This is one of the most nostalgic idents in the logo community!

Thanks for uploading this, I'd love to see old ABC promos/idents from the 60s
00:00-00:30 Speaking of that Ross Symonds used to be newsreader for The ABC (ABN2) in Sydney until he left for Channel Seven in January 1981, and Mike Bailey was cadet reporter before leaving for ATN7 in 1972.
So much wonderful memories
These are beautiful.
Thankyou Thankyou! Thankyou! I'm obsessed
It would be cool if they re-made some of these, using the same landmarks (if they still exist)!
Please do one on all the legendary “it’s your abc” series. They were so cool and unique.
This is a rare collection of main ABC TV transmitter idents. Since the Sydney Opera House was still being constructed, these idents were most likely produced sometime in 1972.
Anybody remember the jet aircraft clip with funky soundtrack, the ABC used between programs in the early 1970's?
Wow!
Love the old W Class Melbourne trams
The days of “The Look To Look Forward To”.
Didn't they do one for ABAD7 (Alice Springs) when it launched in December 1972 as well as ABD6 (Darwin, northern gateway to the Nation) when it launched in 1971.
ABC, I'm hoping you do all the idents from 1988 to 1996! They would've been so relaxing to watch!
(I am Australian too, btw)
abc tv australia is seen to be educational and cultural television like channel eleven ipn from mexico and channel 22 of the secretary of culture of mexico as well as bbc from london england, rai from italy, tfi from france, tve from spain , nhk from Japan and dw from Germany and the music for their bumpers sounds fantastic
Are you gonna upload idents from the 80s and 90s and early 2000s?
I would love that please
thank you
There was a fill in on the ABC in the early 80s that showed Australian country side, waterfalls with the Meco disco version of Star Wars. Has anyone seen that on CZcams?
Was AKW6 Kalgoorlie the only station not to have an "AB" prefix?
It's a typo. Should be ABKW 😊
Is that tune "A Taste of Honey" by Herb Alpert?
Mike Bailey didn't he rejoin ABC back in 1983??
Soundtrack here is varieties of "A Shade of Brass" by Bobby Byrne
