Quest 3 games run at lower graphical fidelity compared to other headsets. These headsets do serve a necessary role in the VR ecosystem, for being the cheapest entry into the hobby, but it's frustrating when games are kneecapped by only launching on meta.

Me personally i actually really liked this, Lego horizon adventures looks like a fun play through, Neva looks really unique and nice, I am happy for a new wukong game, sparking zero looks amazing, and metaphor seems great too. People are way to judgemental, I see people in these comments hating on these games that havent even come out yet. I addmit not everything was great for example arkham shadow being a vr exclusive. But atleast let the games come out and see for yourself before getting angry.

More people can join the discourse, which is good. But the quality of that discourse drops. It feels like the English language internet has slowly spiraled in both reading and writing comprehension over my lifetime, and that explains at least some of it. Language has literally become less sophisticated, which means ideas have become less sophisticated. Roll that up with the modern desire for memetic or deeply simplified concepts, plus the pandering for clout and likes and you have the modern comment section I guess I should shut up then! I'm pretty sure dinosaurs couldn't talk.

Kinda expected STALKER to do some reveal here. And I'm not sure what Honkai: Star Rail was here for. It mostly seemed to be promotional for the current version 2.3 content that is very close to conclusion, and the only reveal that's worth anticipating for in there was March 7th's alternate, which gives me a mixed reaction. On one hand, I'm happy she is receiving a gameplay upgrade, on the other hand it doesn't seem to be deeply related to her very interesting origin story, which is still mysterious until now. But that's just me. Maybe it's because the game isn't that old yet that a lore reveal as potentially big as March 7th's would count as too early to do, and her alternate version here merely brings us one step closer to that.
geoff, i know you're probably not gonna see this comment, but as someone who is looking forward to being a part of the industry when i graduate this fall semester, the 2 years of layoffs have been disheartening to say the least. seeing games like Alan Wake 2 and Hi-Fi Rush reach critical praise and still see studio closure makes all of us feel like there's no job security or future in an industry where the rug can get pulled from under you at any moment. but i just wanted to say thank you for your opening statement directed towards ever single major company out there. for all the people in the last year and a half who were laid off, they definitely feel heard and seen.

Every year I make sure to watch the Devolver presentation, not particularly for the games but their presentations are always very creative and fun, I haven't watched Geoff Keighley's Summer Game Fest and the Game Awards for the past two years, I just watch a recap and call it a day, Geoff should take notes from Devolver how to make his presentations fun, more games less Hollywood celebs please

Why? Are you aware inflation? Do you know how long games have been $60? $60 used to be the equivalent of $100 and they’re still 60. In the 90s a lot of video games were the equivalent of like $150 today. Games are the only thing that haven’t gone up in price with inflation.
