      It’s crazy how expensive this game is now, I traded a lot of my PS2 games back when GTA 4 released but something told me to keep all my DBZ games (I think because the trade value for DBZ games wasn’t high at that time in 2008) and now I’m glad kid me didn’t trade any of them

    As a DB fan raised on the PS2, I love these games, but they have largely been surpassed when it comes to gameplay and source material accuracy by games like FighterZ and the often overlooked Super DBZ on the PS2.
    I do think that one thing people don't praise enough about these old games is how perfectly they represented Goku's hairstyle in free camera 3D. I don't think even Sparking Zero has done it as well as BT3 did it.

However this is still a definite S tier game and if Sparking 0 is able to keep that exact same good energy that this game had then I think we're in good hands even if this is gonna be just another anime arena fighter yet again. Don't get me wrong despite not having A PS5, I'm still excited to see this game coming out but we've had so many arena fighters that are all anime that I'm kind of burnt out from the IP. I absolutely can. Some of if not the only things FighterZ objectively has over this game are graphics and an actual balanced/competitive scene if you're into that. The way they play is completely different, so we'd be getting into subjective territory and that's a matter of preference.
      BT3 has a bigger roster, superior stages (far more too btw), in game transformations, in game fusions, battle damage, stage destruction, costumes, costumization, a more memorable soundtrack, dope mini games and i could probably go on and on. Let's not even talk about the story mode cuz even tho BT3's is a watered down version of BT2, it still completely outclasses the offensively bad "story mode" from FighterZ by going through OG, Z, GT and Movie sagas.
      FighterZ is the better competitive game, BT3 is the better dragon ball game. FighterZ is not even the best 2D >>>Dragon Ball game

    • @theflashfan3234
      @theflashfan3234 Před 12 hodinami +1

      Agreed. FighterZ absolutely clears. Having a large roster and in-game transformations doesn't mean anything when all the characters play the same way, and the transformation don't change anything substantial about the way the character works. Heck, FighterZ actually doesn incorporate in-game transformations anyways in MULTIPLE different ways to suit the different characters.
      FighterZ music is also INCREDIBLY underrated, not to mention that the game DOES incorporate stage destruction, but people choose to overlook that for argument's sake.
      It's the most accurate to the source material, with every character's every move, down to the way they walk being able to be overlayed onto a manga panel or an anime scene as a direct reference.
      The way it bridged the gap between the FGC and Dragon Ball fans, while revitalizing the 3v3 tag genre and making one of the most source accurate and faithful games of all time is lightning in a bottle. Almost no licensed game (even the Tenkaichi games) have the same level of love and attention to detail put into them.

      @@EWOODJ Don't be blinded by nostalgia. I grew up with BT2 and BT3 and played them my whole life. They are not even close to the level of detail that DBFZ goes into. You couldn't pick any random normal move from any character and pinpoint its reference the way you can with FighterZ. That, combined with the keyframed visuals, really makes it the gold standard for accuracy.
      Most Tenkaichi characters get an approximation of what their fighting style in the manga and anime is, and a lot of them have their styles made up because they didn't fight all that much in the story. There's also those whose styles are completely different from what they fight like in the source. Very few characters get their fighting style accurately presented in the Tenkaichi games, and even then it's not at the same level.
