WDW Splash Mountain 1992 Ride-Through

- Over the past few years, thanks to the retheme announcement, Splash Mountain in WDW has slowly been falling in decay, and it’s rather sad to see. I wanted to relive the glory days of Splash with this video, back when the attraction was brand new and incredible to see! This isn’t a full on POV, it’s more like a little lookback to the original animatronics. I hope you enjoy, I had fun trying to find footage for this! Have a Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah day!

Can’t believe they’re shutting this masterpiece down 💔
R.I.P. to Splash Mountain at Disneyland (1989 - 2023) and Walt Disney World (1992 - 2023).
I just watched a ride through of TBA and watched this and I almost started to tear up on what a truly exciting, fun and hilarious attraction this was. TBA is honestly a travesty. Disney has managed to destroyed many things, but this one is the nail in the coffin for me.
Last night i ended my 2 day trip to get my last rides on splash at dl and I got 17 rides in total. Love your videos!

Disney says the ride is “problematic” name one part of the ride that is. “Folks hereabout say Brer Rabbit’s leaven’ home. I say he’s moving along.”
When will Disney ever learn its lesson
It’s sad to see this ride go, as it’s much loved, but I have to say that this video makes me understand…it’s time. The ride itself is a shadow of its former glory. Many of the animatronics no longer gesticulate like they once did and most of the water features in the “splashing room” no longer work! Honestly if it needs this much of an overhaul to fix it maybe better to retheme to a more modern movie that kids will actually recognize anyway.
They could have been refurbished and for alot less than the $100m that they used to convert it into the TBA abomination.

Well it happened! Chapek is fired
But still a closure date has yet to be confirmed for this ride
I think they are not gonna get rid of it
lol this wasn’t Chapeks direction, this was Iger’s long before Chapek took the helm
Destroying this masterpiece was a colossal mistake. What we got in its place is a total downgrade. Tiana and Splash deserved better.
