I failed to mention you have several sizes to choose from and can also state whether you want round or square. After looking at this, I am getting really excited to work on it!

Something that I did on my current larger canvas and it might help you if you do this, is on the overflow glue beside the schematic put one or two diamonds that match the symbol and DMC number. This was an extra step in kitting up so I could always match stray drills easily if I wanted. But with the B&W canvas and and schematic it might help you find the drills.
Hi K S! Thank you so much for watching! That’s an excellent idea and perfect for the black & white canvas. 🦋
Looks interesting and definitely mysterious! I’m looking forward to seeing what it looks like! Have fun!
I'm excited to get started on this one, probably for our event in April.
@@TheCraftyDiamond Awesome! I love that you do so many events. Have fun!
Wow. Very thankful for the warning. I'm sure it will be gorgeous.
Hi Jane! Thanks so much for watching. This one will be gorgeous if I ever get to it!
@@TheCraftyDiamond That mixed gray looks super scary especially in that size! My hat is off to you.
I'm currently working on a canvas that is all black and white and just love it! I find the colors in the squares confusing if they don't match perfectly which happens so often! I have a Josephine Wall waiting to be kitted up and I'm so excited to start!! Good luck
Hi Laurie! Glad to know you are loving your black and white canvas. I am excited but a little nervous. Any tips you can give me? I've never worked on a black and white!
Haha Debbie you cracked me up! Thanks for this video! I WANT ONE! That looks like the challenge for the year!!!!! It looks like newspaper 😂😂
Love it!❤
It does look like newspaper! I'm not sure when I will have time to start on this one, but I want to now lol!
They did a recent update to the site. You now have the option to print in color for the Josephine Wall diamond paintings (I recently placed an order for one).
Hi Ellie, Thanks so much for the update! I’m excited to order a printed canvas. Thanks for watching!
I’ve ordered from them, mine are in color. Very beautiful
Hello Wicked Nicker! Thanks so much for subbing and watching! I haven't worked on a black & white before so this will be interesting. Glad you like this company!
Wow...just wow Debbie. This will quite the undertaking for sure and I wish you the best of luck with this one. I would have to say it would be a hard no for me just because of the black and white, especially the white background for a round drill kit....so strange. I have a real problem working on a mystery kit like this for very long at a time because my eyes go wonky and it gives me a headache...so it would take me years and years to finish this..and I am not getting any younger! LOL!!!! I look very forward to you working on this someday and see what you think after you have worked on it awhile. Have an awesome week Debbie!
They have a note on their site stating they do the black and white because it is so confetti. They say its easier on the eyes. This isn't exactly but it sums up what the note saids. If I remember correctly It's only the Josephine Wall and mystery kit that they do this. The rest has the colors like normal.
I have always wanted to do one but didn't want to order from overseas.
Hi Tammy, The company decided late last year to include B&W for the Josephine Wall canvases, because there were some complaints about the color renderings being difficult to read. I am looking forward to the challenge just not sure when. Thanks for watching!
Hi Carol, I will have to take breaks for sure!
I ordered a JW Race To Fairyland in August from this company. I had a colored canvas and it had a clear cover. Was paper thin and tore so I had to put release papers over the whole canvas because it was un usable. I have kitted it up 70x90 square I had checked I wanted ABs which they didn’t. Put in which was disappointing. I love doing DAC mystery paintings so the black white doesn’t bother me personally. Thank you so much for sharing. Looking forward to your JW event🤗🙋♀️😘
Hi Tricia, Thanks so much for watching! I am so glad you are going to join us for the JW Event! Maybe, that is why the opaque plastic on mine is so thick. Thanks for sharing!
I am new to Diamond Painting but Josephine Wall is for the Hardcore Diamond Painter. It is no longer Pro but Expert Level.
Kathrin Anna, Thanks so much for watching and commenting! Josephine Wall's are very detailed and confetti heavy. You can build up to it!
This is my 2nd video ive seen from this company the other girl almost cried in sadness because of the confetti..... I felt bad for her. But i just ordered one like two days ago n i keep checking on it byt im sure the shipping will takw foreverr thanks for the video!
I love confetti so I think I will be fine. I am kitting this one up soon so stay tuned! I feel bad for her as well. I hope you get your kit soon and love it. Thanks for watching!
Debbie!!!!! 😂😂 Wowza!! The artwork is beautiful though!! Maybe set it up somewhere that you can leave it out -work on it when you feel like it!!! Once you get a little bit of it done it will probably be motivating!
Hi Cindy! This one will be a slow go for sure. Thanks for watching!
I just ordered a j wall from this company. It came in black and white cause they had to reprint the canvas due to symbol clarity. I like the black and white cause it’s like a mystery kit :)
Hi Charlene! I am glad you like the black & white. I think I will once I get started on it. I haven't done a mystery painting! Thanks so much for watching and commenting!
@@TheCraftyDiamond I have never done a mystery painting either. Could never find the ‘right’ one. At least with my j wall, it’s like a mystery painting so I won’t have to purchase one unnecessarily.
@@charlenehuang1381 - I like your way of thinking!
HOLY Macaroni....thanks for showing this. Ummm this will be a great challenge for anyone. I really want to do a JWall for the event and in general. So event in April that means I have to order end of Feb. 🤔🤔
Go for it!
I was just shopping their Josephine Wall collection when I wanted to check for an unboxing video first to see how many drill colors there would be. I saw this note on each page…
“Please Note: This canvas is produced in Black and White to make the symbols easier to decipher due to the large amount of confetti and colours used.”
😳
It’s almost like purchasing one of the mystery kits from another company I love. Lol! I do unboxing and review videos too, so I appreciate your effort on this video.
Do you know if this canvas is a high-tack (double-sided adhesive) or poured glue? The vinyl covering could indicate either one, and I didn’t catch that part.
Hi Melanie B! Thanks so much for watching. I really enjoy your channel. It is poured glue. The vinyl is similar to what mystery paintings are covered in so you can't see the image.
Love your video all the best when you start that one it would be interesting to see how you get on with it would give me a headache I will just carry on with my large ship good luck 🤞
Tracey, I am looking forward to seeing your ship completed!
@@TheCraftyDiamond thanks don't know how long it's going to take me but I will get it done 👍
@@traceyowen2437 - Just enjoy the process!
I am so curious. Also very excited that another company has Josephine Wall. I keep looking for the Tickling Dragon. Sadly they don't have it. I did find one I am interested in, Forest Friends.
It sure does remind me of a mystery kit. I did Anne Stokes mystery kit from DAC. Loved it. Makes it very interesting when there is no colour on the page so as you put drills down, the canvas comes to life. Just wondering how round drills will do on a white background.
Thanks for showing this kit and introducing me to a new company.
Hi KC, I am also wondering how rounds will look. I'm wondering if I should have purchased a square, but the company says from a distance you are not able to see any of the symbols.
That's good information. Maybe I should do a square. Than it will take me 2 years ..lol
@@tammyglasenappsimon4941 - I think square would look better.
@@TheCraftyDiamond I plan on doing The Honey Suckle..this just called to my heart. Oh yeah you got a good price on yours. I will IG you what they quote me. I already told my husband I was buying it the end of February. I told him cost he rolled his eyes but I explained it had over 200 colors and the drills came with it. He just nodded his head. 😂
I bought a kit from haed and I ordered black and white and it also looked like a mystery canvas but it was easier to read from what I understand from someone that did a colored one use a lite pad mine turned out beautiful
Hi Colleen! That is so good to know! Are all of their canvases square?
Yes they have numbers
Do you find some of the symbols are different than most kits?
Yes I do
That’s interesting! I’m looking forward to hear what you think about this one when it’s done. Unfortunately this company doesn’t ship J Walls to continental Europe so I won’t be able to give one a try myself 😔
Hi Elsa! I will definitely keep everyone posted once I start this mammoth project!
Diamond Painting Deutschland does, doesn't it? It is in Germany.
@@thurayya8905 Yes they do and I love their JWalls 🥰 It would be fun to give towtda a go too though, unfortunately it's not possible 🤷🏼♀️
Yes they are all squares from haed some people are don't round drills I wouldn't too much of the canvas would show.
Hi Colleen! I was thinking the same on rounds. Thanks for watching!
Egads. I had a panic attack just looking at that humongous canvas and all those HUNDREDS of little zip lock bags full of drills LOL.
Hi Terri! The first time I unboxed a kit with so many drills, I actually sighed lol. Now, I am used to it. You just kit up one bag at a time and take as long as needed. Thanks so much for watching!
Debbie, I ordered 3 J. Walls from them this last year. They are all squares. The canvases were printed in color and they came with a clear cover on them. The one I am looking at doing has 225 colors, more than I thought it would. I am worried about doing them because the symbols are hard to read. I wish that they had stickers with them, it would make it so much easier. I am concerned that you are doing a round with a white background. Anyway, good luck to both of us with our canvases.
Hi Deborah! I was told they went black & white due to issues with difficult symbols on the color renderings. I wonder why mine has the clear cover? What size is yours? Good luck - I know you can do it!
This was my first order from them, mine is black and white (squares), and yes, I have the same white plastic. Since it is in black and white, I guess it doesn't matter. I will just pick a corner, figure out what I am using, and start.
That's exactly what I plan on doing. I'm starting at the top and just working my way down. Thanks so much for watching and responding. I really appreciate it!
@@TheCraftyDiamond My pleasure☺️
I just ordered one today and am a bit intimidated by it but I know what I'm getting into. :)
Like you I'll work on small sections at at time but eeeks!
Are you all doing the Josephine Wall event again and if so what month is it?
Thanks for sharing,
Hi Linda! Yes, Angie and I are hosting the J. Wall event in April and May this year. I hope you join the event and thanks for watching!
Hopefully your experience with them is better than mine. Unfortunately, it did not go well when I received my Josephine Wall kit from The One With the Diamond Art. I would love to see an update!
Jacqueline, Thanks for watching and for your comments. I am not sure when I can get to this one, but I will definitely keep you posted. I'm sorry your experience did not go well.
What happened?
I can't imagine what it will look like since you got round drills and there will be no color between drills, it will be interesting to see
This will be interesting for sure! I’m just going to work on small sections.
I’d love to know if all their kits are like this!
I think the max colors are. The website does include a disclosure that this one is B&W!
I think they can't list the number of colors because the number of rounds and squares may differ and also whether you have ordered ABs with it (I did).
That makes sense! I don't think I ordered any AB's. I don't remember seeing the option.
ABs are at the end of the other colors. Looking at this, I realize I am going to need more accessories: a DMC chart, more snap boxes, and possibly a box with DMC dividers just so I can sort them into like characters or colors. A tray organizer, as I have gotten by without one until now. More $$$ I don't have; the kit was the least expensive part of this 😆.
You can use the baggies the drills came in and put the stickers on the bags. The DMC numbers should be on the stickers and also on the bags. If you have a box, you can just stand them up. That might save you some money. Just a suggestion.
It says on the website with this Josephine Wall Enchanted Manor it will be printed in black and white because of the confetti. Is it possible you didn’t see the notice saying it would be printed in black and white?
Hi! I knew it was black & white but didn’t realize the symbols would be so small. I’m going to work in small sections to make it easier. Thanks for watching!
I wish TOWDA had renderings on their site, but I can understand that they are not going to give them away to possible competitors. Still, as you pointed out, there is no way to figure out where to put your enhancement crystals.
You can see the renderings on their site but can't see the rendering on the kit due to the thicker paper. Angie shows how she used DAC covering to replace her DPD double sided adhesive.
According to the company, they made the canvas black and white because they want to make it less intimidating and easier to see due to how confetti heavy these paintings are.
Hi Ellie, I understand why they did it. Unfortunately, the small symbols kept giving me migraines. I’m sure if the symbols were colored, I would have the same issue. Thanks so much for your comment and for watching!
@@TheCraftyDiamond oh I'm sorry. Migraines are no fun (I get them, too). I thought about from them and maybe using a light pad to prevent that but I'm not sure if that make easier to read or blown the symbols out.
I just received my JWall today, Woodland Tryst, 80cm x 100cm. My box had had kanji and the name of the Chinese company it was ordered from, the box wrapped in wide tape. Was not protected by a plastic bag, perhaps because of environmental concerns. FedEx had not been kind to it and one end was dirty, crumpled, and had been wet and was still damp. The canvas seems to be okay, though.
Oh My Goodness! I would contact the company and let them know. Did you order from The One With The Diamond Art? I hate that your kit was dirty and damp.
@@TheCraftyDiamond Sorry, I wasn't clear; it was just the box. The canvas seems to be okay. It was definitely the fault of Fed Ex, not the company or China. Thank goodness China taped up the box!
Keep the sticky on it
Thanks for watching! I hope to start on this one early part of next year.
Can you return this kit since it is so much work?
Thanks for watching! I am actually excited to work on this kit but not sure when I will have the time.
I think doing this would be great fun with the black and white print. Are there visible grid lines ? This is quite important to me, as seeing slight grid lines helps me putting down the diamonds nicely.
Hi Sonja, Thanks so much for watching! There are not any gridlines. The squares might be easier to lay down drills. I'm just going to focus on each symbol.
Hi Debbie. Thank you for your reply. I just noticed that you were unboxing a round kit. I thought it´s a square. For the round it does totally make sense to not have the lines visible. But I am interested in buying a square kit :)
Diamonds and washi unboxed a kit by this company
Thanks, Virginia! I must have missed her video. I will check it out. Thanks for watching!
Reviewing Scorpio dragon is the kit your looking for
This is a NO for me. Curious how this works out tho.
Hi Diamond Days! Thanks so much for watching!
Round without color on the canvas? I'd get my money back.
Hi Jess, The website states the canvases are black & white to help better see the symbols. This will be a challenge, but I'm up for it! Thanks for watching!
@@TheCraftyDiamond goodness! I am super curious now to see how this works up. Will that level of confetti render clearly in a round without the background coloring? It will definitely be a challenge.
@@jessdiamondpaints - I was told it would but guess I’ll find out! I may kit up just out of curiosity!
There will be white showing between each drill for sure.
@@amberlynn3712 - I am concerned about that. I normally order squares. Hopefully, from a distance it won’t be noticeable. The drill quality looks really good.
Mystery kits must be square so the background doesn't show 😕
Hi Sticking With Diamonds! So true on the mystery paintings. This might be similar to how Jade's paintings are with the negative renderings. I'm really not sure yet. Thanks for watching!
Hey @@TheCraftyDiamond I have several of Jade's kits and the negative printing is only on her square kits.
