We have a local friend/farmer that raises angus beef which my family orders a whole twice a year to divide among us. People do not realize what a delicious, and healthy, difference it is. You explained everything very well. You have a great source, nice to see a family operation still in the same family and doing well.

I love getting my meat from someone I actually know who is hardworking, ethical, honest, great parents to their 4 kids😳. The Mrs has been my hemodialysis nurse for years now and she & her family raise the most beautiful animals. And the best brisket I ever cooked came from her farm.😋
And that part about the 90 year old woman needing only 1/2lb burger is true, lol. Even half a lb is two meals for me.

Best way to source your meat!! My parents used to do that when I was young. I want to get back into it. We raised a pig for FFA that didn't make the grade for going to show so it ended up in our freezer...best pork EVER!!! Bought and finished a couple of steers...they were harvested a couple of years apart and were delicious. If I can't raise my own meat, I want to know where it came from. One of my kids is raising a couple of sows, one will soon end up in the freezer and the other will be bred.

Really a good informative video about homegrown/processed meat. We usually have our own beef to take to a locker plant. It is nice that the cut order can be customized to your needs. If you have never tried home canned beef/pork you have missed a real treat.

Awesome info! I used to go to meat lockers to work on their plumbing. Our neighbors gave us a 1/8 of a cow last month and it was grass fed, I am a corn fed guy but it is just great meat. I cant believe when I cook the hamburger there is no fat, no veins no bone chips just awesome beef. The junk from the stores is so bad for us. If anyone does not believe me try locker meat and you will know Mark is so right! Thanks for the $ breakdown I know what my deer processing was but didnt know what a cow was. John Deere is letting over 200people go from theyre Iowa plant in september and are moving it to mexico.........

Like number 15. I love getting meat this way. I like corn fed beef. And i tell them dont trim the fat off my cuts of meat. I love the fat😂
