    I like that your chickens get outside in the grass. I have 30 hens that free range, and this makes me consider expanding my flock.

    Great video Lift Productions. I wish "Free Range" involved more natural food sources of Chickens, i.e. they should have far more fruit bearing bushes & trees but I guess that'll attract wild birds with illnesses so we continue this artificial process b/c "Profits"

    This looks like a promo video to justify the existence of some government agency. Short on details, but "the gub'mint" solved all his problems! So let's see, they told him what kind of fence to install, how to catch foxes, and that he needed silly, non-specific signs on all his gates. All stuff he could have looked up online for free. For this, let's guess at their annual taxpayer funded budget! :D

      How..?

    • @fatTony666
      @fatTony666 Před 3 lety +1

      @@Infected_Miller the eggs are sitting in nest boxes that are full of chicken faeces which shit stains the egg and gets through the porous shell inside the egg to grow salmonella and other nasty bacteria and viruses. The chickens have access to eating their own shit and access to cannibalisation eating each other to death. Nothing is better than cage eggs. Cage chickens are the best way of producing eggs.
      I have been an egg father for 44 years and I have both free range and cage, I'll tell you a little secret every egg farmer wants to tell you but never will. Free range is a massive scam that was pressured by vegans and animal liberationists. Free range chickens suffer really bad and are not happy like thier cage cousins. Vegans forced us to go free range so the egg industry sells thier cage eggs into expensive free range because free range eggs are shit stained rough shelled and free range chickens are constantly getting sick and always need antibiotics and de-worming and the dreaded bird flu and exotic salmonella which means every chicken in the whole farm has to be killed and the farm needs to be disinfected over a process of two years. Cage chickens DO not have any of these problems and NEVER need any sort of medication for anything. Free range is the biggest sham ever but no egg farmer is willing to admit it in public.
      Also don't pull the free range chickens are happy and cage is cruel. Anecdotal and scientific study shows that cage chickens are not only healthier but they are also a lot more happy and contented.
      Just walk quietly into a big cage shed and listen to them vocalise.
      You have been sold a sham by vegans.

    • @monadamus42
      @monadamus42 Před 7 lety

      Go fuck yourself, if I had 100 chickens I would gladly give some back to nature. Why do you assume he loves his chickens like you do? Foxes have the right to live, and humans have no right to kill them just make themselves happy. There are non-violent ways of dealing with predators. Also, I do know how long it takes for them to grow I own 9 chickens, they grow like bamboo.

    • @stevelanjam
      @stevelanjam Před 6 lety +4

      Adan, no one is attacking you for your view of predator control. I respect your love of nature and life. Remember though, that this man is trying to create a farm that is a more humane and healthier environment for the birds that will produce a better and healthier product for the consumer. Chicken batteries have no problems with predators like foxes, but at a horrible cost for the birds.Every since man has stepped back from hunting as a source of food and began farming and ranching, predator control has been a necessary balance whether it was for a source of income or a personal source of food.

      You must be an idiot if you think foxes and hyenas should be allowed to devour the chickens. And to be honest, they are not only a threat to the poultry but also to kids and people in general. Human life for me is more valuable than that of a fox. I have seen alot of animal rights activists who can't stand people of other race's, they treat animals better they they treat other humans of different race or social status. Since then I stopped taking such hipocrites like you seriously.
