Good review, but you focused so much on the Mark Kinetic. Anyone who has not used the Mark Kinetic is basically without context for the comparisons.
Great review and comparison to the Mark Kinetic. The measured SW and TW is a great feature Thrive is offering. The option of going with a SW of 115 and then being able to weight it up so TW is at around 6.9 without driving up the SW is the only way I could justify the additional cost.
I'm still looking forward to your Spartus Apollo review. 😁
I haven't gotten mine yet but Josh told me it'll be on the way soon. Since I'm a widebody paddle player I'm hopeful that it plays good.
Awesome review, I like that you’re being truthful for what you see, thanks.
Curious what is your main paddle as it now and I would like to know what your brother using as a main paddle. He’s being missed in your reviews 😎.
I played with this paddle last night. Found the sweet spot to be narrow. Spin is nice but the stiff face means making soft swings when dinking.
Totally agree with you on overspending on a paddle. There are plenty of very good paddles that you can get for $150. or less. I've been looking at the Kinetic but after playing with several kevlar faced paddles they feel a little to plush (soft) for my play style. Maybe the kevlar blends would be better but I'm still not completely sold on the advantages of kevlar.
Love the honesty
Great review. How about drives and drop?
Pickleball Will agrees with you.
I played with it. Yes it’s stiffer than the ruby, forza. Still feels soft compared to the metalbone. I found I had easier touch then I did with a forza and similar touch with the ruby. My only complaint about the paddle is, the packaging is horrible for what you’re paying for
I also got mine yesterday and my complaint is no paddle cover!!
Ohh. I didn't know you didn't get a paddle cover...
@@LukasLwMhaha yeah $199 paddle and extra $7 for a cover. The Amazon Hisk $50 paddle has a cover
Nice paddle, but...a lousy 4 month warranty???
1000% Lanky when I saw the price it was a lol moment.
