Honda is very odd today as if you get the bottom trims, you get the gas engine. As you go up in trims, you move to only the hybrid powertrain. So either you get a basic model in gas, or the more features with the hybrid. No other choices exist. You have to get the car either basic gas or more luxurious hybrid. Surprised they did not mention that major fact. Camry offers an AWD system which was not mentioned either. Nice overview overall as the Chevy Malibu has basically been forgotten by GM.

I did my research before choosing which sedan was best and the Toyota Camry topped the choice by far. Many reasons - first being the natural 2.5 liter engine vs 1.5 turbo (which by common sense must over stress the smaller engine), second a real automatic transmission with real gears, third real gauges on the instrument panel, combined with impressive digital on the xse models, which also have four wheel drive, more impressive body design as well. I did however rate the Honda Accord a distant second.

Surprised they did not mention that major fact. Other sedans to consider are Lexus ES 350 with a V6, Audi A4, and Chevrolet Camaro. Unfortunately, the Mazda 6 was discontinued and was a decent car. The Hyundai Sonata is so-so and has a history of having some good and bad, Sonata is too inconsistent. The worst auto manufacturer is KIA which means Killed In Action. KIA produces vehicles of poor design, use of inferior quality parts, and lack of safety. If you value your life, stay far away from KIA and as you should never own, drive, or be a passenger in a KIA vehicle.

I would own a Chevy before purchasing a Kia or Hyundai. (No offense to those who own them) my experience with them in the past has been a nightmare! Parts are usually expensive, dealer support is laughable at best. They burn oil like cigars. They are nice at first, but don’t expect anything beyond 100,000 miles or any decent resale value.

@@S0L12D3 altima hasnt been in that conversation for years, nissan is not what it once was. as for the accord and camry, having owned an accord and driven both, its up to preference. the accord feels more premium with more features and way better ride quality, while the camry is generally cheaper and offers awd and slightly better reliability, though reliability isnt a major concern in either. the accord is larger and more spacious but also gets worse mileage. as for driving experience its pretty even on all fronts, they are pretty much equally as quick (accord 2.0 sport will beat any camry including the v6, but the 2025+ hybrid camry is slightly quicker than the hybrid accord). i will say though, the steering feel on hondas has always been much better than any other carmakers.
