Probably the same that went through Federers head when he lost Wimbledon in 2019 against Djokovic. Third consecutive final he lost against him there. The same as Roddick, third time against Federer. And the interesting thing is, look at the matchpoint 2009 how Roddick mishits the ball and then 2019 how Federer mishits the ball. ( you really should watch it to know what i mean) And both the matches are their third matches.

It's evident that Andy is still feeling the Wimbledon loss. That match was played at such a high level, it was so intense. Agree. That's why he is voted by his own peers, year after year for the sportsmanship award. His fellow players respect what he has achieved but also the sportsman that he is. This is a very touching interview, especially because it is between Roddick and Federer. He interviews Federer briefly about what it takes, what was his inspiration and how will he continue to compete against the tennis world as he continues to age. Roddick gets right to the point and clears ambiguities of the man people might've had and also shows Federer's respect for other players. I really would have loved it if Roddick won Wimby '09. He really did deserve it that year and he is amongst the most loved of all tennis players. The game is not the same without Andy, but this is just how the sport of tennis is, point by point. I hope to see more of Andy's involvement in tennis even if he's not competing.
