“It’s hot here today, it’s 28 degrees…”
Dji made the best action camera.... GoPro is finished it has too many problems, It's time for GoPro to really think do far better just to be in the game: Key points... System Hang, Battery Problems, Distortion Problems, And Low Light Performance are the major to fixed.
Overheating for me is the major
@@ramaoh2o ah yes how did i forget that Go Pro overheats too much.
@@splashingrahul He literally said in the video that the action 4 overheated and the GoPro didn't...
@@andrej3073 That's must be a joke... because I have both and action 4 never overheated, and overheating was the major issue that's why I switched to DJI After I watched so many videos on CZcams.
I am definitely moving in the DJI direction - thanks for a great presentation. GoPro's images seem to have a persistent red cast to them, not sure if this is just my monitor or color grading, or the camera... but consistently noticeable.
A very good and detailed comparison. I’m going with DJI (…but I will wait till the Action 5 comes out - hopefully in September from what I’ve read…)
DJI Action 4 low light performance just wow me
Yes, I wish GoPro had given us a better low light sensor. It does edge out Dji in daylight though, I my opinion
Thanks for putting together a no frills non-goofy concise respectable comparison. I'll be adding the Action 4 to my gear for filming my channel content!I've used gopros before and found them to be very expensive given significant drawbacks (needing dive case, short battery life, tiny screen).
Subscribed.
…and I always have issues transferring videos from both my GoPros to my phone or computer
the number one thing? OVERHEATING.
Gopro grossly fails compared to DJI.
I have both and while both have pros and cons.... The DJI is far superior in not overheating. Don't get me wrong, it will overheat, but is far better than Gopro.
I have both of them right now and yes dji at night is the best camera but at day time if you don’t go and fix your video on the computer it’s way worse than GoPro on their standard colors
With all the respect, coming completely non biased, I found GoPro much more detailed, sharp and less overexposed than in DJI camera. It made me completely confused hearing what you say in your video.
Hi Mark, great video. I would prefer the natural image look of DJI compared to the yellow touch of GoPro. I guess this would be most obvious by using the footage directly out of the cam and might be no longer valid if colorer grading is applied. I saw that you are using the Osmo Action Mini Extension Rod. Could you please let me know the feasibility to unscrew the Ball-joint and if a 1/4" screw remains for more versatile use of this Mini Tripod.
I am curious about the overheating as i saw another video comparing the two on overheating and the action 4 did very very well. Its odd that it didnt do well here
yeah, concerned about that too. i'd rather have lower quality footage than my camera unexpectedly turning off in the midst of action.
Wow the Action 4 looks so much more natural! I love it
Hi Mark, great video, keep up the good work. I deliberated for ages between these two cameras, and despite being a lover of all things DJI I was seduced by the 27MP stills and went for the GoPro. I have to say I've been pretty disappointed with the quality, as you point out in this video, the low light performance of the GoPro is awful, with everything turning to 'mush'. It's really only any good in bright, daylight conditions, which is far from ideal. I watched quite a few videos prior to purchase and no one points this out, so well done for bringing it to people's attention. The colour balance, as you mention, is far too much on the warm side, and trying to then balance the colour in post with my MM3 Pro footage proves a real headache. Quite galling then to see just how good the performance of the DJI Action is in low light, and a far more natural colour balance. Knew I should've listened to the DJI voices in my head!
Both are good camera and GoPro seem to look warmer in color than the action 4
An incredibly useful side by side comparison.
I like DJI osmo 4 for long battery life perfomance and low light footage...
Thank you, Mark, for your consistently brilliant videos. And don't stop bringing your lovely wife into the videos as well. You seem like a happy couple.
8:30 Bro what kind of camera are you using to record the quality is super sharp and crisp! I have the sony a7C with 55mm lens but you my friemd i like your camera better. Some say it could be thr lighting. But anyways can you tell me what you're using
I tested them both...
Actually GoPro better in its job..
This is a camera and the main thing is the pictures & the videos everything else can man fix except the quality of the videos/pictures that thing never can be fixed if the camera itself has no good quality.. I mean megapixel..
GoPro 27MP
Action 4 /10MP
Big deference really big deference not in the numbers only... It's when you look at the videos on a big screen... Its clear winning GoPro.
Mine is GoPro 11
Action 4 good in
Batteriy life
Speed charging
Smaller
Two touch screen (not worth)
Accessories
But what is the benefits of all of that if your main thing(Pictures/videos) of the camera is not that good enough specially when you look at the price.
I love the color of the go pro in video mode... no need to edit.. but in photo I think the dji action 4 wins...
If a video says PAID PROMOTION. Is it one camera company paying for it? Or both? Wouldn't reviewers lean towards the one paying them lol?
Thank you! Very comprehensive video. It helped me make my choice.
What did you decide ?
This video helped me swing towards the GoPro. Thanks!
I think im going for dji, suits what i need, thank much
Which camera 📸 and lenses did you use for this entire shot? 😮
Wish you compare with Go pro 12
It is quite the same as the 11. Though the UI is much better and battery lasts more thanks to dumping GPS. The Lens Mod 2.0 really opens up possibilites too. I would get the Dji for its low light performance and GoPro for daylight and slo mo
Very honest comparison.
Gopro has better details and better slomo. but too bad the colour is more to orange. dji would be more accurate to real life colour i think.
For flying drones the size and weight is the only thing keeping me on Gopros
all this to compare when go pro is at the hero 12 and you compare to the hero 11? why??
I'm close to getting the DJI mic but to attach on my GoPro Hero 11 as i'm too invested in the GoPro ecosystem already. Anyone else using a similar setup to capture better audio?
So why does the go pro look more colourful, and have better exposure, and noticeably much more defined details in that Cliff, close up?😮
😮🤫
Hola, saludos desde España,estoy en dudas no se si comprar la dji osmo 3 o pasar directamente a la 4 o comprar la gopro11 sería para viajes con mi familia, cual me recomiendas, gracias
I’m the only person on the planet who looks at the overall images from a GoPro and gets BLOWN AWAY! The warmth the color crispness and the gorgeous contrast in every image is just incredible in my opinion. For me, YES, the action 4 was great but as much as I like the action 4 I sincerely don’t feel nearly as impressed with the frames and color payoff as I do with the quality I see from the Go pro footage.
Agreed. However, in this video he chose the flat color profile on the GoPro. So it's supposed to be more muted in color for post processing. So with the colors still saturated (which still looks absolutely amazing IMO) It is counter productive if you want to add your own artistic flair compared to the Action 4.
Hey great video, May I ask what editing software did you use? thanks!
action 4 did not win in some category but in all of them. what a masterpeice
What exact settings are you using for low light filming?
First mention of overheating....nope
great great review
bought the action 4 today xD good review.
This review comes across incredibly biased, specially with the DJI purchase link in the description and nothing for the GoPro. I tend to lean toward Dji, but a lot of things in this video I completely disagree with and would absolutely favour gopro in those instances. Hard to trust reviews like this when they seem very likely to be sponsored by one of the parties.
The DJI Action 4 does not have a burst mode.
Great video, I enjoyed seeing comparisons. I like the GoPro.
i got my action today
La Gopro tiene graduación de color podias aver anivelado un poquito el color
Mark, I have to question the honesty of the review, it seems extremely biased. In the first section out on the boats the gopro image was much clearer and colorful. I haven't finished the video yet, I paused to check the price of dive case for action 4. It is double the price of the gopro dive case. Interesting how you never mentioned the case for action 4 at all.. I was leaning toward the direction of action 4 before this video, now I'm questioning.
edit: overheating in 80 degrees is wild!
Am already team dji....use the OA3..... have the hero 5 too... its still shoots continiously better than the 11... 😂
Go pro all day babyyy
Даже невооружённым глазом видно, что чел снимает на GoPro с неправильным балансом белого - там явный перекос в сторону жёлтого цвета, особенно ночью
I love your videos but your opinion is biased… clearly DJI sent you the OA4… also GoPro have sold over 40million cameras or had done by 2020 and that means DJI have a long way to go to beat their action camera rival :)
GoPro was certainly better in daylight, which he never mentioned. Dji was astounding in low light.
Looks like for me GOPRO still looks great. Unless there's a significant price gap, GOPRO is still better. DJI images looks slightly over-saturated.
Also, I prefer we have choices than to "kill" a brand.
Dji action 4 image resolution and color looks so natural to me and I think the image resolution of GoPro is too bright.
The GoPro daylight and slo mo did look better than Dji to me as well.
GOPRO 12 399 DJI 299- DJI IT IS
Is this a paid promotion from DJI? Yes or no? And if yes, then this should be clearly stated at the beginning of the video. ANY action camera is only as good as the quality of customer service you will receive when the camera goes wrong
No GPS!
Overheating Test !
Smells like someone's getting paid for their opinion
I wanted to like not one over the other ..... BUT the GOPRO was sharper in each of the examples !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Those shots on the boat show where GoPro excels. Crisp video while the Dji footage looked muddy. Meanwhile, Dji destroys GoPro in low light.
Take a look at 15:57 and you will see that DJI is cropping much more than GOPRO. I am debating between 11 and OA4 but I replaced my original osmo action with gopro 8 just because of this reason. I do mountain biking and attaching the camera to chest mount. When DJI is mounted it crops so much more from the view with Rocksteady that I had to film in 4:3 and then stretch the image to 16.9. Not a problem with GOPRO. They need to release the FOV angles with all the resolutions and Rocksteady on or rocksteady+. I don't use Hypersmooth boost, I just use ON and the image is perfect stabilized on GOPRO. With all the features I can't see myself changing if the FOV is getting so narrow with rocksteady.
GoPro is far batter in your videos
As someone said on another channel - DJI is good during the day and OK at night. Gopro is great during the day but terrible at night. Choose based on your usage. For me personally if i need low light shooting then neither offers a genuinely useable image of any quality so it's GoPro for me because it simply looks much better in daylight
This shit is sponserd
חברה שבאו מתומר לכאן😂✌🏻
DJI action 4 is far better than Gopro 12
Everything seems better on the DJI apart from the image quality. The GoPro just looks better to me but for user interface, the Dji wins
Gopro is over sharpened too much
@@rudydoyleThat can be adjusted in settings
Hey Mark - great side-by-side comparison. One thing I found however is that comparing some of the 4k-120fps side by side footage the GoPro seems to have a better lit image, while the Osmo seems somewhat underexposed. Your thoughts?
Each camera has its own capabilities that you exceed the other. For me, the GoPro is the winner, plus it is an American company. I also own the Insta360 X3 and Dji drones
Affiliate link only for DJI lol.
DJI is good the drones are great but a go pro killer? NOT A CHANCE
Everything will change when Go pro Release an 8K camera @ 60fps
then holy hell lol
GoPro . 🇺🇸 company
