Delcarte Recreation Area Franklin, Massachusetts

The Delcarte Recreation Area is one of the latest additions to the world class parks and recreation system in Franklin. One of the most popular spots in Town, the Conservation Commission initiated a two-year sustainability and restoration effort to bring the ecosystem back to its original, natural state.
The initiative includes removing invasive flora and fauna from the pond. The first step will be eradicating the invasive weeds in the pond. Once this part is complete, the project will look to eradicate the invasive fish and other flora on the perimeter of the Pond.
