The owl....is asking ...for you to collect feathers. The owl. If only there was some kind of...bird nearby that had feathers. If only.
That would have been really helpful. Maybe some freaky nocturnal bird that can turn it's head way round, too.

I don't blame him though, most of the characters were pretentious, highly judgmental, and annoying, plus they only wanted to use you and unfairly compensate you, if at all. There were also numerous stupid rules you *have* to follow. The game isn't about calm environment and drawing, those are just two things that can be found in it, the core of the game is about feeling like a sucker of an errand boy for a bunch of spoiled entitled philosophers that couldn't actually build or even maintain the village they unrealistically live in.🙄😅

well that is true. dreams to shape the world so that all are just are mere thoughts in your head. they say dreamers rule the world but i'm pretty sure there not everyone who had dreamed of becoming a billionaire has. you don't see inspiring stories of a man who lost 300 pounds, you see the stories of people who actually did that. The world isn't changed by dreamers, its changed by doers.

@Brandon Sutton It's simply a joke about the gradual degradation of bethesda and The Elder Scrolls as a whole. The game itself actually seems like a good game, even one I might play, but it is fun to make fun of things.

Here's something I find really hilarious about this video.
Eastshade is about relaxing, enjoying the sights, and escaping the chaos of real life.
The funny part is that relaxation and ease are the absolute bane of Josh's existence, so he softlocked himself with his own need for chaos XD

It's scary how much effort was done, to create such a well crafted world without any real gameplay
Exploration is gameplay. I actually played this before I saw this video. I found it quite fun to not have the stress of combat and stuff but still reason to explore. I mean, I still go play Skyrim over this, but it was certainly charming enough.
There are more lands, towns, and situations... many hidden quests and the zip lines DO work. Look at some other 'how-to' videos, the game is quite long and involved. Loved this first look though, very entertaining!

After the 10-minute mark I realized: this game is for people who'd literally like nothing better than to roam around peacefully and just be polite to everybody while they explore for no reason other than gaining inspiration to do artwork.

Its just a game for you to chill out with. You need to make money to progress, but no pressure. You interact with the villagers, and you just take in the scenery. This sounds like a cute little game.
I bet Ehsan is just like a grumpy villager, can be really abrupt in the beginning, but turns into a sweet heart after building friendship
I played this game back when it originally came out (as well as the prequel). It's AMAZING.

I can’t believe I haven’t seen this LGIO gem after months of watching this channel. I feel like the snarky side of Josh’s humor really shines here as he proceeds to kick over the metaphorical sand castle of this game. And it’s great.

I feel like being banished to Eastshade is Josh's punishment for what he did in all those other games.
I loved this game, and I was so happy to see Josh getting snarky with the calm setting.

This is probably the only game that he was honestly unable to break into submission. So he discovered that he could fail. I'm surprised that he couldn't find anyone to sell the paintings to, though.

You have opened up possibilities in Eastshade I had never imagined. I want more. I especially want to see what you make of the dream teas and magic mushrooms. I painted all the cats. This game has a lot of cats. No, but seriously, wait till you try to teas.

Questions: Was the creator of the game beaten by their parents? Are they trying to use the game to educate about abuse? Was their dream to be a painter? So many questions.
This game feels like a generic Medieval RPG that the developers got cold feet about at the last minute, so they just slapped horrifying animal heads on all the characters to make it look more unique.
Ooooor... hear me out... they had no INSPIRATION to make faces, and they decided it was easier to hide it, with animal faces instead of human one.

The best part about this game is listening to Josh's soul slowly devour itself.
This is one of my favorite games ever. I love watching you running into all the things that they put in on purpose to force people with no patience to give up, and getting super frustrated at them. Honestly probably not the best fit for this channel but you make it work.
Sure does take a lot of inspiration to paint an exact copy of what you're looking at.
Funny story, I actually have a cousin that makes portraits of chickens and sells them. They actually make a good amount of money from it.

Alright, the level design could use some serious work with all the shoddily placed invisible walls but the writing seems amazing and the game looks beautiful.
As a lover of this game: I can say without any issue, it certainly has it's drawbacks. The invisible wall placement and water being too deep in a tiny stream are a bit bothersome, and unfortunately interaction with other NPC's don't really evolve much beyond your first encounter; it would be nice for different conversations to pop up, and for the NPC's to move around at different times of the day. But despite those lacking features, without a doubt this game is charming, enjoyable, and very relaxing
@@cgillis3989 totally agree. I think once you actually play the game, you fall in love with it and are willing to forgive a lot of technical issues. It's something you can't analyze and poke holes in, you just have to explore and enjoy it for yourself.
