    When you started off with "empty gas tank is frequently overlooked" I knew this was not the video for me... And as mentioned, deteriorated gas lines is usually the 1st problem, ok that ones easy. After that, the main problems with yard equipment that I always have is the primer bulb will not fill with gas (even a new bulb) or it will idle but die when you pull the trigger. I am sick to death of 2 stroke engines, you shouldn't have to replace the carb, bulb and lines every year!

      Which type of leaf blower do you recommend?

    • @thereaper2762
      @thereaper2762 Před 2 lety

      @@allan5692 I recommend electric! Kobalt is nice. Since my last comment I had to put a new carb on my Husqvarna weed eater. Put a new one on last fall and 1st time I needed it this year it wouldn't run. I did EVERYTHING outside of changing the carb and wouldn't run. New carb, ran just fine. I only used it twice last year after the last carb, its a joke! I bought an electric Kobalt weedeater this year as a backup and its not as powerful but gets the job done. They had a weedeater/leafblower combo but I didn't buy that cause I have a Poulan leaf blower with, yeah, the same problems everytime I try to use it. Which isn't often but replaced the carb at least once on it

      I agree. I'm absolutely sick of 2 strokes. I'm all about electric, but the power just isn't there yet

      @@maxallen8039 I've only dealt with Kobalt but the leaf blower is pretty darn powerful and the higher voltage weedeater does alright, I have to slow down sometimes but they're great as a backup

      If you just run the machine dry when your done with it or drain the fuel when your done with it, after you drain the fuel start it and let it die you won't have the issues your having. I've done this with all my 2 strokes and they start right up Everytime. The biggest thing that ruins them is ethanol fuel

    I have a little Craftsman 25cc blower. Even though it is probably 12 or 13 years old it doesn't have more than 2 or 3 hours on it. It had only failed to start once in the past and new gas fixed it. When I recently started to use it I noticed it was low on fuel so I added some trufuel that is nearly a year old. It started right up and ran for maybe 3 minutes before shutting down. I replaced the fuel with a fresh mixture that included the same fuel I use in my car. It won't start. Even though it has some age it has very little use and the fuel is fresh and the plug still looks new. I am at a loss.

      Yeah I don't know man.2 weeks ago second pull it fired right up,ran fine.Yesterday I yanked on it till I was blue in the face.I don't get it.Was ready to smash it against a tree.It's got fresh gas,new plug last fall.Fuck that thing.

    How about this one! My blower quit and wouldn't start. I checked for spark with my spark tester and it fired up with the spark tester installed??? I took the spark tester off and plugged the wire back on the plug and it would not start?? I reinstalled the spark tester and the blower fired right up??? My blower will not start/run unless the spark tester is inline with the ignition??? I am very confused?? Could it be a resistance issue in the coil and sending to much voltage to the plug and with the spark tester inline it creates the right resistance?

      Change the fuel cap, some of them have small holes. Gas tanks need to breathe. Your fuel cap could be bad and cause the problem.
