Oh my gosh! Those child craft pages just too me back to my childhood! I have got to get my hands on these. One of these days, I’ll find a set at an estate sale and my husband will flip his lid.
they are some of my favorite books! I absolutely love them!
I enjoyed this video very much! Some beautiful papers.
I think it makes perfect sense to spread the papers out and put them in order. I think it makes the journal flow better in my opinion lol. I do the same thing though my stash isn't as fab as yours but it is growing. I'm determined to organize it this weekend! Wish me luck! Big city hugs, Kay💜
You may not be a designer, but my oh my you have a great sense for design!
Binge watching this series and loving it. Thank you for such informative videos on doing a ring bound junk journal!
You're so very welcome! tfw!
Thank you for sharing your knowledge and experience. Now I buy every book and magazine and that appealzl to me hoping to make a journal of several journals.
Wonderful! I hope you make a ton of journals and have so much fun doing it!
Love the paper choices... Tfs
Thanks for showing your process. I have purchased every binder at every library sale and antique store in a 20 mile radius since I've discovered junk journals...Lol, and I can't stop buying books OF ALL KINDS. Lordy, I'm even hiding things. I'm need to start a Build A Binder workshop! Tfs❤.
Haha! You should see my house, lol. I have soooo many books and I told my husband "it's not hoarding, if it's books!" I actually have gotten him interested in going to the thrift stores too and he will go and find sweet books for me too now. He actually got me really old books for my Christmas present last year. I love that he is so interested in what I do and on the weekends sometimes, we will go spend the day in thrift stores and it's so much fun!
I totally relate! 😄
Carmen Younger Sloan, I’m so glad to know I’m not the only one that does this.
Great way to sort the page choices out😍
Great share my friend.
This is great!
Love just looking through all the pretty papers!
TFS! I have enjoyed watching all your process videos today.
Another great video, it is interesting to see how different the process can be with different JJ artists. Thank you for sharing!
I enjoyed watching this process. I just started my first 3 ring binder journal. I have one piece of designer paper in it so far. This video gave me some good ideas. Thanks so much!
Diane, you have an interesting tutorial, loads of learning ideas. Where are the journaling pages?
I'm not sure I understand your question? Do you mean where's the video for the journaling pages, or where are the actual journal pages? Haha, I'm such a dork sometimes lol
Oh , I wasn’t ready for it to end! Can’t wait for the installment!
Thank you for going to the trouble and extra time to help us others to understand more about binder journaling. I do have a question; I see that the original pages were 7" wide but there seems to be a couple more inches on each side, that the papers could go all the way to the end of the cover but did you have to keep the new pages within those limits or could you have let some go all the way to the end or not have to fold some of the ones that especially had a picture that you would prefer to not fold, or are there reasons we should keep them at the original 7" ? Sorry if this sounds confusing. It's probably just me and not understanding something simple that should be evident. Thanks again, Tami
Hey Tami, tfw! You can make the pages longer if you want to, the reason I keep them to the original size is just to make sure they don't stick out of the side of the book. But you can make them longer, as long as they stay inside the cover. Great question!
This was a fun tutorial, Diane! Tfs!
You are so talented!😊🌼
Love love love it!!! I can't wait for the next video.
Loving your binder journal, I like the binder idea. Where did you find the kitchen inspired 12x12 papers.
It is 7gypsies/Canvas Corp paper ... I sell it in my shop. I may be out right now, but if you see something you want, let me know and I can get it for you. tfw!
I should have just waited till the end of the video and see that I could have answered my own question ! Sorry, I admit that I'm kind of dingy. It does look like the pages go all the way to the edge of the cover once it's closed !! Duh. Thank you again though for great videos.
Where is the person getting the picture book suppose to journal or is it something else I am unclear
Oh! I understand now, lol. Usually, people journal on all of the pages. They either collage over the pages, or paint them with gesso so they can write on them. I tend to just write over the words and pictures. And lots of people add in their own pictures over those pages. It's all about getting creative with it.
