I picked one up on release day and it is fun! The tire squeal when powersliding on concrete is magical!
Order part 10234 for the front shocks. It’s the extension they use on the rears. It levels the truck out and gives you your travel back. It also handles far better and doesn’t tip anywhere as easy. My chassis was constantly digging in and slapping under any jumps or braking.
Update…I installed the part above and adjusted the shocks. Fixed my jumper that was causing an issue. Got it running stable and now it rolls way less and lands far better. Got this thing running really good now. Tsm almost completely off. I’m having a lot of fun with this thing now. And has proven to be quite durable. Only broke the back bumper wrecking as a 55mph cartwheel that launched itself like a gymnast. Zip tie fix.
Scale Bashers Guild sounds pretty awesome. I think I would probably buy a Mojave 6s before this.
Definitely. Although a more scale vehicle would better suit the Scale Bashers Guild channel. Like that big rock or actually the new 1/5 redcat. Idk if these are good RCs though.

I felt the same when going from a losi baja rey 3s❤ to the arrma mojave 6s . Did not like it at all, but kept trying it out and learned better how to handle the power N mass. Now I Love that mojave platform so much that I'm building two more customs❤

Nice demo! I'm not a Traxxas fan, but I see the appeal for those who are. Have you considered a camera clip mount for your radio, so you don't have to hold the stick and one hand drive? I like the clamp style so I can use whatever radio on the fly. I can't drive much better with 2 hands, but it helped my recording a lot

I just bought one and I love it. My only gripe is that the chassis collects a lot of debris. It's a good thing I bought an air compressor to blow it out in between runs
Grab some fine steel mesh from the hardware store and make a shroud, I did that with my 1/10 slash and it worked nicely
A proper1/ 10 stadium truck would be ideal. I'm going to build my Axial A arm like a slash soild axial in the rear.
I am going to wait for them to release a rally version.

Matt, you are getting good with the basher genre. I do like the Maxx Slash. About the only RC short course truck that will sail through air is the techno. Wondering if cutting rectangles on top of the front fenders like on the ARRMA Vendetta perhaps some venting of the windows too. I do not own a techno so I can't see what they have done different with the SCT410 so sure it's not perfect but better on the races I have watched. Maybe they just rolled the windows down.😂
Would love to see a rally body on this truck, anybody knows if there is one what would fit?

That truck looks like a blast to drive, and a handful to try and film while driving.
I want one. But, I think I'm going to wait until the hype wears off and the aftermarket catches up with upgrades before I pull the trigger, by then all the weak points will have been figured out and fixed.
Not bad one handed! Yep, it needs two hands.. I like my 1/10 slash RWD.. No doubt it looks to handle and perform very well - but at this size I’ve steered away from the large bashers - to expensive to run because the throttle is non proportional with these😂
Sooo I’ll stick to my UDR - it’s demanding and need care to stay upright - but when driven at the right place it’s extremely satisfying and challenging to drive and on top it’s suspension system is a beauty to watch in action 😎

they ship them with the springs loose when you tighten the springs and bring it up some it just rolls over so easy the servo save has zero tension the wheels wander so they ship it slammed to the ground so it wont flip

It’s a great truck, I beat 10th scale trucks on a dirt short course track on 4s, 6s is way more fun. Keep an eye on the screw pins because they do back out and fall off, as well as the glue on the tires from factory unfortunately. Oh, swap the tires for the belted sledgehammers for off-roading.

It’s pretty cool and for the price it’s hardly any more than a slash vxl the front shocks definitely look like it could use a bit firmer spring rate I’ll pass on this one tho I’m still rocking the losi Baja Rey I had the old version and converted it to the 2.0 it’s also a lot of fun

why did you drive it dragging the ground? Did traxxas tell you to leave it like that because the second you tighten it up it will roll over like an egg? You never mentioned the tires hit the body, how much dirt it collects the servo saver is pathetic has zero tension and its to weak for the job how the rear end launches over the front on jumps, you had nothing negative that amazing

I have one. I can honestly say that I don’t like it. I’d like to 10 scale better. It’s too heavy, and reminds me of the X max. The bigger they are the harder than crash. It’s not as nimble. It has too much mass. It’s just another oversize radio control car that does not keep up with its smaller ones 10 scale/. By myself do not not recommend this.

After seeing all the negative reviews I thought I made a mistake but if you drive the truck for what it is and change the tires you won't be disappointed main problem is the tires
Funny. I’ve felt this way for years. I own an X Maxx and it’s cool but 1/10 to 1/8 is my favorite. The Mojave 4s is better. Less power hungry. Nearly as fast. My X Maxx is the only really large scale I’ll own. I drive the Maxx v2 and Kraton 4s way more

Traxxas nails the look. Every other stadium truck looks a little off to me. The 4s Slash is a lot to handle. Especially on a course, but they are so worth it. 6s? Too much for me. Great video!

This thing is a heavy ass slapping disaster. Not enough suspension for the weight and has no air control and handles poorly
Stop saying clip less it's a hidden clip system which is why it clips on. Everyone is kissing Traxxas and strangely making excuses for how poorly it drives.

I have to say I agree... I'm getting surprised that these flaws are getting overlooked in these review and run videos. The sound of the vehicle sounds a little bad it seems to my ears. Like the meshing is off. Makes me afraid it'll break while running. This is the exact feeling I aim to avoid when choosing RCs personally. You have to consider the price they charge for these cars too and the size of the company backing them.
@@philippegauvin4127 The reason the flaws are not mentioned with the Maxx Slash, of which there are many that we have seen in many video's now. Is because of getting free trucks sent out, to many flaws simply being brushed over or excuses made for a poor handling truck.

I've no doubt I'd enjoy a free one as well, but I'd never pay for one while these other options exist.

I don't think this platform is proven... I'm torn because SBG is a genuine guy so I'm having a really hard time putting together this opinion with the character expressing it. I'm usually holding back my impulse to want new releases but with this one there's no desire whatsoever.

Car is looking to be one of the worst cars of 2024. Ton of people who are serious bashers/racers are calling this thing for what it is. They must me arrma chills tho. The shocks are extremly short and terrible handling and air control
To each their own I guess! I like it for what it is, and enjoy the challenge of getting better at it and tuning it to my preferences! Thanks for watching!

Sorry but over priced peice of plastic and just replace esc before it burns up every 6s traxxas esc ive owned burnt up and few batteries and part car and brand new systems so lest say it sour taste all but i own now it crawler a 2and 4 wheel slash and a cherry emaxx that i got cheap for wifey and that has the castle esc so thats stock 6s esc traxxas i have now i find arrmas just better for thrashing and stock systems can be re used in cars i build from parts cars and dont have to worry of them catching fire plus warranty is crap at traxxas any more even my local shop has problems and since the jacked price they went from 80%traxxas to now carry 80 horizon products kranzel town hobby in PA it was only kranzels when i was teen ager but dad wanted to retire and partnered his son that couple years me older around 47 runs it now .
Traxxas is crap.
