bread + hard boiled egg
plus a type of coffee or local herbs tea depending on the day/weather/health of the individual
I love how 2+ years ago you couldn't get them to use a fork or a knife, but NOW..... They use them at all times.......😅😅❤
Have they tried biscuits and gravy? Biscuits cut open with white sausage gravy poured over it. Many country restaurants serve this as a breakfast menu. Can be served with potatoes hash browns and scrambled shredded cheese in eggs. With coffee, with a little milk cream and sugar, to counter the bitter taste of coffee.
This meal is lunch for Greeks. We eat boiled eggs, bread with butter and honey, tea from herbs and coffee.
If that egg is runny (I’m not a fan) but most folks like to have toast to sop it up. I can’t imagine using a potato….
Yes they need flat bread or tortilla to put the egg, potatoes and feta in. Make it like a burrito 🌯
In America we call that a breakfast burrito. You should try them. Hashbrowns, scrambled egg, cheese, green onions, with a small amount of salsa and sour cream. 🏆🌯
Breakfast for Hellenes(Greeks) includs some exables like: greek coffee, spanakopita, hot or cold milk, marmelade, honey, crispy toast and rusk, mountain tea, trahana, koulouri, boiled eggs, tyropita, pizza, pligouri, fresh orange juice, kaseri, tahini, omelete, halva, small hot bread, bougatsa, etc... it depends of the preferences
They all loved it. ❤😊😊😊😊😊😊
Glad they liked it! Feta is really strong, and is an acquired taste.
Ha,haha, big surprise ,please next time coffe frappe or fredo capuccino coffe,.Greetings and love from Greece.
That was what my grandma would prepare for me when I was visiting to see her. It was never for breakfast though. Greeks (at least for the last 50 years) usually eat for breakfast bread with butter and jam, or corn-flakes and milk or orange juice or coffee.
This is definitely making me wanna put Oregono on my eggs. I gotta try it.😅
Excellent ❤
I love that one sentence she said that meant "s".
We do have fried potatoes in our breakfast,
They come in different ways, shredded, chips
Home fries, with eggs,ham sausage,bacon.
I am Greek, we have cigarette for breakfast and coffee
Never got the taste for feta, cant trust a cheese that doesn't really melt!
Ok take metallic or glay plate called "shaganaki", 2 slices of tomato put on them few rings of banana pepper (and hot green pepper if u like ) a fat slice of feta on top close it with aluminium foil (airly not to touch the food) couple of minutes in the microwave, open it, pure some xtra virgin olive oil, rigano, maybe pepper if want, eat it with baked bread or pita (the gyros one). This is the way to be introduced to feta, AND it melts, not like yellow cheese but in the mouth. And life is good again.
