      ***** Thanks Patti !! I figured out that the dry eye pain was a side effect of a new hormone med my doctor put me on last month......I quit taking it and now each day they are feeling a little better. Thanks for watching and I hope you have a BLESSED day! HUGS :)

    Got straight onto doing this with an oblong doily for a thrifted denim shirt that I want to make double as a light jacket too….Thanks so much from Australia ✂️✂️✂️. I love boho too ✂️✂️✂️

  • @moseleereadingroom8267

    Love it. I have collected doilies, all sizes, over the years. I bet a doily would look good on the back of a sweat shirt too.

    Hi Amy! What a cute idea! I never would have thought to use a doiley like that! Great choice to do the collar points instead of the pockets. At first, when you started going for the corner of the other doiley, I thought maybe you were going to make a faux pocket square and that might have been cute too.
    I have problems with extreme dry eye too, so I can definitely relate. Not fun. Hope you get some relief very soon! Mary :)

      @AjsVintageDesigns  Před 9 lety

      Mary Sullivan Frasier Thanks Mary !! This was such an easy project....I can't wait to find some more thin doilies so I can put them on some of my t-shirts :) The faux pocket is a great idea !! I didn't think of that ...thanks :) My eyes are feeling a little better now that I quit taking some of my adrenal support meds.....the meds were causing the dry eye. Thanks again and I hope you have a BEAUTIFUL day! HUGS :)

    Thanks for the wonderful idea! I have some old dollies somewhere so I guess I will have to find them and then raid my husband's closet for an old shirt he never wears!

    I love how you look at items and seeing them for a different purpose. It's hard to get in that mindset but I'm trying a little at a time ;-) Thanks for all the great videos and ideas!!

      Sharon Shires Thanks Sharon !! Seeing the different ideas on refashion doesn't always come easy. Some days I can look at something and immediately see what I want to make of it and other days I can't come up with an idea at all. Thanks for watching and I hope you are enjoying your evening ! HUGS :)

    Amy, Oh there you go again making me want to be crafty again. I just love it. Just think of that in Pink flannel and a white doily and you would have my look LOL. Truly enjoyed this. Thanks for the great idea. Hugs sweet thing, Jennifer Xx

      SunnyBeachCouture Oh...a pink flannel and white doily would be FABULOUS !!! Love that idea....now just have to find the pink flannel (not easy...don't think I've ever seen one but a pink button down dress shirt would work). Thanks for watching Jennifer and I'm so happy you liked this project. Take care and I hope you are having a BEAUTIFUL day! HUGS :)

    Wow! I've bought doilies from yard sales, now I know what to do with them.

    The one you called star is the Pineapple pattern my mom used to crochet that pattern . I have several of them in different sizes. I like the shirt. Only thing I would a little different would be to sew the cut edges double on the collar so the in washing the stitches that you cut do not come apart

    • @AjsVintageDesigns
      @AjsVintageDesigns  Před 9 lety

      Trayne1837 Thanks for the advice....I may have to go back and do that if I have any problems after I wash it, or I may put some fray check on it now before I have to wash it and see if how that works. Thanks again for washing and I hope you are enjoying your day! HUGS :)

    You look beautiful with or without makeup. So don't you worry about that at all. I love the collar dolies it make the touch on it.I have yet to put the dollies on my blue jean jumper. Seems as though time gets away from me so fast now days!hhhahahah. I was afraid that cutting the doilie would fray it but I wonder if the spray adhesive stopped that . I should know how to spell dollies but it doesn't look right. I look forward to your videos so I am so glad that you went ahead without the makeup and as I said you look cute without it also.

    • @AjsVintageDesigns
      @AjsVintageDesigns  Před 9 lety

      reecebuttercup Thanks sweetie !! and as far as the fraying of the doily, you could also put a dab of fray check on the spot your going to cut (or a strong fabric glue). The spray adhesive I was using isn't strong enough to make a difference, it just works really well to hold thing into place if I can't use pins (its not a really strong bond). Thanks and would love to see your jumper when your done !! Thanks again and I hope you have a FABULOUS day! HUGS :)

    Great refashion! Question, the spray doesn't gum up your machine? btw: You're beautiful with or without makeup. Hope you feel better soon.

    • @AjsVintageDesigns
      @AjsVintageDesigns  Před 9 lety

      harpin569 Thank you sweetie ....that is so nice of you to say :) and regarding the spray adhesive I spray very lightly and never have had a problem with it gumming up my machine and I don't use it very often so I don't worry about it. Thanks for watching and I hope you are having a WONDERFUL weekend! HUGS :)
