Santa Rosa de Copán, also known as the Sultana of the West, is a municipality and city in the Republic of Honduras, head of the department of Copán. It is the most important commercial and political city in the west of the Republic of Honduras, a quiet and stately city. 2 3 due to its heritage and cultural history, the municipality was declared a National Historical Monument, through Executive Agreement No. 344. in 1991.
