- Oops we have started another project! We are embarking on building a cottage kitchen in a cardboard box out of yes you guessed it, cardboard! This is a spice rack with real spices.
If you would like to see us finding the things we use pop over to our other channel "Mudlarking With Kit + Caboodlers" - / @mudlarkingwithkitcabo...
#crafting #dollshouse
When you first directed your viewers to this new channel some time ago, I as an ordinary man, didn't think this would be for me. But after a couple videos, I am absolutely fascinated by this. Thank you again, ladies..
Little books? "The Amazing woeld of Herbs and Spices" "Medicinal Herbs"...
Listening to and watching you work together is like therapy...your relatiinship is so lovely and your creations are so fun. Brings me joy ...thank you!! ❤
🎉i think having a bowl 🥣 of strawberries at the top with a cheeky mouse having a nibble would look sweet 🎉
The cardboard used by picture framers for mounting is perfect for this and they often have many off cuts that go to waste.
I just love this. Fleur, real gardeners ALWAYS have scruffy nails! Kate, using your hand as a paint palette 🎨 is genius. The onions are stunning! Maybe a wee mouse 🐁 in the upper left?
A nutmeg grater and some nutmeg.
A pepper grinder.
Cinnamon sticks.
Mustard pot and spoon...
ginger jar!
Great ideas!!
Measuring spoons. Wooden spoons hanging from nails on the open bottom space 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩💖💖💖💖
Oh my goodness, this is so precious. If I hadn't seen it started as cardboard, I wouldn't be able to tell. You ladies have such creativity. I think using something that anyone can have access to is great. In this economy, reusing what we have on hand is very important. Can't wait for the " kitchen" to take shape out of your imaginations. 😊😊
🙋♀️❤️ Lovely Ladies, Lovely Day! Lovely little world 🍓
Scales? A grater? Vase of flowers. Stack of nicely folded teatowels.
For the empty space, perhaps a little sack of flour, some cinnamon sticks? Looks really good, a great start to the kitchen!
Suggestion for the emptyish shelf. A few recipe cards, maybe in a recipe card holder, one of those wire ones that hold the card up.
I love that you using cardboarding. 😊
Another beautiful video!! You ladies are so crafty! Would love to be able to sit with a cup of tea and craft with you both! Or mudlark... or grow veggies... or create awesome things! All of the above!😊 Great job ladies!😊
Your imagination always impresses me. Well done.
More creative genius,I’m in ore of the two of you. I have garlic hanging on my spice rack along with a bottle of Olive oil and Cider Vinegar x
Thank you. Every time I watch one of your videos I know what a wonderful world we live in.
I love this! You could add small bag of flour or corn, or also a couple of canisters that could hold grains of some sort. A tiny mouse sneaking in to steal something. Oooh!! Tiny cinnamon sticks. Ok i’ll stop now…..
I'm so missing your mudlarks. I've now started re watching your old videos ❤❤
I didn’t realize until now you are mother and daughter. How sweet!
Maybe a sugar bowl?
You said for us to give suggestions so maybe some chilli peppers 🌶️ on a string for the front or other side of the spice rack. I guess you use them over there but if not they would look pretty.
Lovely, can’t wait to see more cardboard kitchen items x🇬🇧
The size of twine you have make the best baskets. Get a tooth pick to brush the sides with glue as you wined around.
Made for miniature fairy gardens.
The spice rack is really well done, so cute.
Dear Kate, to live in your head....
Simply magical 🎉
For the top shelf, how about a Cook Book??? Lay it on its side so as not to hide the flower design. The old Better Homes and Gardens cook book used to have a red and white checkered design like the material you used on your spice jars. You could use the material to cover the book. Paint the title in black letters. I also like someone else’s idea of a jar of cinnamon sticks!😁
Lovely! Maybe you could make a little peppermill?
Awesome job with this! I thought a pear or an orange would be a good addition for the top shelf of the spice rack to add more depth.
Beautiful! What about making one of those tall vintage kitchen cabinets with the cupboards and drawers? ❤
Love this so adorable. I think little packets of sauces would be fun. Little baking powder or baking soda, vanilla any baking items really.
Measuring cups and spoons would be nice.
Adore these miniature creations!
The onions 😍. I love using cardboard for my miniatures it’s so versatile. Kate your spice rack is wonderful, can’t wait to see the rest of the kitchen evolve. Salt and pepper grinders could be an addition, fiddly to make though. 💛🧡🤎
You ladies never cease to amaze me. What wonderful imaginations and skill. Thank you for sharing all these parts of you😊❤
What spectacular work … It’s all about the details when creating miniatures and the two of you make it look so easy!
It's wonderful to see your imagination bringing this creation to life. And ,as always your banter is interesting and often hilarious. Keep well.
Very cute idea for a cardboard kitchen. Your details are impeccable I love watching you turn a nothing into something amazing. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💜
Very skillful crafting Kate, the detail was excellent as was the idea.
You never cease to create amazing things. I love the cardboard kitchen idea. A tin of tea. Maybe peppermint from the garden. Measuring spoons? It’s just lovely
Amazing!!!🤗the onions are fantastic...
A recipe box with tiny cards sticking out, maybe a hanging strand of red peppers or garlic.
Great idea! Love it 🙂 I have wooden salt & pepper shaker/grinder on my spice rack. Thought the onions were going to be garlic at first! They look fab. Can't wait to see what you make next.
Oh so cute! I never thought of making onions like that, they’re great! I am currently making a small mouse house with almost everything cardboard and clay. This is timely to be sure.
How about a small hand turned grinder to grind the dried spices with. You could even put a pot with a live spice plant on it.
The onions, they are perfect. Love the spice rack and everything on it.❤❤
So cute, what a lovely idea !🌟
Maybe could add salt and pepper pots ? A string of chilli's ? A tiny bottle of tabasco sauce ?
P.s. have you ever seen 'The Gingerbread Man' children's animated (same kind of style of animation like Bagpuss) series about the things on the shelf in a kitchen coming to life when the humans are asleep ? You'd love it..
Thank you for another lovely video.
The two spiceracks that spring to my mind are the corner shaped ones that go on the end of shelves and the ones that slot over the hoods of cookers.
Ladies you both blow my mind on how clever and gifted you are 👍🏾👍🏾
Hehe very cute ladies 😊 I’m thinking a little garlic clove or two would look cool or some jars of pickles? Or maybe some little cookery books? Ha I keep editing my comment and adding more ideas sorry 🤣 maybe a little pot with a living herb in? X
For sure cookbooks! They'll need a set of those bookshelves when we're done with our suggestions! 😊
It's very reminiscent of what I used to do as a kid with cardboard, but I never painted them. I prefer working with better materials now because it looks better, it's what you do when you like creating things and don't have a lot of cash to spend.
The spice rack is too adorable!❤❤❤
I love this project! Most of us do have cardboard in abundance. Love the fingernail polish, as well as the lovely blouse cuffs. So Edwardian!
🤍🤎🧡
I love when you use scraps of junk to make things! Keeps them out of the landfill and is very enjoyable to watch. Thank you for sharing. ❤😊
Fabulous spice rack! Greetings from the rural countryside of New Hampshire (East Coast - New England area) USA.
So clever love this channel my favorite ❤️
Salt and pepper would look good, Either shakers or grinders. Great video!
So sweet!
A garlic crusher, for rack.
Good morning to all, such a lovely video and it makes my day so awesome. I’m flashed from the little roots on the onion stripe…amazing job and I’m seeing forward to the next furniture from the cardboard kitchen. Thanks for sharing
Love the little spice rack ladies, as always your projects turn out so lovely, what about making a little nutmeg grater to hang on the side of the rack?, those onions are so cute too Kate, tfs x Julie

The pen made into jars is a brilliant idea ✨✨✨✨✨💕💕💕💕💕💕💕Thank you for sharing😊😊😊
SO delightful! But please either no music or less volume as it drowns out your lovely chit chat. Adore your videos! ❤
Very beautifully done, it is so amazing how cardboard can look so much like real wood, everything turned out amazing 💕
Very cute. Love it.❤
So sweet. I love it!! Maybe faux cork for lids! ❤️❤️❤️
Love watching all your videos so calming and relaxing. Your imagination never ceases to amaze.
The onions are great.. ❤
What a wonderful spice rack! Love it
Nutmeg grater!.....maybe... somehow cut a thimble in half? 🤷♀️
... odd question... do you get plastic thimbles?
No... I've got it! One of those things bank clerks have on thier finger ends so as to quickly and smoothly count cash; cut in half lengthways; glued to a tiny metal rounded rectangle... et voila... a miniature nutmeg grater.
Delightful.
It is absolutely amazing and adorable. Turned out so well. All.those Details. I love it.
Pepper grinder, string of chillies, olive oil, salt cellar, Tabasco, potted herb plants, garlic bulbs
I love it and the onions are great. YOu have some really good ideas that other people could try with their children would make good project for the holidays on a rainy day. Bandage makes good jar tops for the dollshouse. Your strawberries look good mmmmmmm. Stay safe and love to all.
Fabulous how card becomes strong with glue and paint.
What would an 'older' garlic press have looked like? Did they always resemble a pair of pliers, requiring the finger and thumb?
:) cardboard iron skillets to hang on the wall.. be cool to have a tiny Lord's Supper. Much love from Southeast Kentucky
Aw.. so cute!
Wonderful film.... you posting makes me so happy xxx
I have a tiny nutmeg grater & salt & pepper pots on my spice rack ❤ love the project can’t wait for the rest xx
such tiny bits of herbs 😊 excellent job!

Oh well done, that’s amazing. Take care and thank you for sharing 👏🙏❤️
I love what you made the little card board cubbaed, you made it real looking, great job.wow that is something I would love to do.love your videos girls.
That's really cool, great use of things lying around xx
Too cute, you're very crafty! ❤️❤️❤️😍😍👍
You two never cease to amaze me!! Your creativity is beyond measure, it’s SO fun to watch you sweet girls! Thanks for all your hard work!! 💝💝
You are so creative . Love watching.
5:46 As soon as I saw you create those onions, my mind immediately envisioned Badger's pantry from the Wind in the Willows! My suggestions would entail cheese cloth and twine, dried chiles, random gourds, dried mushrooms in a jar, star anise, jars of pickled things (okra, carrots, beans), a pen and paper and some baggies, empty jars and lids, small jar of bay leaves, a block of Himalayan salt, a string of beets and or/turnips and cloves of garlic hung by their stems. Maybe even some lavender bouquets and honeycomb. You could also include an old meat grinder.
11:40 I love the little jam jars!! Maybe add some packets of pectin or a box of pickling salt.
😊 Also, maybe a couple of old jar ring stains on the shelf and and old, yellowed recipe tacked or taped up for brining something. Hope that helps!
I love these videos and wish they all were at least an hour long! l😅❤
Totally agree
WOW that’s amazing what you both have created. The tiny and I mean tiny details are so so good and look like spices or jam.. Another fantastic video ❤️
Yeaa! A new video from my favorite creative duo! Be well from washington state USA ❤️
Super cute ❤🥰 love it 😍 thank you Lovelies for sharing your wonderful creation with us 😊
i was unsure when you started with cardboard but wow, so cute! You inspire me.😁
I love the idea of using an old pen to make the jars! I've been planning to use a lot of cardboard and recycled materials in my current miniature project (folklore cottage) and those jars will fit in perfectly. I'll also be trying to make recycled paper clay for the first time, a material I imagine would work well for this project of yours too. I can't wait to see the rest of the kitchen you make
I thought about the plastic tube from the tops of new small artists brushes might make good spices jars 🤔. You did a fabulous job. Happy Crafting 😎🍀💜
We had that idea too but we could not find any haha :)
Absolutely adorable! I rarely receive your channels notifications sadly. Have a beautiful day!
We do seem to have the same issue with lots of people. We would suggest just checking occasionally on our channel. We do now regularly upload on a Tuesday at 9.00 :)
Geniuses. Indeed.
