    I agree with most of what you present here except I like my droppers approx. 4” long on a stiffer mono to reduce tangles and I use the Jack Miller knot, much stronger than an improved clinch, fast and easy to tie! And you start the same way you make a perfection loop but the tag goes around the middle once or twice and then up thru the top loop (towards your reel) the two formed! This is one of the strongest knots I have ever used in my 50 + years fly fishing and I have used most!! I also like to twitch my flys occasionally! Thanks!!
