      Did it help? I have the same codes on my scion tC. Started with p0011 then p0016 and now p0010. Cleaned the solenoid and it didn’t help, tested power and the solenoid and all was good. I’m in the process of changing my crank sensor now. I’m at a loss for what it could be. At times it drives fine, but a lot of the time there’s late shifting and a drone/rattle noise and engine bogging. I’ve asked mechanic friends and they aren’t sure either. Shit sucks haha

    • @AutomotiveDiagnosis

      @@Omgjosh925 these codes are referring to the intake camshaft and timing. If you have tested the intake VVT solenoid valve and you are sure that there is nothing wrong with that, next step could be the intake cam sensor.

      @@Omgjosh925 I replaced both VVT solenoids, and it now runs like a new car, so it must have been one or both of them. I noticed there was a heavy dent in the gauze filter of the exhaust one, which was possibly the cause of the intermittent behaviour, especially after putting the car under load.

      Hi my friend.
      There are a couple of other possibilities for this case:
      - If that engine has dual VVT, please make sure that you have checked/replaced the bank 1 “intake” VVT solenoid
      - You don’t need to replace the crankshaft sensor for now, but you might need to focus on the VVT itself or bank 1 Intake camshaft tone wheel which is located at the end of the camshaft to trigger the signal on camshaft sensor.
      - I don’t have that model of Infiniti right now to double check, but please make sure that there is no separate filter for VVT solenoid on the engine, if there is, it must be removed and cleaned.

      @AutomotiveDiagnosis  Před rokem

      Everything explained in this video is applicable to that car too, but generally you can start by checking the engine oil, then CVVT oil control valve (Solenoid). It could be timing chain problem as well but it's much better to check the solenoid before the timing chain as it happens a lot and it is not costly.
      You haven't had any repair on the engine recently that it needed the timing chain or head removal?

    Good afternoon friend!
    I have a 2011 GMC Terrain SLT. A few days ago I changed the timing chain and tensioner kit. The next day that they delivered it to me, the engine began to die at 0 revolutions while I was at a red light or slowly passing a curb, the engine died and I had to start up again to start my machine. The code that the scanner gives me is P0011: Camshaft Synchronization Fault. Excessive advance on bench 1. Camshaft position. What is the error code P0011 friend?

    • @AutomotiveDiagnosis
      @AutomotiveDiagnosis  Před 2 lety +2

      Hi there,
      So you didn’t have this code before changing the timing chain?
      At the first place check the intake VVT solenoid connector, sometimes they forget to check the connectors after the repair. It also could be for the timing misalignment as it started happening right after the repair.

    • @masteru549
      @masteru549 Před 2 lety +1

      @@AutomotiveDiagnosis I already had the P0011 code before changing the chains and timing tensioner. But my engine wouldn't shut off when I was parked at a red light or going over a curb. Engine started to die at 0 revs in parked but running situations after timing chains and timing tensioner were changed. Right after that change of chains and tensioner, my engine is dying while it is static. But the truth is that that code P0011 already appeared to me long before I changed chains and my friend's time tensioner. Why is my engine dying when I am parked at a red light or when a friend passes slowly?
