Dude, we've solved for that problem in my house years ago by always having no less than 3 medium leeks in the fridge at all times. While you're at it, always also have at least 3 large onions, 2lbs / 1kg of carrots, 5lbs / 2kg of potatoes, a big ol` sack of flour, no less than 2lbs / 1kg of butter and a few containers of good chicken stock at all times, this list came straight from my grandmother who raised her 7 brothers through the depression. You'd be surprised how much shit you can make with those ingredients alone, add in a protein and some fresh veg from the garden and the options are nearly endless.

I've made this recipe twice now, both with some leftover roast chicken and turkey from dinners previous, got to say I will make this as many times as my lifespan permits, I'm not touching that jarred or frozen shit again. First time making a chicken pot pie. Turned out fantastic and very easy to make. I added more veggies, but otherwise stuck to the recipe. The taste is fantastic and my family loved it.
