Let me know what you think of this synth! Do you love it? hate it? Agree or disagree with anything i've said? Let me know down in the comments section and have a fantastic day! :) - Hudba
Awesome video!
am thinking about getting a korg ms 20 mini so i can join it up with my grandmother Moog
Greets. Just ordered one of these from Sweetwater. They're near me, because I'm just outside of Detroit, so I should be getting it early next week. Can't wait to play with it. You did a real good job on this video, thanks!
thats an awesome synth!!hope you enjoy it!
Beautiful !!!
About the included patchbook. It's actually a reprint of the original one. They have a PDF on their website for a patchbook with more modern sounds.
Enjoyed the video, shows very well that you can get great sounds from a cheaper analogue synth, time to use mine again I think.......
The Minilogue has VCOs not DCOs :P It's fully analog as well (except for the LFOs I think, and the fact that it is digitally controlled in order to store presets)
But interestingly doesn't sound as warm as this, it can but it takes effort, not sure why that is but good synth anyway.
Dco's are analogue , it stands for digitally controlled oscillators , which does not mean digitaly generated
DCO osc's are clocked to a digital counter , but the osc's are still analog .
The juno 106 also has dco , dave smith also etc....
If we're talking about pure digital osc's we just say , dsp osc's
So Summary
dco =analog but digitally controlled ( frequency clock )
vc0= analogu but analogue controlled
got it?
@@WARDISWARD So in DCOs, the digital controlling is just there to ensure frequency is constant without depending on temperature or other factors? But then the sound is generated by an analog circuit?

More or less , yes
Lot's of info to be found on the web

Here's some good info

Hi Tom. Would you consider making a 1975 instrumental cover on this synth player?
6:30 Duophonic doesn't mean, that you can hear two different pitched sounds at the same time, but that you can play one note independently from the other and this needs a keyboard that is able to send two independent control voltages at the same time. But it's a nice vid! en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Polyphony_and_monophony_in_instruments#Duophonic
Lol , he's even proud of the aqua album
Seriously
Greetings Tom, located to the left of you/right of the viewer, a MicroKorg is spotted.
What do you think of the MicroKorg and would you recommend it?
What do I plug it into to get sound?
Hi Tom, do you still have it? How’s doing? Trying to decide from this or the Behringer Poly D.
I'm having the same dilemma
I had absolutely zero interest in synthesizers, but found this video thoroughly enjoyable and very enlightening. That's an amazing little box you have there; the reverb box is pretty amazing as well.
I also appreciate your positive mental attitude.
Cheers.
Paul in AZ I feel the same as you. No interest in synths, but his enthusiasm draws you in and makes it very enjoyable to listen to him talk about something he's passionate about.
Dose it come with patch cables and any other cables
I would buy this ,but I haven't money.😢
I wonder do you hear a hiss noise with ms 20?
Well shite, you're right about the white variant.
Nice #record #collection
I am absolutely with you about the white version. It is horrendous.
Thanks for the video. Please ignore the trolls that just show up, attack you and spew vitriol like Satan’s little helpers. They act like insecure, 8th grade boys.
I used to have an MS20 when I was in college that I bought used. Then the guy I bought it from begged to buy it back. I needed tuition money so I sold it to him. I always wish I kept it. It had a certain purity of tone. I am considering buying a new one to replace it.
Can you you run the audio out, then into a guitar pedal, then back into the filter?
Aqua album cover on the background.. hmm.. i don’t know if i can trust you anymore..
4:18 cue ear rape
Too much talking,,,,
the old one souns better
That's why it costs gazillion dollars more than mini.
literally same circuitry what
@@yorkthepork4276 Nope, some people think that it sounds better because it is old, but it isn't (it's all in the mind). The 1978 version is just a collectors item these days, nothing less nothing more.
how about "re-using stuff from previously opened boxes"... privilege-flaunter
