That first tune is mine! This review is super helpful. On the "Movin" vocal part I had it going through iZotope's Vinyl - I was trying to go for a retro sound, like an old school sample. Hearing it now, I totally get that it just sounds harsh. I'll work on it. Great suggestions all around. Thanks for the review! Awesome channel.
This first one is a banger, I LOVE it! Never stop doing these, they are so helpful for me as someone who just started production in feb. These are excellent learning tools & I love hearing everyone's creative styles. 🙏🏻 Very inspiring!
First song is a banger! Other than the vocals in the intro, I think the main lead vocal is just a little thin (maybe too much low cut?) and could use some high frequency limiting. Just to round things up.
Loved that low-end lift that you did on Mix 2. I thought it sounded good as it was - then you brought the low-end up and I thought, "Oooooh, I love *that* ." I always learn something cool watching your videos. BTW: I saw a 'short' that you did on sidechaining a multi-band comp to trigger the room off the snare. So cool. I watched the Rick Beato interview with Brendan O'Brien. He used that move with the RHCP.

For sure - it does like it’s distorting to me also - soothe or smooth operation might help it
