Love to order this when I am at the food court and want some juicy beef. The beef comes raw on a hot plate and you can cook it to how well done you like.
Pepper Lunch also is avaliable here in Thailand, I've been to the nearest Pepper Lunch restaurant twice and all I gotta say, it is simply satisfying getting to cook your own beef.

Indonesia has a restaurant similar to this that costs only $3 per plate ($4 for the salmon one). There's less variations than Pepper Lunch though, but it tastes good.

Because you mix the rice in with the juices that come from the meat and vegetables. It makes the rice taste better. It’s like a sauce
