I'm kinda racing one proud bavarian for the 100%, just finished my Aladdin run, and I already did the caliphate strikes back and sakya trizin, but I'm yet to do SPQR and Khan of Khans
You dont need a claim to the Prophet Muhammad Peace be Upon Him's Leaniage to be a Caliph, actually dynastic succession in Islam wasnt allowed until the Umayyads came out, Dynastic Succession was frowned upon, Anyone that has a religious education and is learned in religion can become a Caliph no one needs noble leaniage (and sorry if im not pronouncing it right) Allah sees every person equal, a king is equal to a beggar, But you should try forming a alliance with the Hashemites they are descendants of the Prophet aswell and rule part of Arabia

i saw the previous playthrough on my recommended, but didn't like the fast pace, so I wrote you off as one of those map painters. Im so glad I took a stab at this series, although still quite quick, your ability to roleplay and build that narrative is really nice. Definitely will be on a lookout for more of your rolepay series from now on

A suggestion, i love you and your videos this is not a hateful critique but, you should get a pop filter, and if you have one maybe try changing it or the settings of your recording software. Popping "p"s is a pet peeve of mine, and it would make your channel seem more professional and approachable. Anyway, awesome video, very excited about the series. Keep up the good work.

The popping has been a pet peeve of mine for a while now, but I haven't found how I can perfectly eliminate it. I think it's mostly about physical mic position. I'll keep working on it!
Hey OPB, what kingdom and empire are you going for? Instead if going for the de-jure, why not make the caliphate your primary title and form a custom kingdom from it? And then empire?
Makes the game a bit harder, you'll have to stay as a Duke until you gain independence, but it's not as if you struggle with ck2 anyway.
Just think itd be a bit more fun painting the map as "The Sunni Caliphate" than Iraq or Syria.
Will you be using this map mode in every playthrough?
Hey OPB, just a correction on your spellings. Turkish "s" is pronounced like "s", not as "j" or "g" that you pronounce like in Aslıhan and Alp Arslan.

have you used the century gothic mod ? makes the font much easier to read for the viewers

Theatrum Orbis Terrarum mod already changes the font. I don't know if they are compatible.
