Yes this song changed my life, I listened to it on a plane from London to Tokyo (was a school trip to London) for the first time. I decided to move to the UK to study art inspired by this song and XTC, and now happily living in the UK for more than half of my life.
I am 20 years old, I discovered xtc two years ago and it has slowly become my all-time favorite band. From White Music to Apple Venus Volume 2 their entire discography is almost perfect. Sometimes I forget that other people are aware of their existence because they’re so underrated. I am extremely grateful for every cover and tribute I find, but this one is exceptional. More attention should be given to the latter half of their music.
If only people and radio DJs (who of course - mostly just know "Nigel" and "Senses" ) were to discover the sheer breadth of XTC's back catalogue... how different things would be.
I really wasn't going to even attempt it, but then I noticed people around me dimming their screens and sneaking some vids and pics and that was when I decided it was important to at least try and capture this amazing moment
Oh this brought a couple of tears to my eyes. How wonderful having these legends enjoy covering the band I've enjoyed and been thrilled by since I was a 10yr old listening to my brothers Drums and Wires Casette.
I know that Madison has made refernce to the Venus Apple album a few times in interviews.. Was going to say that she is really into it here.. But then Jacob and Chris are too.. The only way to do an XTC song.. If you're not totally into it.., then don't even try.. Thanks for posting this.. This is awsome..🎶❣️👍
