The respect that Dave and the Foos show these legends of rock is really great and certainly due. The band captures "hop" in this groove perfectly. The little anticipation at the beginning of the guitar solo is the perfect example - not to mention that he nailed the solo from the original recording. (some solos just have to be played the way they were written..!) Everyone kicks complete ass on this - so much fun to watch.
You get it, as a musically informed fan...I just saw her literally 3 days ago - she still belts it out @ 72 y/o, wish I could attach a smarty phone vid here...but that pop in her voice, without crackles, is still there, still echoing in my head days later, and I'm OK w/that!

That's why The Foo Fighters made the R&R HOF. This and when they performed Polk Salad Annie with Tony Joe White. They revere and a respect the legacy of the genre. ROCK AND ROLL.
