I still need lots of practice but I do hope these simple tips will work for you!

Such great tips Deely! I salute everyone who can perfect combo songs that are above easy lol I can barely full combo songs on hard like 70% of the time let alone perfect combo. Usually I PC when I don't even pay attention. Wild huh?! 😆
Thank you!💕 Yeah, seems like pc is easier to come when we're relaxed and don't think about it too much!😁 ah~ I believe over time you will slowly master the hard difficulty and then going up to expert 💜
Lol I have some tips myself. Idk if these will help cause I use my phone with thumbs:
- familiarizing yourself with the beat map is helpful
- relax your hands. But not too much or you’ll click too slow
- make sure your hands are lined up with like the beat line It’s very curvy
- in settings, turn on FAST/SLOW. It’s a huge help, and makes you a bit more careful when playing
- If you click too fast, speed up. If u click too slow slow down
- really get into the zone when ur playing. I’d recommend playing an easier beat-map at first to RE-familiarize yourself with the style of a curved beat line
- and this one has nothing to do with accuracy, more of just full combos: if you’re repeatedly missing a certain part of the song (or any part) l, screen record yourself playing the beat-map, then look over the recoding to find out what you missed and how to get it. Or watch play-throughs.
- AND I just thought of a realllyyy good one for thumb players: make sure your entire hand is in a placed in a way you can play the game without your thumbs feeling uncomfy.
- I’d recommend going to enstars’ official channel, cause you’ll find videos of special beat maps that are played with thumbs. Try matching the position they have their hands in. I personally have my index finger & pinky under my phone, instead of only one pinky
- don’t put too much pressure on your screen when tapping. Play it like a piano. Press the screen as light as you can, but not so light, you don’t actually touch your phone. This also makes it easier to relax your ENTIRE hand
- one more lol: you reallyy don’t wanna dwell on flick notes. Especially on something small like a phone. Try keeping all of your thumb movements to a minimal when hitting notes. In beat maps like last lament, it is very helpful to minimize movement of the flick notes in the chorus, so it is easier to hit the regular notes right after. And even in the barrage of flick notes in dance in apocalypse (before the spp), minimize the flick note movements so you can be faster. I would HIGHLY recommend looking over your own screen recording of the beat map, so you can try reading the notes and minimize misses.
- This is why I’d also recommend trying out having the mark line position on top. On something like a phone, your thumbs are gonna be way too stretched out. And since the mark like position is on top, it’s smaller so your thumbs have more agility.
- also play around with the settings and see what your comfortable with. I personally use type B notes cause they’re easier to read and easier on my eyes. I constantly switch between 12.0 to 12.8 speed. The notes size is always at 120%, or 130%
- also ACCURACY mode in ‘Talents’ and accuracy cards to save your fc or pc

Actually I played Deemo before and didn't find it difficult/awkward at all to use all 10 fingers just like playing the piano but I find it really difficult to play with more than 2 fingers on Enstars 😭😭 (yeah maybe because the very curvy mark line) but I'm constantly trying to evolve my playstyle to more than two fingers, hopefully I can manage it eventually!

I'll add some tips (to your already great list!):
1.0 - PLAYING
• watch gameplays.
- focus on what fingers are used (for smoother transitions)
- watch in slowmotion (to understand the beatmap)
- record yourself, analyze your typical mistakes (submitted by @kyanite4159 via comment section)
• change volume settings.
- turn off voices, they can be distracting
- decrease music volume or increase note volume. This way it's easier to hear if you're tapping in rhythm.
• game mechanics.
- get used to the game mechanics and use it to your advantage. Flicks notes can be played without releasing the display. Holding notes only count when the dots hit the line; etc.
• alternate your tapping fingers.
- switch from 4+ fingers to only index fingers for example (or add more fingers). This helps to keep the focus. Sometimes you internalize mistakes and make them repeatedly, because you're "zoned out" or "used to play it this way".
• sizes (device, gameplay)
- if multiple devices, find out what size fits the best for your hands
- mark line position top will make your line less wide ;)
- play around with different note sizes; I prefer smaller for better accuracy while note spams
• vision:
- focus on one point on your display (personally I focus on a point about 1/4 display size below the note source circle). Fast eye movements can lead to oversee notes.
• alternate between different rhythm games.
- for example, Cytus II helped me to improve flick notes; D4DJ (manual mode) helped me with speed changes etc.
2.0 - MINDSET
• take breaks.
- especially after long playing sessions. 1-2 days without playing and then returning work wonders! (Brain needs breaks to process everything! - Plan your pauses so you don't miss events ;) )
- you'll become tired after excessive playing. Can be frustrating. Less focus, sounds become "annoying", etc.
• don't force success.
- Try to play with a "casual mindset". Stress can make you nervous.
- Playing should be fun, not being stressful;)
3.0 - TECHNICAL
• boost device performance.
- turn off background syncing.
- turn off notifications.
- close all running apps (including running in background)
- disable battery optimization
- make sure to have enough empty storage (in my case, less than 4GB caused lagging/freezing)
• check various gaming engine settings.
- many devices come with a game engine to boost the experience. I set it to "FPS" modus. Can reduce video quality, but notes appear smoother and less laggy.
- Avoid everything that "automatically applies the best settings while playing". You don't want your engine to change settings while playing! Can lead to more lagging.

I'm not a "perfect combo" player (maybe in easy and normal mode, lol), but these tips improved my playing A LOT.
And thank you for this video! Especially the note timing setting was a life saver. And 2D mode is the best for higher performance :)
I prefer to not use support card or combos, but thats my personal view (wanna see my "true results").

Thank you!! I'm using the default for the note timing so now I'll do some adjustments. All my perfect combos in hard mode and my only perfect combo in expert mode are fluke. I don't have any support card so I'll definitely aim for FS Hiiro and wish him on my birthday!

when i play on 2d, i get distracted by the card cg staring deeply into my soul, but when i play on 3d, the mv just gets so shiny i go blind LMOAJFJSKFA thats why i resort to only playing occassionally 😭

Oh my goodness, I just tried it in normal mode since I always get frustrated with getting 'great' and I actually did a perfect combo after following your advice 💖💖. This is my first rhythm game and I'm really into it so I've been trying to do better. It'll take time for me to do more difficult levels but this is an improvement. Thank you so much 💖💖

Personal tip as someone with bad eyesight, changing the size of the notes and adjusting how light or dark the background can help.
I used to miss a lot of flicks before because I can't see it well enough.

@@deelys I usually play Ensembles on PC, but as if recently, I have been mobile gaming.
Thank you for the video, this is very helpful. To be honest, I was able to go from level 24 to level 27+ and I also got level 28 and my first song in level 28 is paradise banishment (I was really shocked when I got it) For the rest of level 28+ and above, it's still difficult for me do :)
My settings are 2D mode, note timing -3, mote speed 8.0-8.2, note size 120 % and don't forget to use the perfect combo support card (I'm really grateful to get 3 support cards (HIMERU, koga (limited scout) and shu), hope others have them too) I'm thumb player, I've tried the index finger player but it's still the same, I can't position my hand :(

My personal tips is just to take it easy, just keep playing at your own pace and don't get mad when you don't pc or fc a song. Also don't keep playing the same song just to pc or fc it, while it does indeed work but won't it be boring to keep playing the same song over and over? Just play other songs with the same level and you'll be fine.
And another tip is to just enjoy the song, "feel the beat". Don't keep focusing on the notes too hard, just look at them and the rhythm of the song and you'll know when it's the right time to hit them~
I didn't have a rough start since I had experience with playing rhythm games but in that game there weren't side flicks... and when I tell you I STRUGGLED to hit them.. 😭
In the end I ignored that and just kept playing hard songs and sometimes expert and before I knew it I got the hang of it!
Same with pcing songs!~ (I before could only dream of doing that lmao XD)
Also, just sharing; I play on 10.6 (jp), 11 (eng) speed! 👀

Aahh I feel you about the flicks 😭 I'm easily confused by left and right (I heard most girls do lmao) and that what makes it hard for me, my brain can't think faster than the flick notes speed... But it seems our dreams have come true nowadays since we can pc most songs! I hope we'll continue to grow in Enstars 💕💕

I would like to add that for the sake of future songs that'll be added (starting from Neo Sanctuary) it is good if you can play at slower speeds/get used to speed changes with practice to help with the pcs

P.S. I'm mainly a thumb player but for the past year have also played using fingers. On JP, I have pc all songs up til difficulty 29 with lots of practice. You can definitely do it too~!

I also use both my thumb and my index finger to play! I normally use my thumb on Easy,Normal and Hard mode and if the Expert mode is hard for me when i first played it,i'll switch to my index finger the second time!
I adjusted the note timing and all of the settings when i first played the game! (This has been my habit because i play a lot of rhythm games-)
I always put the beatmap on 3D mode that i forgot about the 2D haha! I didn't want to change it because i love the animations and didn't bother to change it 😅
I PC-ed only some songs on Expert mode but some are just hard for me T^T
(I perfected the flick note on Milky Starry Dream on my first try of the song! That part was fun for me and i even danced a little while playing 😆)

I am so terrible that I don't even wanna share my experience 😖 I can full combo upto lvl 27 and very rarely 28 but pc is still... Even with support card pcing expert is too much for me. T_T
And milky starry charm has such a fun beat map but then comes those flick notes and my combo goes again and again 🤯
But I experience a rather strange thing always. My note speed and every setting is same in JP and EN but I can full combo and perfect combo easily there but can't do the same song in EN I don't know why 🤭

Mmm, I use different setting on EN and JP... I guess different app needs different setting 🤧 maybe you can try to adjust EN setting just a tiny bit?

sweet sweet white song drives me crazy. i managed to get pc during the event but after the event i suddenly lost my touch idk why 😭. i cant get pc and cant get great under 8 even with pc combo support and accuracy talent. during the event i can get great under 4 easily.
enstars burnout happens so much 😭😭 try to practice playing the game but make sure u take breaks and auto during livefes so that u can replenish ur finger stamina
OMG 😭😭 that must be so frustrating... Maybe you should try to ignore the song for a while... maybe your touch will come back after taking a break playing from playing the song 💞
I play on jp server, and my note timing is -1 to -5 depends on my mood lmao, and timing on 8.9 to 9.2 it's more easier to play when is fast because the notes have more distance. I've been playing a lot. I play with one hand index and the other middle finger.
I recommend playing the song on special and then go to expert, that way your hand get used to the special and when you do expert it's more easier.
Level up cards that have the Great/ perfect (like said in the video) and get good support for your team.
And what i do is I listen to the song on yt that i want to PC so i know the notes and timing and also you can play the song muted and focus on the notes and then play with music.
And finally just enjoy the song, dont concentrate on the notes just relqx and let it play

when i was losing my mind pc'ing last lament my best tip for myself was playing the parts i messed up over and over again until i could do them (like quitting everytime i missed so i could try again) and it took ages but i finally did it! by doing this i've been able to pc every song except for eternal weaving gate of the abyss and dance of the apocalypse (i avoid playing these lol)
but practice rlly does make perfect!

I can only pc some easy songs I can't even full clear expert songs yet TT and lvl 30 songs still scare 😭 but I can manage to survive dance in the apocalypse since I think the beatmap is fun but I cannot clear the undead song at all I find it overwhelming, the clear for that song is still blank for me 🥲

Level 30 songs are so scary 😭😭 I haven't been able to fc any of them either up until now, great job with Dance in the Apocalypse! I love Gate of the Abyss but the beatmap is really an abyss for our fingers 🥲 I believe we eventually will get there tho! Let's practice but also taking it slow 🥰🥰

Thanks for the tips Deely, I learn a bit thanks to them!❤ I usually can fc level 28 and below (or maybe if I’m lucky 29) and it’s sometimes thanks to my link click Mika card and recently just got the doll house Midori😆
As for my pc record, it’s also luck.. since I barely care about getting pc (unless if the song pairs well with my cards) so it all comes to luck and all under 26+ has gotten a pc.
Hopefully with the accuracy talent and the HiMERU support card, I can get more songs to pc. I also have a lot of time being I have graduated high school and have finished my exams☺️ so I’ll make use of my leisure time with it

The only tip I can share how to play better is to not play in the dark. I dunno if it might just be a me thing, but my reaction is so much slower when it’s dark and I always mess up.
I always wonder how people lay their phones/iPads flat on the table to play.. it really hurts my neck because I’ve to sorta bend forward and look down on the screen and my phones camera kinda sticks out so my phone always wobbles around when I play, so I just use my thumbs. I really envy those who can use their index fingers while playing tho, it’s so much easier than using thumbs 😅

Maybe because your id is "sunflower" you do need lights (unfunny joke pardon me 😭) i can play well without lights but I should increase my phone brightness or I can't see the notes..
I personally think it's easier than thumbs indeed since our fingers can move more freely but you're right about the neck 😭 it hurts sometimes when I play too long... Oh I put someting under my phone (my empty earphones pouch) so it'll stay firm on the table 😁 and not slipping when I hit those flick notes

from personal experience, mirrored mode helps alot (i can pc up to 30 and the only song on eng that i havent pc'd is knockin fantasy that beat map sucks..)

i actually get many perfect combos every tour event, and i remembered when i PCed my first expert difficulty song, i was ecstatic loool. for me personally, it's easier to get PC on tour event because i always have a target subconciously to at least full combo every song, so i can get more points. and it somehow became a habit😅
also, i feel like when i don't really want to get perfect combo, i somehow managed to get it😂😂
Perfect combo is just like 5*, they come unexpectedly lol 😭😣

In my case I'm a thumb player, play at 9.5 speed note, and I'm goodvery in getting pc and with the support of Shu, I don't suffer with don't getting pc by 1 just 1 note TwT

The PC support cards😭... I couldn't get Shinobu with over 100 pulls before and now I'm only saving for my oshis (I'm losing the trust for scouting, except for 4 dupes Aira on the last day of the Branco Scout! Rabui~!💞One more to get the SCR but I'm out of dias) so no PC support card for me😭. I hope they come home on some random scout but now I'm relying entirely on the Society Talent. I have Hiiro card in JP and he saved me many times😭💞
And yes the key is Practice. I was a hardcore rhymth game player before I got into Enstars so getting right into Hard mode is doable for me. Now I can do Expert normally so I'm getting my hand on Special mode (my friends persuaded me to play Special with them everytime and we failed miserably everytime. But it was fun so I'm coming back and practice only to surprise them😝)
