Thanks for including A arm gassers. Just recived my Milodon p/n 30975 gen V and VI big block chevy 454 . Redoing my "56" have not driven it since high school 1980
God knows Chevy gave us plenty of room under that hood. The only thing I didn't like was the darn time it took me to remove that hood.. those were the days of working in the pits at the Puyallup 1/4 mile drags! My 55 had a 409 w/ 3-deuce carb intake. From the 9th grade to Nam, I raced my 55; yet, kept her street legal. Cheater slicks on deep-dish chromes and baby-moons up front. My 3/4 Isky definately made her a chick magnet in school. Question.. why didn't you ever take her out after 1980? Military? Thanks.. any plans in the nearer future w/ that big block?
@@timothybradek3560 oh thanks for the comment, I stopped driving my when my brother blew the engine., while street racing in Bowling Green, Ohio Soon after that I got married and a Child was soon on the way. Back in the mid seventies I helped a good friend build one that runs at Bandimere in Colorado to this day. It has been a crowd favorite from day one and no pic on here so I take it you don't travel up into nose bleed country. Blood red and named Katchup
I'd call her "CATCH UP" racing on the 1/4 mile at the Puyallup drags, Wash. where I raced mine... mid '70s' (no name). That is til drafted to Nam.... thks

Years ago Colorado had a law that if you took front bumper off it left a sharp edge on front pan- but if you took the front pan -then you were legal! I had a 55 sedan delivery!

I just wrote an article for Speed and Kulture magazine about the car at 4:51. It’s a neat story. The owner of the car at 7:15 just passed away he was a great friend of mine.
Its still sitting in that same spot. I've been trying to buy it from the owner for a couple years. It sits in the woods behind my house. I took the picture that is in the video. My car is in the video a few times as well.
CHASING MUSCLE CARS my car is the Bad Juju 55. Its in the beginning of the video when it was flat green with magnesium wheels, and again when it was in the Traditional Rod and Culture video doing a burn out with green psychedelic paint. I see a lot of my friends cars in there too.
Anybody that cuts a 1/4 to radius a tri 5 should be shot and stuffing a Hemi in a Chevy is just as bad. A Willys, yeah, a Chevy, no. It's like a 2JZ in a musclecar, seems cool, but not really.
Love them 55 an 56 gassers nothing better.😮

Someone PLEASE get those poor beautiful babies out of those lonely fields and woods!!!!!!!!!!!
55 Chevy's were born to race and they look fantastic doing it. Great video
Yes I agree. Thank you.
For my taste the 55 with the rear wheel wells rounded were the baddest looking gassers. Wish I still had mine.
Great collection. Thanks. Craig
I am 66 and have been love with 55 Chevy my whole life. Currently have a short bed 55. Thanks for posting.
