Richard Strauss: Tod und Verklärung Claudio Abbado, conductor Gustav Mahler Youth Orchestra Renaud Capuçon, concertmaster Recorded live in Salzburg, 1998
Les meilleurs jeunes musiciens du monde. Un niveau dont la performance ferait presque peur. Notre Renaud Capucon était déjà le meilleur. Merci aussi au maestro Abbado.
I feel that Claudio is just writing this music and not playing it. Such a vast great and enormous inspiration. Time is dead in this piece. Claudio kills him
Te recomiendo un video deo reciente del canal de Raquel aller, es un poema sinfónico que representa la muerte de alguien, y la transfiguración del alma ascendiendo al universo
I agree, there were several moments when listening, I said "slow down!" Nice control in the horn section, and when the orchestra took that last "breath" together, for a moment, *there* was the tempo my ears yearned for!
As long there is music in this world, there is hope.
I wish we had more Youth Orchestra in the world. This is so beautiful.
some of the musicians we recognise later in the Luzern Festival Orchestra!
Wonderful memories - Summer 1998 with the GMJO!! I wish it could be repeated and all of us could be that young again...
fantastic beautiful everything.....Strauss.......Abbado and the Gustav Mahler youth Orchestra:-)) thx for posting
