- Certain names ring down through history as men and women who shaped the world. Some were forces of chaos, destructive and rapacious. Some were men of honor who fought for the right. Some defended their homelands from invaders, while others used their military might to violently acquire the lands of others. Battles such as Agincourt, Manzikert, and Hastings are remembered as turning points in world history, and names such as Henry V, Yi Sun-shin, and Erik the Red are etched forever as great conquerors. Now relive their tragedies and triumphs.

> Goes into a random town slaughtering everyone
> Gets annoyed at them retaliating
So this is yellow town then shoots at civilians - Vietnam War Colorized
"Won't stoop so low"
Still kills horses
They were french horses, its okay.
Henry probably could have pulled a Barbarossa and jumped in the river for a swim.
He could just have tried swimming to England...
"Henry the V must survive"...
That might be a problem. LOL
And finally at the end...
"Look at him survive". Hahahaha
'Hey I thought it was peaceful'......as he's shooting them dead!
17:27 "let's kill these horses, they are horses of the FRENCH!"
animal cruelty and racism GrassSad
Animal cruelty against the French and racism against the horses?
Not to be a downer, but "French" is not a race, it is a nationality... so only animal cruelty and anti-French nationalist! Still GrassSad
ok fine ,the franks
i have heard that you can find horse meat on menus in france. they have been noted for eating horse flesh for a long time.
Based.
I will sue Ensemble for false marketing, I have vandalised my university and got expelled instead of getting A's on my finals 😐
but did you learn Greek Fire?
the exam was on Greek Fire :( I tried writing a thesis on it after the uni gave me the boot and all I managed to write is the formula for it, how to apply it to effectively burn Persian, Saracen and Assyrian galleys in naval battles, when to add ground amber to the mix and how long must it lay in barrels before it HOLY SHIT IT IS REAL
Holy Fuck! Your exam is in Chemistry?! You need 300 Food and 200 Gold to succeed the exam!
Burgundy, the secret winner, again.
lol and yes and historically accurate, for the disaster of all French!
Hi Genghis khan
The funny thing about this mission is that you can actually end it in 2 minutes by just running past everything with henry
24:24 Monumets swap ownership depending on the unit that is nearby; it's the same building used in KotH; and yes it was blue before, probably switched to yellow beacuse of a random spearman scouting the area
"Kaioto"
Relux the Relux lol ikr
A stupid way to complete this is take Henry and just charge towards boat while dodging everything in way....I somehow did it that way and survived.....xD
Another stupid way to win:
1. Convert 4 Villagers.
2. Collect 20 Wood with all Villagers.
3. Build a Farm with all Villagers simultaneously. You now have 100 Wood.
4. Build a Lumber Camp; start collecting Wood.
5. Build a Dock and a House as soon as you have the Wood for it.
6. As soon as you have the wood for a Transport Ship, kill all of your army and Vills.
7. Build a Transport Ship.
8. Send Henry V home. xD
martijn how can you store wood without a lumberjack or a tc?
Tahsin Nix when you finish building the farm, the wood that the villagers are holding gets stored
Viper let Burgundy win
i think the dev's hated Burgundy, they were always the enemy
Only good thing Burgundy brought to France was beef and red wine. Now that I think of it, those were pretty vital imports.
monuments are convertible by units. thats why it was yellow
vipers eco management was on point this vid
the 'historic' way to win the battle is to build palisade using whatever wood you have left then send forward your longbows to kill the knights without letting them get past your walls.
I tryied it by converting a pikemen army before passing through the knights. lol
@@leonardo_pandaboff Yep. More precisely: spearmen from Yellow. Even though low HP, converted in large number, they are just enough to defeat those Knights.
I always loved this map. I remember one time I used cheat codes to get more resources which I then used to meticulously replace every single enemy building with my own 11
Basically "Nice town, I'll take it" :P
Damn, I thought I was the only one who did that.
I think you can do it legit, though. Convert villagers, send them to wood, then build a farm. Wood gets dropped off. Keep doing it until you can build a market and buy stone. TC can be built.
Same. That way is serious fun. I went post-Imp. Built whole army of Longbows and just crush everything
I did the same, with the Voyeni town :)
@@strangesignal9757 AFAIK that feature does not work in the original AOC since it was first implemented in The Forgotten. It works in HD edition though, so it should be possible to do it legitimately yes. Must try it out, have not played this campaing since before I got HD.
a thing i discovered on this map, you can actually convert some villagers, get them to chop wood and fill their inventory, use them all to create a farm, and boom you get the resources they got, then you can build a lumbercamp, then a dock, then a transport ship and that's it, the scenario ends.
Honestly I just finished watching "The King" from Netflix and I must say it was very exquisite. Immediately I thought of this game that I was so fortunate to grow up playing. The immense joy I felt is unmeasured so thank you for the video sir. You have cured my nostalgia
A fun fact about this scenario is that there is actually a way to get enough resources to build a lumbercamp (and thus everything else). If you convert atleast five villagers, you can make them gather 20 wood each and build a farm with all of them. When they're done building the farm, they will arbitrarily drop off their all of their wood to your stockpile. And then all of a sudden you have enough wood to build a lumbercamp!
Of course, you can always just cheat yourself the resources you need. But I've always thought that it really interesting to know that there's a "legit" way to do it!
Superesky than you can basicly build a dock and transport ship xD
Turkish Delight Piano and a house
4 vills are enough... 4x20 + the 20 extra from the 80 wood - 60 wood used for the farm ;)
How about following in that, just build a dock and a transport ship to take henryV straight home xD
*Some just random History*
The Battle of Agincourt is also know as: "The Battle where the Code of Chivalry was killed"
English Longbowmen when aproached by a French Knight, they overcome one knight with many other Englishmen, instead of keeping the noblemen as Hostage, as usual, they instead killed them and murdered them in horrendous ways.
French knights were juggernouts, the only way to kill them was to stab them between their helmet reaching their eyes, Stabbing their groin, and many other little weakpoints, totally slaughter and these ways were no quick technique to kill a Living human.
I want to believe the survivors of the battle in their later years bragged that they humiliated and killed a bunch of snotty noblemen.
Oh man, this mission. After how much I hated dealing with longbow archers in the Joan of Arc campaign, it was sweet to have them on your side.
Oh, Lepanto is "special" all right...
The one time you're worried, you're wrong. If you destroy the transport, another one spawns.
Thats one of my favourite scenario☺️I used to convert a couple of dozen of spearmen from the yellow village to simplify the battle
That famous speech at 16:45 was hilarious. So blase, like he was talking about a turn in the weather and not making a bunch of peasants into the brother of a king for their blood shed the same.
You missed the opportunity to exploit hard! You can convert several villagers, like 6-7 and have them cut wood until maximum. Then task them to build a farm. After building it you must have enough wood for a lumbercamp. I think it was a mistake giving us enough wood for a farm in this campaign.
Chop wood like a madman.
Convert a market and production buildings.
Profit.
Can't convert buildings in this campaign I think
Britons lack redemption :( You are correct.
I think in the original AoC, before AoE2HD, you wouldn't get the wood when the vills make the farm. So they'd chop wood and then when make a farm, their wood just vanishes. I'm not sure about that tho.
You'll still receive the wood in the original AOC actually.
There is a litte bug in this campign to play it, how it's not intended ^^
You start off with 80 Wood. So if you convert enough villagers and collect wood with all of them, so you have 100 Wood on the Villagers, you can build a farm with all of them and now you have 100 Wood. So now you can build a Lumbercamp and afterwords an entire base ^^
How about just a dock and transport ship and go straight home xD
Viper i think in HD if you pack the treb while the 100kg projectile which is being thrown over 300m, the shot is very likely to miss.
Great TheViper Phrases: "Kayoto"
I really want to see viper play the forgotten battles, those felt so hard for me, might just be that im really shit at the game...
I spent like 9 hours or something on the viking one. Was just wiping out the yellow player and taking down the wonder. Then the game crashed. Last save was hours ago.
Just an opinion for anyone else who wants to play this mission. Convert some villagers with your monks. When you reach Agincourt, use the wood you have to build a palisade wall between your longbowmen and the French knights. At your flanks, develop your knights with Henry and your swordsmen. Practically, you will inflict more damage to them because they'll have to surpass the wall. Historically, you become more accurate because the English indeed used the stakes and the mud to slower the enemy cavalry so they are too vulnerable to the english arrows.
Make it look east, dude. That's why it's fun to watch. I don't remember much about Lepanto except it took me several trys to beat it.
Viper I found your schedule for twich tv live streaming... thanks man for your time and awesomeness, but no schedule for campaign playthrough streaming, actually you can tell us the time when you are on steam to play campaigns... so that we can join to watch your game live. GO VIPER THE EPIC AGE OF EMPIRES 2 GUY!
"Don't kill those innocent horses!" 5 mins later "Kill those horses, they belong to the French!"
That sick micro... Steamroll the mission and lose only 7 units, some of them being converted crossbows! Amazing. By the way the cathedral turned to yellow because the object is a Monument (like in King of the Hill) and not a wonder, and it was captured by the yellow spearmen that explore the map. Sometimes it can also be teal or green at the end of the mission...
Sas that he didn't remember Burgundy (the best mate) after the story text was read.
it was blue indeed
I completed this campaign by just engaging my entire army with the French and sneaked out with king Henry without stopping.
This can't be the Viper: He's really concerned about not losing units for no reason, and Henry V doesn't even come close to dying!
yessssssssss
I was playing this mission and in the end I also confused that I thought the monuments(cathedral) was blue but it is yellow. But it is a monument and can be captured by simply standing next to the monument. Apparently there is nothing happen if player captured the monument though
convert vill
lumberjack
rock on
build tc
how do you turn this on
IT'S CALLED HERESY
"Happy we few happy band of brothers
For he today that sheds his blood with me shall be my brother"
- Henry V by Shakespeare
Oh and one thing. Change the diplomacy to ally for everyone just as the game begins, so that you don't get contact with harfleur before you have positioned your army. Then slaughter them as you wish.
Feel the longbow. Taste the longbow.
That intro, gave me serious SargonofAkkad vibes
We should petition him to play all the AoE campaign while giving historical commentary
Lepanto,.... whats so special about this campani? well,. you will love it! Great campain very easy, straightforward and short. Just like that an insta win. :-) Gl Hf
Whats great about this scenario is if you just right click king henry to the boat you can win the game in 3 minutes!
Viper, I have a suggestion for the next one. (dunno if you have played it yet but whatever).
The obvious choice will be to go heavy on water, however I vote that you dont do that since the mission becomes kinda boring and way too easy. It just turns into waiting until the timer is out which will be boring both for you and us viewers.
But try to not go water and still win. If you manages to win then, then I will be really damn impressed and it will be very fun because that is hard.
Hope you will read this!
PartialViewmusic yeah I thought the same. I mean some water is fine but he shouldn't destroy the transportships:)
Yeah, exactly.
Viper #clearly said it in this video but ok. Lepanto is the next one.
The Lepanto mission was the first one I played in the expansion, won without building any ships. Was damn fun! Really learned to appreciate halberdiers then.
Well played in that case. Havent tried that mission in a long time so dunno if I would have been able to beat it without any ships nowadays. But back then when I was 1600 HD it was impossible without killing transports. I am 1900 now so might try to replay it without killing any transports :)
the next mission will be fun..hardest campaign on the battles of the conquerors imo
Ane Mesh i agree. the koreans and japa mission is quite boring imo :/
Read what I wrote above. If you go water the mission is way to easy which is why I suggested that he doesnt do that.
But if you wanna win that mission, believe me. Go water, patrol your boats evenly along the shore and it gets super easy to the point that it gets boring.
when I started this campaign, I didn't look at the map, I just tried to break those purple walls and lost my rams xDD
Was I the only one who was seriously expected that Biper press the delete button on Henry V. before he could reach England? daaamn.
I beat lepanto first time, but it is a lot easier if you know what you are doing. Wish you could get higher pop though
please make a challenge with turtles on arabia lakes @Kev Smith
TheViper, you didn't need to kill those horses that belonged to the French Knights (Blue) or Amier (Light Blue).
Diaper do you plan to do expansion campagns as well? (forgetten emp, african kingdoms, rise of rajas)
This level was already pretty challenging for little 10 year old me playing in standard mode, because I didnt have the patience to treb down castles
Map hack on this one: get 4 vills converted, make them chop 20 wood each, make them build one farm together (you have 80 wood) ==> the 20 wood each vill carries is put in your stockpile. You now have 100 wood in your stockpile. Build a lumberjack camp, you're in business!
Why cant king henry just swim through 11
"Kaioto" Pepega
Arc
Not even steam sales stop me from watching a new campaign
Challenge. Convert 5 vils on this map, collect 20 wood with each vil, build field, then a lumber camp and play a nomad map :D
But wouldnt you need a drop-off for the wood first? It is specifically designed in a way to prevent you from building an economy.
nope, the villagers will put the ressources they are carrying into the bank when they build a dropoff building or a bank (play the bertie's quest scenario for more)
Pants Areoptional Farm, not bank. :)
4 vills are enough in fact, you have 80 wood in the beginning ;)
Tours
The first castle had 9 range. Viper's longbowmen had 10 range. Why make the ram take damage when he could just shoot it down with arrows?
I sent Henry V to england only after sending back all the units first, cuz no man deserves to be left behind.
Don't kill horses
Few mins later..
Kills horses
17:36 Animal cruelty at its finest
Lepanto will be interesting..... Viper you are in for a big surprise....
I expect you to lose the first time...
Can you take over the green mill and then have the converted villagers farm for food? (then you can take over the market and then sell the food)
Harwinne Britons don't get redemption
It's a monument, not a wonder, you could have captured it for the lulz D:
Age of king n(AuB)
I too believe Shakespeare would have sounded better if every other word was battale.
would it be possible to convert 8 villagers, collect wood with them until they all carry 10 wood and then place a farm with all of them and get the 80 wood they were carrying to build a lumber camp?
or does this rule of receiving the resources when you build a resource dropoff/farm just apply on 1 villager?
No, it works. And you even only need 4 Villagers since you start in the Imperial Age and therefore have Hand Cart researched.
would be funny to try, but would take much longer probably...
You can actually win quite fast in this way. After building a Lumber Camp, you just need the wood for a Dock, House and Transport Ship, and your monks can convert extra Villagers to help while you are chopping.
oh yes you are right... maybe a possibility for a speedrun...
For a speedrun, you could just run Henry V to the Transport and dodge everything. Other people in the comments say that that is possible.
haha, i laughed at the ending when you were thinking what to do about the boat and if it would autoconvert while you had two monks right next to it and could convert it yourself
Viper in Amiens: Don't kill the horses , we are better than that
Viper near French Knights castle: Ok let's kill these horses , they're horses of the French
Lol
the "u" in conquer is silent
yes, it's because like many other English words (especially for war or cooking or science, aristocratic first, because of William the first, the "conqueror"), it's French (and English respect the pronunciation of the originate language like the spelling).
LoL burgundy beat you
you can just use the hero unit and rush past everything, u win in 2 min lol
Lepanto :(
I play kyoto but i cant win
Obligatory video to watch before this mission :
czcams.com/video/y1BhnepZnoo/video.html
this is the dullest mission in AoC
I win this going yolo with Henry V and le him 2 HP XD
Vasile Silion
Hmm... you're romanian?
He definitely is, only we have that name.
Yes i am :) and btw sorry for my english...
Vasile Silion
No problem, your name has that eastern latin resonance, so I recognized it :)
"The siege of Harfleur is lost!"
*Harfleur Defeated.*
came here for 16:30
The moment where TheViper uses the same intro sound as Sargon of Akkad XD
The first time I played it, I converted spears to kill knights (slow and steady (^_-)).
actually this is very easy as fuck
just tyoe torpedo2 and press enter
Viper have u ever thought about playing the Battle for Middle Earth two Rise of the Witch King? casue it is a great game
Yay?!
Yay!
So much Yays make me feel like I'm watching an MLP episode!
MALEMization as a brony i can tell you, you are 100% correct
Hey I'm a brony too!
I was the 1000th like 😎
Wow, Lepanto!
I remember the day when I finish that campaign in a Trump way
hc koo i cant wait viper's reaction when the purple came with the goddamn army
You can defeat the French knights by hiding your army in the small base near the river to the south (the yellow base with a dock) then send henry to lure the knights, as the knights come in because of the palisade wall the archers will be able to shoot them for a while and after several times luring like that the knights will be defeated with little casualties lmao
IS THIS ON PURPOSE!!!!!!!??? WHERE IS LAPANTO? Dont put it at last...
He is playing the campains in chronological order, so Lepanto is next.
i always thought that battle of conquerors doesn't have any order. but thankx i have been waiting for lapanto for long :D
Zawar Mahmood it doesn't. but it has the years the battles took place so he is doing it according to timeline
Please... PLEASE deactivate Pussywood, it takes so much from the atmosphere of those campaigns :-|
Nah, pussywood is essential.
Viper said that he cannot! It became indispensable for him as life, food and water itself! Trust me that's what he said!
If he deactivates pussywood he would be guilty of giving cancer to 95% of the aoc community-
what is pussywood ?
viper, trust me, you must build the fortified walls along the beach on the next campaign
Why spoiling?
M its not spoiling' its recomending
BS. Besides, Viper has asked people not to give tips, so that the playing experience is authentic.
Most of us are just here to watch Viper get rekt by campaigns. stop defeating the purpose Kappa.
first
GEEZ! Why do you click so much? It's irritating as hell.
