    Think it’s pretty cool that Matt prints Marlings logo on the mold due to his collab on the design 🤙🤙

    Someone is gonna have a very nice box for the crappies! Winner, winner, chicken dinner all the way around. With crappie in mind, I’ll pick the pink chameleon color but for overall (with other applications in mind), my fav is the zombie blood! That would be Epic (pun intended) in the 4 and 5” prey baits! ⭐️⭐️😎
    Fav bait for this box is the 2.3

    • @SDGCustomLurecraft
      @SDGCustomLurecraft  Před 2 lety

      Great comments my friend! The 4" PB is where I saw Zombie Blood on Facebook, and you are not wrong! It was pretty fantastic. The guy who shot it did so at different saturations, which was cool to see as it illustrated how the affect of the pigment (the "strength" of the blue tint) change as the color was thicker. Neat stuff! Throw in a little blue highlight to REALLY drive it home... oh baby.

      I too was noodling over it in a morning dawn... could.. be.. fantastic. LOL! Or, the "effect" could get lost as it plays off the purple. Fortunately, there's only one way to find out :). Thanks for the feedback!

    Dope stuff! You convinced me to venture into bass lure tying…So far I’ve picked up the poison tail lead mold from do-it, as well as stacks upon stacks of plastic skirts, blades for chatter baits, and also several epic molds products. Can’t wait to fill my tackle box!

    Just freaking WOW!!!!! Adam, what is the very first craw you picked up in the video" It is a small one but looks awesome. I really like that "mander"!! That bait fished on a swing head is going to get murdered, you are just incredible, well done sir!!!!!

    • @SDGCustomLurecraft
      @SDGCustomLurecraft  Před 2 lety

      Thanks Dan! Epic makes some awesome stuff, to be sure!! That first craw is their Ned Craw, 2.5” I believe. Beauty of a little dude. And the Mander… I mean… right?! That mold is designed to shoot the ball tail and legs separately, then the body. If you really wanted to you could get 5-7, even 9 colors in 1 bait, LOL! Beyond that though… fishability… swing head, Carolina rig, shaky head, shoot… even a T-Rig! I can’t wait to try them out once the water warms up! Thanks for the love man! Glad you enjoyed the video!

    Looks awesome Adam. I love the chameleon color I use copper,silver,red,blue,purple in that and it really does awesome. copper really and red is my favorites in it tho you should give it a try sometime. What kind of stirrer are you using for your plastic and where did you get at ? I need something besides a butter knife.

    • @SDGCustomLurecraft
      @SDGCustomLurecraft  Před 2 lety

      Thanks man! Yeah, that pigment certainly lends itself to a bunch of colors - I can see how red and copper would be especially awesome! Regarding my stirrers, man… they may not be butter knives, but they are CHEESE knives, LOL! (No, really they are!). I wanted something that didn’t have a serrated edge that left plastisol on the side of the cup when I scrape it. Granted, one side of a butter knife is smooth and I could have used it, but the curve, how you normally hold it, etc… just wanted something different. And, IMHO, the thinner handle grabs less plastisol as I stir so I don’t loose as much when I pull it out of the cup. Who knows… I’m probably waaaaaay over-thinking it. Found them on Amazon. They go by “Cheese Spreader”. Hope this helps!

    I need a bunch of the slick swim 3inch for this perch season that resembles a lake shiner. Blue/silver and a perch pattern How much for maybe 25 of each as a start? New sub and customer. Footage on point👌🏾

    • @SDGCustomLurecraft
      @SDGCustomLurecraft  Před 2 lety +1

      Hey Victor, thanks for watching and thanks for the question! I’ve made some changes to my mold arsenal so 3” slick swims are still possible, but in solid colors only (with flake etc, of course, just no laminates now). Example: light blue with silver flake, green pumpkin with black and orange flake, just thinking of the patterns you mentioned.
      If that’s still of interest, feel free to email me at sdgcustomlurecraft@gmail.com and we can discuss! Thx again!

    The Epic 1.7 Prey bait. Just got the mold and I'm having issues with dual laminates. Can you tell me if you have issues with this mold getting good laminates out of it and what temps do you shoot? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you

    • @SDGCustomLurecraft
      @SDGCustomLurecraft  Před 3 měsíci

      Its been a long time since I shot that mold. In general (and especially with the unique sprue design it has) you need to be shooting 325 or less... the lower the better. Inject slower than normal so you give the plastic time to spin in the sprue, and be sure you're not using too thick a durometer... those sprue types function best (IMO) with a medium blend. Too much resin and the plastic is too thick to twist, even at higher temps). Hope this helps!

    • @Chris-jk1zv
      @Chris-jk1zv Před 3 měsíci +1

      Thank for the reply. I'm using a swimbait blend and maybe that is causing the issues. Maybe a worm blend would be better.

    • @SDGCustomLurecraft
      @SDGCustomLurecraft  Před 3 měsíci

      @@Chris-jk1zv could be. I think Swimbait blend is close to medium but I’m not sure. Temp (similar viscosity) is usually the main issue… shoot as cool as you can and make sure both sides of the laminate are “equal” (same durometer to start with, if one is powder and the other liquid pigment you’ll need to adjust temps to compensate, all that stuff).
