  • Do yo want to improve your foil skills?
The chances are that you are trying every session to get more stability, fly through that jibe or go faster. Your progress is slow and sometimes it feels if you are going backwards and it's getting to the point that session you were so looking forward to is turning into frustration.
Windfoiling is a highly technical sport and requires quite some knowledge, skill and experience to have full control. You depend on those weekend sessions and just maybe sometimes an occasional evening session as you are working the rest of the week and also want to spend some time with your family.
It sounds like you need a shortcut!
Take a clinic from somebody who really knows how it's done like foil slalom PRO & PWA rider ‪@bobvandeburgt‬ .
Someone like Bob can speed up your learning proces significantly.
I often say "It's not you, it's your equipment!".
Bob can help you setup your equipment so that you'll have a fair chance of having fun and can see immediately what needs to be added/fixed in your technique.
In this video I'm gonna give you a little insight into a foil clinic by Bob.
    Have fun watching and
    See you on the water!

      Hi Marko,
      thank you.
      Great to hear.
I hope you get a chance soon to do a clinic like that.
You can always contact Bob and just maybe you could organize a clinic at your homespot.
      You never know...
      Thanks again and....
      See you on the water!!!

Hi, great video. A question, sometimes I see windfoiler (iQfoilers) standing with the back foot infront of the footstrap. Why do they do this?

      Hi Mats,
      thank you!
In windfoil racing you are looking for a comfortable stance and control.
As most of the regular iQfoil racing is sailing up- & downwind the foil will be pretty powered which can also be seen by how far the foilers are hanging off to the front while in their harness.
To have more pressure on the front of the board when going on a deep downwind course you can place your backfoot out of the back strap and in front of the strap (and to the inside) to have a comfortable stance and be able to keep the board level.
In this situation you will be going relatively fast without having much pressure in your sail.
I also use it as well sometimes when pointing so it's easier to have a more upright stance, but when really pushing across or just slightly off the wind I prefer to use both straps for maximum control.
I don't do much course racing on the foil, but mostly slalom, so maybe the iQfoilers on the channel how are reading this can complement.
      See you on the water!!!

seems x15 going well...any opinio about this board with light wind for course racing?

      Hi Carmelo,
I'm using the older slamom version of the X15 in the width 81cm.
This board is great for slalom with sails up to 8.0.
I also use it with 9.0 and a 90cm wide 850 cm2 frontwing, but for the bigger sail sizes I would recommend a wider board (around 90cm).
I almost never use a course race setup, but I expect you would want the wider boards 90-100cm for that.
Have fun flying over the water and...
      See you on the water!!!
