San José del Álamo 🏃‍♂️ Virtual Run in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria 🇮🇨

A Virtual Run on the outskirts of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria! We'll start from the settlement of San José del Álamo, pass by a recreational area of the same name (popular among the city folks looking for relax, picnic and outdoor activities, without having to travel very far away from the city for it), and head towards Tamaraceite, another neighborhood in Las Palmas. We will cross a number of hiking trails along the way.
This is a suburb and city run for almost an hour! A part of the run was on trail, over the hills around the city. More episodes from the second season are coming, stay tuned!
Some of the notable places we'll be passing by:
- 1:50 Iglesia de San José del Álamo
- 12:00 Zona Recreativa San José del Álamo
- 33:00 Ciudad del Campo
- 37:00 La Suerte
- 39:40 Tamaraceite
- 45:00 Parque Tamaraceite Sur (with a structure looking like a roller coaster, which it is not 😂)
For the safety of the treadmill runners, I will not turn the camera towards the views. If you wish to take a closer look, try using the Maps Street View, or better yet, come visit Las Palmas in person!
There is no music or voice commentaries in the video, only authentic sounds of the city and me running, breathing, sometimes clearing my throat or coughing 😁 Feel free to mute and play some music of your choice instead!
