  • Life In World's Highest Camp On Mount Everest
Every spring, numerous climbers from around the world visit Mount Everest with the goal of reaching its summit, the highest point on Earth. However, most of their time is not actually spent climbing. Yet, most of their time is dedicated not to ascending the mountain's slopes, but to taking rest, acclimatising, and preparing at the mountain’s two principal base camps, one on the Nepal side and one on the opposite side of the mountain in Tibet. Life at these base camps involves a combination of everyday tasks, logistical hurdles, and sometimes intense life-or-death situations.

If I had the money I’d pay to help out every year. I’d pay for a Sherpa guide to go on a multi day hike and just enjoy the snow and beauty. I’m not going to the top, I’m not dying. It’s just lotto talk anyway

The only people that should be around that mountain are the sherpa's their goats & llamas...it just seems to be filling up with tourists that will never leave.

When are they going to install the worlds largest cable car/ski lift network so they can bring 1000's up to the summit everyday? They can rent out temp controlled pressure suits so anyone can "get to the top". There will be luxury hotels as well mid priced options at the basecamp (Basecamp Hilton for wealthy Motel 8K for the less than wealthy) so even more people can get the summit everyday. Of course they will build a giant platform at the top to fit more people at the summit with observation decks, photo areas and oxygen refill stations and of course a Starbucks (oh the prices!!!) Snowstorms and avalanches will be controlled by the latest Nature Contesting (tm) technology. It will be advertised as "safe", you know like Seagate. Summiting Adventures for the whole family starting at 150K per person *prices subject to change, as always.
